Thanks to Amberdrake, Sanzo is a "reluctant" secondary caretaker of a flock of ten, rainbow colored birds. They're the size of finches and ramble in disjointed sentences. They know how to listen to others if commands are directed at them, but would one know that right off the bat? They love to imitate the speech of others and annoy interesting strangers. Sanzo might have as few as two and as many as ten while he's walking about, being bored.

One of the birds might just take an interest in some stanger and try to play with their hair...

"That's my ear, let go..!"

That voice might be familiar.

Yahiko was only looking for a place to sit down to eat the sweets that he bought, and now he has to let go of the colorful paper bag he's carrying with a hand and bat at the very rude bird that's interested in his fox ears with a hand. It's not aggressive or anything, just the kind of swat you direct toward an annoying fly that insists on being in your face, or something like that.

It was familiar and Sanzo was not looking forward to dealing with this! Great.

"Leave it alone, he'll give you mites." The bird landed nearby Yahiko and tilted its head this way and that, curious. It's owner was giving Yahiko a much meaner look.

"Why did I have to run into you twice?"

Wow! That was so rude! There is a grrrr from Yahiko.

"I don't have mites, human child!"

He sticks out his tongue at the man, though it may as well be useless to do so.

"And I'd like to know that too. But I'd guess that it's because apparently we both have no luck."

Equally useless was the kick Sanzo aimed in the vague direction of Yahiko. He missed and told himself he had totally meant to miss. It was just a threat. Yes.

"I don't recall letting you call me a child," he snapped, the picture of maturity with his petulant expression and tone. "I'm not the one that looks like one."

To Sanzo he looked mostly like a blur but that wasn't the point!

Very impressive kick. Except not at all.

"Since when does someone need permission to call a child what they are?" At the very least, all his life it's been totally normal to call children children. "I may look like this, but I choose to, and appearance has nothing to do with actual age."

"I'll rephrase that, stop calling me a child or I'll put a hole in your head." It was an ideal threat, for now. The bird was not helping Sanzo's case, hopping around Yahiko, still curious and friendly.

To appease the bird and only need to focus on Sanzo, Yahiko pats the bird on the head. "But you are a child."
