Action;
[This one, walking along the sidewalk on 12th and Juniper, was a young black lion, with the familiar amulet hanging from his teeth and a black and red armored jumpsuit covering his torso. What he remembers before waking up? Raiding a meta research lab owned by the Crey corporation, which was supposed to be a clean operation, at least for the people he was operating with. He remembered leaping and biting into a power armored goon, then catching up with the rest of the team, before a light flashed over them-- Then sleep.
A loong long sleep. Not to say he didn't enjoy a long nap, but he didn't really feel well rested. He had an empty stomach, too woozy to eat anything just yet, and that veiled feeling that nagged him to go home and sleep.
Coupled with that, however, was the fact that he had no idea where he was. That needed to change. He was nervous, and not at all comfortable with the change of scenery. The only thing he looked at in the box was the money and the gem, which he held in his jaws. The information did very little for him, and he decided instead to seek help, but even that what daunting.
He was, perhaps, a bit of a fraidy cat when it came to this sort of thing. He had experienced enough in his short life to expect a monster around every corner, and to know not to trust easily.
So he walks with his ears turned back, checking every alleyway and listening carefully as he weaves between the civilians.]

The necklace marks him as a per- ...civilian of the actual kind, rather than just a not-person (or not-lion as the case is), and the box still being carried around coupled with the wariness... he's almost certain you're new around here, anyway. He's sat watching you walk up the street he's walking the opposite way down, and just as you pass, he makes up his mind. He stops and asks]
...You need some help?
[Eh, it's not like he's got anything better to do today anyway.]

From there, he turns, bumping into someone else, then disappearing behind the corner of the building, peaking out to look at the guy who addressed him.

Uhh... Okay.
[Really not sure how to take this. Mind you, someone eventually was going to have this kind of reaction. They've had every other kind that he can think of. He pulls his necklace out, letting the pendant dangle from a fist.]
Same boat as you, dude.

"I don't know what's going on..." Not really, the pamphlet parts he read only helped by so much.

I've been here a while, and I'm still not sure. Town's called Genessia, it's run by a massive computer, we don't know how we got here, or how to get back. Unfortunately.
[Okay, so that sounded a bit softer in his head. well, too late now?]

He wrinkles his nose at that. No, this isn't good. No way to get home, no obvious way anyway. He just lowers his head then.
"What are we supposed to do then?"
no subject
...He misses the dragon. What the hell has this place done to him?
But anyway, he focuses himself back on the subject at hand.] There's plenty of shit to do once you get settled in. This place... well, it can keep you on your toes. Paws. [Whatever.]

"You say that. But I've never been on my own before. And I'm not sure why nobody is freaking out..." He's a lion. People freak out.
no subject
As for the rest of us... well, yeah. some of us have been here for a while and are used to this kind of thing. Or, you know, similar. some people have things like this back home. The rest [He shrugs] I have no clue.

"If I held up a butchers shop for a truck full of meat, they'd let me get away with it?" Is that the message he was getting? Because that was the interpretation.
"What about living places? I read something about that but I don't know how to do any of that renting stuff."
no subject
[Hmm.] I think they've probably got shit that helps you on how to do it. I can't really help you on that one beyond 'you give them money as often as they agree with you that you have to', I have my own place. [....It's gotta be basically the same as motels, right? Just.... less often? and minus a cleaner. That's how he understood it, anyway.]
no subject
"Yeah but..." His ears fold back. "Doesn't mean I wanna live alone either." And that doesn't mean he wants to jump aboard the first train he finds, he just doesn't really have the ability to live alone, unless it was outside. No thumbs kinda sucked.

Captain hammer probably would.Maybe you can find a petting zoo or something? [He shrugs a little bit. So he hasn't go the memo you're more than your lion-y packaging. You might... want to let him know soon, or this is the kind of suggestion you'll get. Because talking lion.] You'd even probably get three square a day.

He lowers his head, ears pinned back.
"And sorry, it's just... Who wants to live with a buncha goats anyway?"
no subject
[But he drops it, and waves it off.] It's fine. But hey, now I know? Not a mistake I can make again.
