[This was a bit of an unusual job. Blaze preferred to avoid Everglade, as he wasn't comfortable that his current combat capabilities would benefit him in a city known for its monster attacks and bizarre regulations at night. When he saw the bounty in the paper about someone sick enough to sell off other people as slaves, he couldn't help but feel more inclined to take the chance to help those people.

He was aware that someone else would be joining him, but he wasn't sure who it was. Either way, in Everglade of all places, he welcomed the back up more than ever. Sunset was close, and he knew what that meant for him: with his current abilities, if he wasn't careful, he was a sitting duck. Still, he was no stranger to life threatening operations - even if his previous missions all took place in the sky - so he wasn't about to back out now. He inspected the two guns he kept holstered under his jacket - a standard glock and a tranquilizing pistol - and made sure both clips were fully loaded. He preferred the use of the tranquilizers, but in Everglade, he might have to rely on his other pistol depending on the situation with the night creatures.

He was standing outside the Everglade archway awaiting the arrival of his partner in this operation. If he wanted to help those people and bring the 'Collector' to justice, all while managing to stay alive, he'd have to ensure that they have complete cooperation from start to finish. He's had good luck in Genessia so far, so he's confident that he'd be able to work with this new partner.]

[Dante had been frequenting the various bars in Everglade for a bit now, talking up everyone within ear shot how being a half-breed sucks, and how having a boring master just made things worse. He was attempting to bait out this so-called collector to see if he couldn't get the guy to try and buy him from the 'master.' It wasn't a perfect plan, but it was worth trying. When he approached the gate to see Blaze checking his gear, Dante just shifted the guitar case on his shoulder.]

...So you're my partner on this one, huh? You're gonna have your work cut out for you I have a feeling.

[Blaze looked up when he saw the other man approaching. His curiosity was piqued by the guitar case, but he did tell himself that anything could be hiding in that case. He put his guns back in their holsters under his jacket and turned fully to Dante, giving a nod.]

I don't doubt it. This will be the first time I've been in Everglade.

[In hindsight, that's probably a bad idea, being unfamiliar with the territory and going on a bounty in it... but it's not like he was always familiar with the territories he had to do missions in during the war at home.]

My name's Blaze.

[Dante reaches into his coat, producing Ebony and Ivory, spinning them on his fingers and offering them to Blaze.]

You'll need to hold onto these for now. See, I've been casing the place for a while. Been talking about my 'master' in Fayren looking to sell me - they think I'm a half elf - and you get to be my master.

'Course once we find this guy, the gloves come off.

[He couldn't help but stare a little at the display before slowly taking the two guns and admiring them. He'd never seen guns like that- the craftsmanship was amazing. But now wasn't the time to stare at guns, he listened to what Dante had to say before nodding. The idea of playing the 'master' to another person sounded so wrong- and that could easily be seen in the way Blaze's face briefly twisted in slight disgust- but if Dante was already ahead on the intel game and had a plan, it was worth running with.]

Roger. Did you happen to get any other intel on this guy, or am I right in assuming he's keeping out of sight?

[He shakes his head.]

Everyone is pretty tight-lipped about him. Apparently some of his 'pets' are pretty nasty. Can't imagine they enjoy being pets though. Still, if things get heated, let me take care of it.

I'm a half-breed myself, so I've got a personal stake in this. And I'm a bit sturdier than the normal person. No offense.

None taken.

[He understands he's human and incredibly squishy compared to some people here. And he's taking a huge gamble on that by going to Everglade this late.]

I'd like to think we could detain this guy without much of a fight, but that's probably hoping for too much.

[He also has a bad feeling that his tranquilizer gun isn't going to do him much good.]

I doubt that's going to be an option. He's been far too careful and far too prolific to show any intention of coming along quietly. Besides, someone who gets into his trade? Well, if he hadn't sacrificed his humanity already, he's damn close.

Had a feeling.

[He had his hopes, but oh well. Not like he wasn't used to having no choice but to take the 'by force' route.]

How do we proceed? Any specific locations or passwords to track this guy down?

[Dante shrugs, adjusting the guitar case on his shoulder.]

Best I could do is get someone to say he'd find us, likely through a proxy who will take us to the guy.

[Figures that this guy wouldn't stick his neck out so easily, especially not after there was a public bounty placed on his head.]

Better than nothing. Let's hope our acting skills are up to par for this.

[He looks towards the archway.]
