[ Guess who finally caught up on the network? Hikaru's taken a few notes down just in case as if she was compiling a basic report for a case. Really, she's taken what everyone has said about the recent grisly events. Honestly, she wanted to give the people affected some peace of mind however possible. It's sickening that it happened, especially to some well-known and well-liked people.

When the feed begins, Hikaru can be seen leaning back just a bit with her lips pursed together. She decides to speak once she collects her thoughts. ]

Hello, everyone. I just wanted to let those that were wondering where I disappeared to that I'm back from the Dream Docks. I've actually been back for a couple of days now, but I've been busy catching up on what I could and returning back to work, too.

Speaking of which, I'm aware of what happened recently and I'd like to offer whatever I can to help out, be it counseling, a meal -- whatever you need, I will be more than happy to offer any assistance. I have experience with the military and police back home, too, just in case if you need any assurance.

For those of you who are new here and may not know me, I'm Hikaru Takeda, Deputy Guardian of Everglade. It's a pleasure to meet you.

[ After Hikaru sends out her message to the network, she feels like she has quite a lot of lead to get out. Being asleep for four months here means that she's got a lot of training to make up for, even if nothing happened to her body. She'll make her way down to the gym in her usual workout clothes before she starts using the weights. Those who live here or are visiting can soon see that she's pretty much using every piece of available equipment so as to refamiliarize herself with everything. Anyone is free to join her! ]

[ Once she's taken care of her usual training regimen, Hikaru's going to be around Nova City as well as Everglade taking care of business for the most part as well as to see what needs to get done. She knows there's a lot of work to do, so she wants to prepare herself however possible. Feel free to interrupt her or catch her attention, though! ]

[ She's heard the results of the election, which is good for her. It allows her to still keep her Deputy Guardian position and she's definitely happy about that. The Protector walks into the office with a small celebratory cake for her friend, taking note of how he is before blinking a bit. ]

Fai-san...? Is everything all right? I could come back if you'd prefer.

[Fai was tilting back in his chair, mind elsewhere while the number of pokemon running around was ridiculous. he wasn't exactly controlling them all that well right now. When he heard a voice though he glanced over, only to realize who it was.]

Ah, Hikari-chan... Everything is fine.

[He sighs putting the pokemon back in there balls for the time being.]

[ Fai's response elicited a bit of a sigh and a small shake of her head. The Protector walked over to sit in the chair next to him, placing the cake down. ]

Is it really?

[ She has a feeling they aren't. ]

I'm fine.

[he knew he was going a little bit back into his old lying ways, but he knew still having to do this job he couldn't be sad, he had to focus and just get on with it.]

Or I'm sure I will be.

[ Hikaru's lips pursed together in worry, scarlet eyes reflecting the concern she had over her friend. ]

You know you can tell me anything, right?

I know, but things don't always need to be mentioned right now. When we're here it's for work.

[He wanted to focus on that more than his personal life right now, especially since the only two people he was close to were gone and he had no idea what to do.]

[There are a few bubbles floating behind the brunettes head but otherwise things in the video look normal. Bright green eyes stare curiously at the screen and Airy bites her lower lip as if unsure.]

Deputy Guardian? Doesn't Everglade freak you out? Like the start of a horror movie?

[ The bubbles are a new thing, but Hikaru won't comment on them. ]

Not really. I mean, there are worse things to be afraid of -- like aliens, for example. You just learn to not be afraid of monsters.

Yes but aliens can be monsters. I mean... the two aren't mutually exclusive and since this is a different world aren't everyone alien's?

It's mostly the Chain Saw Massacre vibe Or Silent Hill...

[She's creeping herself out.]

True, true. My apologies, I guess I'm still used to how things are back home.

And, I guess you just get used to that over time, too.

[ A pause and then: ]

Hey, what are those bubbles behind you for? They're pretty.

Oh!

[Airy's expression brightens and she brings the floating bubble in front of her. The colors inside swirl like a rainbow of paint flowing together but never mixing.]

I call them rainbow bubbles. Do you like them?

[ For a few seconds, Hikaru's mystified by the bubble's colors with her smiling that much more. It's definitely something different than what she's already seen. ]

I do. They're very pretty, miss. How do you make something like that?

[Airy lightly holds a bubble on her fingertips and as she watches it the colors swirl and mix. Her smile widens before releasing the bubble to float back around her.]

I can make things I imagine.

[There are a surprising amount of limitations she has.]

Bubbles are really easy to make so I try to make as many of them as I can to help me focus. [Airy has to have full understanding of anything to consciously make it appear.]

[ The display is even more impressive to Hikaru once she sees it firsthand. Her eyes light up in wonderment, again still entranced by this ability of hers. ]

Is there any limitations on your ability or no?

[ After all, she was curious about this since she wasn't all too used to others having abilities like these. ]

Ooh, I see. Is that all you can make or--?

[Airy rolls her shoulders in an awkward shrug. She had no idea why this conversation is suddenly about her, oh right, bubbles.]

There are limits but it's... confusing. I don't actually know how it works. I've made some pretty fantastic things happen on accident.

[Like teleporting her friend across a few states and making a whole town forget she exists.]

But whatever I do on purpose I have to understand or it doesn't turn out right.

[Crystal doesn't mean to interrupt. The sun is beginning his descent and she's heading towards work. Her dress is dark and hugs tightly to her curves while her heels click softly on the street. She spots something on the ground which looks surprisingly like a wallet.

Seeing only one other person nearby she approaches them.]

Excuse me. Is this yours?

[Her voice is silky and smooth but comforting like warm honey. Bright blue eyes look at Hikaru with a spark of humor that rarely fades from her expression. Her lips are posed into a teasing smirk.]

I found it on the ground over there.

Hm?

[ It's Crystal's voice that snaps Hikaru out of her work, but she recovers easily with a small shake of the head. She smiles a moment after, turning around on her heel. ]

Ah-- Yes, that would be my wallet.

[ She'd recognize the aluminum case anywhere, especially since it was so distinctive. Her scarlet eyes lock on to Crystal's blue eyes and her own geniality not dropping one bit. ]

Thank you so much for finding it. It must have fallen out of my pocket. May I have it back?

Of course.

[She holds the unassuming item out for Hikaru to take before glancing over at Hikaru's work. She doesn't have a lot of time but her curiosity tugs at the back of her thoughts. Her head cants to the side, spilling bright golden curls across the delicate curve of her cheek. Crystals features were perfect and every movement exemplified that fact.]

If you don't mind me asking: what are you working on?

[There is an easy smile spread over Crystal's lips and her demeanor is open. She won't be offended if Hikaru isn't interested in sharing but she sees no harm in asking the beautiful woman what she's doing.]

[ The Protector gratefully takes her wallet back in her hands after she pockets her videophone. Her lips purse together in thought for a few seconds, as if wondering what to do with this. That brief moment of contemplation ebbs away and she opens the latch, taking out a few red bills from it. ]

This is for returning my wallet to me. Thank you again.

[ A smile crosses her countenance, even with Crystal asking her next question. She doesn't see a need to hide what exactly she's been doing here. After all, it's just an innocent question. ]

I don't mind at all. I'm just taking my own notes as far as what's been happening lately and seeing what all should get done.

[Crystal holds up her palm, stopping the girl from paying her.]

I didn't return it to you for a reward. [She smiles.] If I had wanted something I would have simply taken it. Besides, meeting someone as lovely as you is it's own reward.

[She isn't a thief and dislikes stealing as a general rule. She understands the need for theft though her point still remains.]

What do you hope to finish?

[ The gesture takes Hikaru by surprise, but her genial smile never falters. ]

Oh, you flatter me. Thank you so much.

[ Even though she's blushing, she understands Crystal's reasons. With the money put away, she slips her wallet back into her pocket, making sure it's secure this time. ]

Well, there's a lot I have to catch up on. Some of it is boring police work. The other is just me catching up on four months worth of whatever changed here.

[Crystal keeps her usual smile in place.]

I flatter where it is due.

[Her head cants to the side, spilling bright blond curls over her cheek.]

You're with law enforcement? I wouldn't have guessed that.

Mii... this is rather difficult.

[ Rika's been taking up a little bit of training at the gym, but that's only because she's rather curious as to what all this equipment is. ]

Miss, are you familiar with this place?

[ The girl's voice snaps Hikaru out of her concentration. She was happily practicing her punches on the punching bag, and needless to say, she's winded. She grabs a towel, dabbing at the sweat on her face before nodding. ]

I am, little one. Are you lost?

[ She pauses to take a long sip of water, smiling as she cools down from her workout. ]

Not this time. [ Implying that she gets lost on occasion. But this is not one of those. ]

Oh, I see. Did you just recently move in? [ She definitely hasn't seen her around before, that's for sure. ]

Mii!

[ She nods, rather enthusiastically. ]

A few weeks ago.

[ Tony had seen Hikaru's public message, and it had gotten some wheels turning in regards to just what he should be doing with his life in Genessia. Her endless amount of generosity was what had begun their strange little friendship to begin with, but the way she had reached out to the people who likely needed help more than anyone else stirred a few dormant ideas.

Even knowing her kind nature he still felt she had provided him with more than he deserved. Taking him somewhere to eat was one thing, but her offer for him to stay with her had been something entirely different. It had been a definite test for his pride to even accept the offer, but she was good for him in a way that so many other people hadn't been -- even if he had yet to realize as much.

Catching her at the gym had been completely coincidental, but when Tony saw her he couldn't stop an amused smile. Training was always better with a partner. ]

You know how to box, deputy?

[ Needless to say, jumping right back into where she left off was more or less customary for Hikaru. It brought a sense of familiarity to the Protector and it allowed her to still feel useful. And yet, even with her workaholic nature, she had grown to appreciate Tony's company. Let's face it, she needed someone like him in her life to remind her to not take life so seriously and that it's okay to take a break.

She didn't mind helping him get his bearings here in Genessia, though. It reminded her of the countless number of times that she helped rehabilitate the Pacaem once she removed their corruption. Back home, she was called a paragon for doing this. Would the same ring true here?

When Tony caught her in the gym, Hikaru was busy at work with lifting weights, not even using her magic to assist he with it. After all, she found that it was better that way. Her head tuned when she was addressed and a chuckle was drawn forth with her sitting up, dabbing at her forehead with her towel. ]

I think I do. Why, do you want to go a few rounds with me, Mr. Stark?

That's was kind of what I was getting at.

[ He tossed a pair of gloves her way just to see if she was quick enough to catch them. ]

I mean, if you can handle it. I'm basically the toughest guy ever.

You sure sound devoted to your job! The name's Tori, and it's a pleasure to meet you too.

[A brief pause.]

...if there's anything I can do to help out too, let me know. Okay?

You should see how much teasing I get for being married to my job back home. The pleasure is all mine, Miss Tori.

[ A pause, and even though she was laughing before, her features soften and she nods. ]

All right. What all can you do, if you don't mind my asking?

There's nothing wrong with having passion for something! Then again, there's nothing wrong with a little teasing either~

[She laughs a little herself.]

Well, I don't think I can help with providing meals [terrible cook that she is] but maybe I can offer to make something nice for them. I'm a tailor here in Genessia, and I wouldn't mind doing a little something for free for anyone who's been effected by everything that's happened. Sometimes, just having something nice to wear can go a long way, you know?
