Action; Waking @ Dream Docks
[Airy grunts softly and almost rolls onto the floor as she wakes up. She remembers Genessia though she hadn't when she'd been asleep. It's weird, very weird, and not like matrix weird but close. At least the cavity thing hadn't happened.
She blinks a few times trying to remember the last few moments prior to going under. They aren't all pretty memories but at this point she's used to it.
She stretches her arms overhead and stands. Her tank-top reveals a new scar along her shoulder that looks like a claw mark and then a thin burn line around her neck that hadn't been able to fully heal. Her eyes haven't lost their gleeful spark though there is an added confidence and strength that hadn't been there before.
Year older and a year stronger.
Airy heads out of the docks looking for her friends, her family and those she loves who are currently in the city. A lot has happened in what she knows is a short period of time here.]
Action; Return @ Holly Heights: Room 102 [Closed]
[A nervous and yet giddy feeling flutters in her stomach when she approaches the familiar door. She remembers Nathan at home and her ridiculous crush on him but she also has the memories of here and their fight. Looking back on it, Nathan is an idiot, and she's ready to tell him that he's more important than anything that's happened to her but first there is something she needs to do.
She knocks on the door before using her key to unlock and push it open. Her head peeks inside first, her light brown hair spilling over her shoulder as her voice rings clearly through the small apartment.]
Hello? Is Random-guy-making-breakfast-down-stairs here? I'm looking for him.
Action; Practicing @ Anywhere
[Things have changed for Airy. She has these powers and now she sort of understands them. She doesn't have her practice room like she had in HQ but that doesn't mean she can't practice. She keeps finding new places wanting to be away from people, if only to avoid interruptions. Not that she minds interruptions but part of this practice is focus and it turns out that Airy is easily distracted.
For those who find her they'll see Airy sitting on the ground, a current of water shifting around her in a small circle. Bubbles float in a rainbow of reflections in the air around her while soft piano music plays from nowhere.
Airy's eyes are closed and she can't tell if people are close unless they happen to be very loud about it.]
Text;
It's Airy. I didn't tell many people I was leaving but I'm back now.
[She hadn't thought people would miss her.]
Just a heads up! Feel free to hit me up if you need anything. I'm going to finally go get a job! What that is will be pending...

You were in the Dream Docks recently? So was I. Hi.
-Mayu Nozaki
Text
Hi Mayu!
Yeah, I admit I thought that it'd be weird or painful. Turns out it's just really weird. So~ Dream Docks buddies? How'd it feel for you? Like matrix's weird or am I the only one getting that vibe?
Text
Matrix weird, especially with the time discrepancy. I was still in middle school in the dream.
Text
Middle school? I had a year pass in the Dream Docks so somehow I'm twenty but a week passed here. Its sorta messed up to think about it but I'm a year closer to drinking. Not that I really want to drink but you know...

[SUPER SPECIAL ACTION]
One could say it was all in his head and they wouldn't be wrong. It was always all in his head. In hindsight he should have anticipated that Battler would be depraved enough to show the rest of Genessia just what he'd done, but he'd just... he'd been too far gone to think. Too mortified. Too afraid. And now everyone knew his biggest secret: that he was as mad as hatters came.
He'd faced Dave again out of necessity. The kid had needed someone. But other people... people like Terra, like Airy? He didn't know if he could. In fact, he was almost positive that he couldn't. Not if they knew who he really was.
At some point he had opened the text box to respond, but it remained blank. The only thing staring back at him was the blinking cursor prompt as if it was exasperated with his lack of action. After a bit longer he slammed the device face down on a nearby table and buried his face into the arm of the couch.
He couldn't. ]
[SUPER SPECIAL ACTION]
She hasn't seen Jefferson since she left and he hadn't known about her plans. Dave most likely told him but it still feels awkward. Maybe she's changed to much?]
Hello?
[Her tone is soft and she doesn't know if it'll convince or deter anyone from answering the door.]
[SUPER SPECIAL ACTION]
Dave? I'm not answering the door.
[ Jefferson had been about to retreat to somewhere more private, but he stopped midstep when he heard her voice. Airy. He stood frozen, completely conflicted with what he was supposed to do. His brain was telling him two things at once, and neither side seemed to be winning. Stay or go, stay or go? The phrase turned around in his head a few more times.
In the past he had opted to leave. He'd left Grace. Even when she finally remembered him, he had been too scared to let her see him. It was the same now as it had been then. He didn't want Grace to hate him, and he didn't want Airy to either. Not because he'd left, but because he had shown the part of himself that he hated most.
But then there had been Emma's kid.
"Anything is better than nothing."
Maybe he needed to apply that principle again.
The fear was still there, and as he moved to open the door he could feel every nervous tic he had firing off in rebellion, but Henry had been right back then and he knew that he would have told Jefferson the exact same thing in this case if he had been there. With a sharp exhale, he pulled the door open, uncertainty written all over him. ]
Airy...
[SUPER SPECIAL ACTION]
I'm so happy to see you.
[Her voice came out as a whisper, muffled within his coat.
Her family is gone but there were still people she loved. Here and in HQ, she isn't about to forget that or lose them too. She'd do everything she can to protect those she loves. Even if that means more fighting. By this point, she's used to fighting.]
Are you okay?
[She knows first hand what torture can do to a person and doesn't at all blame Jefferson for his actions. You really met people when they are pushed to their limits and while it's a part of him, she won't shy away from it. Airy has grow up, she stands a little straighter, her chin is held a little higher, there are new scars and confidence in her demeanor but she's still Airy.]

It's really nice of you to say so. I need to still choose specifics for this job but I'm going to finally do it! I have a few options. I don't think I need help with anything. Ebi had been taking care of things at the apartment while I was away.
How are you holding up?
text;
But we have to keep going no matter what.
text;
[That sounds sort of lame so Airy continues.]
Ebi’s fine if you’re worried. I left him in charge of protecting my room which was oddly a job he really liked. I think it was because he got to use the fridge without me looking over his shoulder.

[ Action | Holly Heights #2]
After the first day, he'd decided to just pick up extra shifts at the library just to fill the time. He'd just gotten back from one such shift, throwing his smock over the back of the sofa, when there was a knock on the door, followed by the sound of a key in the lock.
Only one person had that key. He turned toward the door, a smile spreading across his face at the familiar nickname he hadn't heard in way too long. He thought to rush to her, to take her in his arms just because he was happy to see her again, but when he saw those eyes, that hair...
...everything he'd finally come to terms with sort of took over, and he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her inside their apartment, and pressing his lips to hers.]
[ Action | Holly Heights #2]
She distantly hears the door click close as his arms wrap around her and he leans over to kiss her. That’s when all coherent thoughts slipped away. She meets his force, greets it with a sort of eagerness that bubbles from deep within her chest. Her arms circle his neck pulling her against him.
She doesn’t measure the time but it feels too soon when they finally break their kiss to gasp for the chilling sweet taste of air. Airy can’t stop smiling. Bright emerald green eyes look up at him feeling a little giddy and a little breathless.]
Hi… [That’s one way to say hello and she isn’t entirely sure what it means. They’d fought, she’d left against his wishes and he’d be alone… A strange feeling of doubt twisted in her chest but she pushes it away. It doesn’t matter what it means, she’s happy to see him and really happy to kiss him.]
[ Action | Holly Heights #2]
Toby had even mentioned it, and he wasn't exactly a genius. He was a werewolf, though, and they seemed to have a better brain for stuff like this.
Once their kiss was over, he didn't pull away. He just pulled back enough to look into her eyes, smiling slightly.]
I've...wanted to do that for a long time. [And he paused for just a moment.] Hi.
[ Action | Holly Heights #2]
I've wanted you to do that for a long time, too.
[Her arms tighten around his waist.]
I missed you.
[Airy whispers the words feeling a small wistful sort of sadness pressing against her. She hasn't forgotten anything that's happened and now she has an idea of how he might have been feeling over the last couple of months.]

Video (in response to Text)
I applaud your efforts at employment. What criterion are you using for the fateful choice?
Video (in response to Text)
I’ve written up a resume and I’ve been told to add, can turn self into tree, to it by a possible employer. Are you looking for something? I can help you write up a resume if you haven’t done it before.
Not that I’m an expert but you more or less fill out a templet. Which I have.
Re: Video (in response to Text)
By all means, send me the template. Though I'm more interested in your driving factors. Some work out of duty, others pleasure. Sometimes what they're good at, sometimes what others need. A dozen reasons. Which are yours, and why?
...and what's this tree business?

He got there, same like he's been doing every day. Comes and checks. And she's gone and wandered off somewhere. he stands there with a blank expression. This is ...really funny, actually. He's not going to laugh about it but this is funny to him. ]
Shit.
[ he catches up to her while she's probably already halfway down the block, cape flowing behind him - glasses she gave him on his face. Airy airy airy! ]
Airy, you fucked up my whole welcoming party.
action; dream docks
Sorry. I can go back and we can redo it?
[She doesn't mind and she wants to see what Dave is going to do. However she can't stop grinning like an idiot because he really came and she just wants to hug him. It feels like a whole year for her, which just means she's another year older than him.]
action; dream docks
[ redos are for emergencies and highly embarrassing situations. he stops about a foot away from her, letting out some kind of relieved little sigh. he's glancing her over. time shenanigans, obviously. something is different. ]
So. [ how is she is she okay ] How long did you clock that in as on your end? Any time deprived of me must've sucked.

What kind of job will you get?
text;
[She left after the torture video's had been aired.]
Oh, I'm thinking something where I get to use my imagination.

....I'm blanking on suggestions for you.
