[Action - OTA] A Personal Day of Mourning
[In front of the Schnee Company Nova Branch]
[Anastasia can be found walking around Nova City, dressed in a black Victorian-era gothic dress, topped with a hood and cape. For a girl of about 13 years of age dressed in such an old-style of dress in a technological marvel like Nova City was sure to turn a few heads. But what she was doing looking like she was on her way to a funeral was anyone's guess.
First, she stopped to look at the Schnee building where she took refuge when the barriers over Genessia and Everglade failed a year ago. This is where it essentially began for her. Those who pass her could see she is deeply upset about something.]
[Streets of Nova City]
[The young 13 year old girl in a black Victorian dress was walking slowly, sometimes staggering and stopping to rest. Those who encounter her walking by might be able to catch the weakness in her steps and perhaps even tears in her eyes. She was going in one direction heading towards a particular destination, towards the Planetarium.]
[Nova City Planetarium]
[Anastasia arrived at her destination, the planetarium where she and Sakura first got to know each other. Choosing not to acknowledge any other patrons at first, she slowly made her way to the night sky room where she picked a seat to settle in. She can't remember the exact seat from a year ago, so she merely picked the closest one she remembers. Or, at least convinced herself of that.
Putting her hood down, she glanced up towards the same glinting points of light she watched with Sakura a year ago. It was that moment when they became friends. A Princess of a desert kingdom and a princess of a snowy kingdom becoming friends. There was something poetic about it. Quietly, she would ask the memory of her departed friend a question.]
"...are you looking at the night sky too, Sakura?"

"...are you looking at the night sky too, Sakura?"

Oh, hello. Haven't we spoken before?
[Anastasia might notice that Karla looks remarkably well, considering recent events...]
no subject
"...I think so... When I announced my birthday party..."
[She seems distracted as well, not really noticing any injuries Karla may have.]
no subject
...What's wrong? Why do you look so sad?
no subject
"...My best friend is gone from this world."
[Short, bitter-sweet and to the point. Anastasia has no interest on explaining how sad it is.]
no subject
I see...I'm sorry to hear that. I've never really had a..."best friend".
[She looks up, deep in thought, imagining what it would be like to have a best friend...or lose one. Perhaps it's better if she doesn't.]
no subject
The heat was wearing her out. Slowly getting back to her feet, she moves to the closest shade she can find, right across from Karla.]
no subject
What's the matter? Are you unwell?
no subject
"...I'm not like other people... I'm from a race of people...that evolved for a tundra climate... I don't handle the summer well, especially direct sunlight..."
no subject
[There's a beat before she adds,] Do you live near here?
no subject
[Anastasia tried to look adamant here, but she probably looked more cute and tired than stubborn and serious.]
"...I want to keep going. To honor my best friend."
no subject
Well...as long as you don't endanger yourself. I'm sure your friend wouldn't want that...
no subject
[She pointed in the direction of the Planetarium.]
"...Besides, we are all in danger. With that red-headed mass murderer free..."
no subject
[She looks away at the mention of Battler, staring off into space. Her voice takes a somewhat darker tone.]
Oh, him. We'll get him. That's a promise.
no subject
"...I suppose. It's not like I can stop you."
[When she heard that promise, she begins to look more determined.]
"...And I want to be apart of the group that takes him out. If not the one to do it."
[First her magic is unstable, then she lost her best friend, the summer is her enemy and there's a mass murderer on the loose. One thing at a time, Princess.]
no subject
...Are you sure? What can you do?
no subject
[She won't include the bit about being a vessel for her world's Goddesses.]
