[ Some things should be unusual, right? But to a youkai like Yahiko, ending up in a different world isn't that big of a deal. Sure he can't go to the Underworld due to circumstance, but that's besides the point.

And anyway! Being in a new place gives him lots of opportunities to explore and he loves exploring, it's like a big game of hide and seek with all the good and interesting places that hides in a newly discovered location.

So there's a child (or what looks like a child) - or perhaps a fox - running around everywhere. Yahiko is climbing, leaping, and flying to any place that might be of interest. He opens lids and doors and picks up and rolling around things. Which means that if someone can't see him, it looks as if whatever he moves around is moving on its own.

Or maybe he accidentally(?) throws something at an unsuspecting passerby. ]

any shops or restaurants
[ You can't just look around outside though. Once shops starts to open their doors to costumers, he enters the shops one after the other to have a look inside.

Don't be scared if your merchandise starts to move around on its own. Or if this child-looking person is picking up everything ever to have a look at it. Or, if you're in a restaurant, a menu starts to float or is picked up by this little creature that might look like a fox, or might look like a child. ]

Hey! Let's play! Play hide and seek with me? I'm great both at hiding and seeking!

Oh and! Apparently we need jobs here but I don't actually need one but I thought maybe it could be fun! Then I can buy my own rakugan. [ He loves those sweets. ] It has to be fun, okay? And preferably something easy to do for this little old fox!

[Airy has her own brand of magic but it isn't the sort of thing that connects her with anything spiritual. She stares at the screen looking very confused.]

I can see you're very good at hiding. Where are you?

[She can't help but ask that.]

You're a fox?

[Airy is trying to make sense of this video but she's beginning to look more and more confused.]

[ He knows fully well why she is asking. She wouldn't ask if she could see him, after all. It's great that his voice still carries over the feed, though. ]

[This is one of those moments where Airy's curiosity is going to find a way to backfire. She tilts the screen a few times to see if it's just her phone.]

[ She's moving around all over in the little image, how funny. ]

It's not broken!

[ Or so he thinks. He doesn't know a thing about phones, to be honest. ]

[Airy has no reason to believe him, she just does. Even after everything that's happened she doesn't see a reason that someone would lie to her.]

Is it because you're a talking fox?

[Toby has been leaving his apartment sparingly, going out for the basic essentials and then to check on the few people he considers friends. He dislikes being away for very long. He's on his way to the store when he catches the scent of a fox, he chooses to ignore it however it becomes harder to ignore when he sees something flying towards his head out of the corner of his eye.

He pauses his step and watches the item sail past him. He turns and looks over at the boy digging through the trash. A bothered sigh falls from his lips before he steps over and picks the boy up from the back of the neck, much like he would of a pup.]

What are you doing?

[He sounds tired or like he isn't sure if he should care. There is a part of his mind reminding him he's trying to be a better person and he should care and currently that part of his brain is winning in his battle to just drop the fox and leave.

Yahiko will most likely be able to tell that Toby is a wolf.]

[ooc: I read about him on his journal. I'm assuming that Toby can see him since he isn't human but if you want me to change anything let me know <3]

[ Yahiko flails. This is just rude, who just picks someone up like this! It's one thing if it had been Haruitsuki or Zenko because they're his but this stranger is not either of those humans. And this isn't even a human.

He looks up, a scowl on his face turning toward the rude stranger. ]

I'm exploring, obviously! What are you doing?

[Toby doesn't trust this little wiggling thing, he smells weird, but he does drop him back down to the ground. It's a five foot drop so hopefully Yahiko can land on his feet.]

I was picking you up. Careful with what you throw.

[It isn't a threat but a warning, there are some places where a little fox would get eaten. Toby's eaten a few foxes though that hardly seems like an important piece of information.]

I also assure you that there isn't much worth finding in a trash can.

[ He's not a human after all, so to him it's is a very short drop, and he lands lightly on his toes before turning around to face the Rude Person. ]

You picked me up without permission. It's bad manners.

[ He really shouldn't be commenting on bad manners but Yahiko doesn't care about a detail like that. He brushes dust - both real and imaginary (mostly imaginary, his clothes are still perfectly clean) - from his clothes. ]

If I want to look in the trash can then I can look in the trash can. You can't tell me what I can and can't do, pup.

[There's more than one youkai that's been wandering the streets of Genessia. Nue's more or less gotten used to her new surroundings, although she was very curious about everything at first, too.

She's been looking for something to amuse herself with, and seeing some...child? throwing things about piques her interest for now. Hovering down more at his level, she easily dodges whatever that was he just tossed her way, although it didn't look like it was intended.]

Should you be throwing things around like that?~

[Every other word seems to be in a different voice. What's the point in being good at mimicking voices unless you flaunt it?]

((ooc: Shapeshifter, meet the undefined youkai! Unless the voices give him an idea of what he thinks she looks like, all he'll see is a swirling black orb.))

[ A voice that changed repeatedly? Not a big deal, really. Nor is the black orb he sees when he turns around, still holding a bike saddle. Why he's taken it off (and how) is of little concern. He looks up at the orb, head a little tilted. ]

Sure I should, because I want to.

[ That's the best reason to do anything, right? ]

[There are definitely stranger things to be seen. Nue laughs at his response, finding it perfect.]

Of course! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Or if they do, just ignore them.

[She emits an amused hum, settling closer to the ground.]

I haven't seen you around before.

That’s what I do. Or I kick them in the face or something if they’re persistent.

[ And when he do, he makes sure to take his huge fox form for extra stomping. ]

Yeah you haven’t. Because I wasn’t here until a few hours ago.

[Taking on her Aurora form for the day, the young woman was wondering around, walking toward one of the archways when she spotted the... whatever it was she wasn't sure from the corner of her eye.

it was at least enough to get her to turn around.]

[ If it’s a fox on fire that she thinks that she sees she’s right. That’s his current form, anyway.

He drops the fully functioning broken cup that he had picked up and it broke with a nice sound. ]

[She paused for a moment. Unsure of what to do. Foxes like that were never something she had seen before no matter how long she had been around for. Both here and back on her world.]

[ He tilts an ear, and turns the other towards her as he sits down. ]

Yes and no? I don't know where I am but I'm not worried, does that make me lost?

Ted's luck is debated, but he thinks in the affirmative, so he sees the mischievous youkai who looks like a child.

Wow, that was a great thing to hear! Yahiko claps his hands together cheerfully together.

“To be fair I don’t know where I am right now! So why don’t we start right here!"

[ But is it a huge lead, though? And this guy can shapeshift, he can hide as anything. ]

Sanzo was already grumpier than usual, stuck doing shopping without anyone to bully into doing it for him. It was bad enough that he was not only trapped on yet another world and his life turned so oddly domestic...and then a box pulled itself out of the basket in his hand. He felt equal parts sour and tired. Now wasn't the time for this.

"Stop," he snapped at the floating box of crackers. He really hoped that there was something actually there holding the box so he wasn't just glaring at snacks.

“Pah!” If the man can or can’t hear or see him doesn’t matter, but Yahiko doesn’t care about something like that. The box drops to the floor and there are canine teeth marks on it. He just wanted to have a look at this little box, and see if there was something interesting inside it. Human food is a mystery to him. “What’d I do?”

Oh good, he hadn't been scowling at nothing.

"You're taking up my time," Sanzo retorted. He bent down to pick up the box and scowled all the fiercer for finding bite marks and spit on it. "Why do you even bother to be invisible? You're not subtle, brat."

Yahiko huffed, and his front paws went up on the edge of the basket, rattling the contents and changing the weight. "I'm not trying to be subtle, if you can't see me that's your own fault, not mine."
