[There is a rather disgruntled looking Ukyo squinting at the screen. From the way it seems to be bouncing a little, it's pretty clear that she's on the move. After a moment of checking to see if it's on, she speaks up.]

It's finally happened. Stupidity finally became contagious and that jackass passed it on t' me!

[With a huff, she glances away to the road in front of her.]

That's the only explanation I got. I had t' have ended up catching his bad sense of direction or else I wouldn't be wanderin' around some strange place, right?

[Well. There was the fact that she could have been kidnapped, which was more likely. But that option isn't any less irritating than the one she thought up initially. Ukyo had been kidnapped before and it was incredibly annoying. The background shifts in back of Ukyo as she turns a corner and heads down one of the streets.]

So. Do any of you have any advice? I take it we're all in the same boat here. I think I could use a little right now.

[Akane and Ryoga, huh? Good. At least she has a project to work on here.]

Don't jynx it, Ranchan. Or we might end up with someone else.

[She grins a little.]

But all of th' people I like are here! That's good, at least.

[Ugh, there was a scary thought. Imagine if the Kunos showed up. Ranma actually turned a little green at the thought.

...not that he couldn't take them. But still. He shook his head to clear that thought from it.]

Yeah, good to see ya too Ucchan. You read that stuff they gave you yet? Apparently they gave us some money.

[Thoughtful kidnappers, weren't they?]

[spatulas]

[Yeah. The Kunos were enough to make anyone turn green. Don't even think about Kodachi's laugh.]

I glanced over it. I guess the money is to find a place to stay here?

[She hums a little and looks thoughtful for a moment.]

If we're here any length of time, I guess I'll have t' find a job...

[wildhorse]

Huh. Hadn't thought about that. [Not like Ranma was unused to the idea - it's how he and the old man had survived in China. Ranma did mostall the work, natch.] I'm hopin' it doesn't come to that, though. I wanna find the guy or guys who brought us here.

[The way his life went, he was a little surprised they hadn't already come at him.]

[Honestly, being kidnapped isn't even the most surprisingly thing about this whole ordeal. She's pretty surprised they haven't found Ranma by now, too.]

You should stay with me! Just until you find th' guy, of course. We can save money that way and you'll have all of the good food you can eat.

[Teehee.]

[And here we go already. Aaaaawkwaaaaard.] Eheh. Funny you should mention that. I kinda already had that idea and brought it up with Akane.

[Chirp. Chirp.

...Was that a tumbleweed blowing past in the background?]

Hey, great minds think alike, right? [And he was already starting to regret that decision.]

...You brought up the idea to Akane?

[Okay, Ucchan is staring now like Ranma has lost his mind.]

Oh, Ranchan...There's no way you're going to survive if you stay with Akane! We both know what happens when she steps one foot into a kitchen.

[And kiss your furniture goodbye.]

[wildhorse]

[Some days he really wonders if he has!] Well, if I cook it should be okay! ...probably. [He didn't sound too confident in that, though. The nervous laugh probably wasn't helping.

Maybe signing that two-year lease was a bad idea.]

[spatulas]

Since when have you cooked?

[You're talking to your best friend here, Ranma. She knows that his skills are very limited in that department.

She takes in a breath and sighs it out.]

Well, if there's an extra room, why don't I stay with the two of you? That way, I can cook for everyone.

[wildhorse]

Since the old man decided he couldn't even be bothered to boil water. [Training, he said. Laziness, Ranma replied. Somehow Ranma always seemed to lose that argument, though.]

And, uh...all we got's a two-bedroom. [No way he's even thinking about sharing a room with Akane. He's seen how she sleeps.]

[spatulas]

[You're making things very, VERY difficult here, Ranma.]

I could share a room with you! We are engaged and all.

[Yeah. That'll go over well with Akane.]

[wildhorse]

Are you kiddin'? No way!

[...that came out wrong. He let out a sigh, took a deep breath, then started over.]

You forgotten Akane?

[spatulas]

[Why is Akane the source of all of her problems? Ukyo sighs sharply and shakes her head.]

I getcha. But I'm still going to make sure you don't get poisoned. Where are you guys staying?

[wildhorse]

[Oh no, he knew where this was going. And yet he was powerless to stop it; it wasn't the kind of thing he could lie about, after all.]

It's Stone Ridge. Should I get a housewarming gift ready?

[He didn't sound totally disgruntled, at least. If nothing else it was good to have his friend around, even though he knew that nothing good could come of what she was up to.]

[spatulas]

Wouldn't be a bad idea, Ranchan!

[Hey. He should just be glad it's just Ukyo. At least she wouldn't try to drug anyone.]

It's better to stick together until we're able to get out of this place, anyway.

[wildhorse]

Best I can do at this time of night is convenience store sushi.

[Also, he could actually joke around with Ukyo without that dancing-through-Jusenkyo sensation.]

[spatulas]

Convenience store sushi? You're hopeless.

[Despite what she says, she's grinning.]

Cup ramen?

[Hey, we're working on a budget here.]

[spatulas]

I think that's even worse than the sushi, Ranchan!

[She can't help but grin, though.]
