[The camera's eye can see and is broadcasting an old-style European interior and a young woman. Behind her was an oven, a few racks, and various baking supplies.]

"Okay... Hello, everyone out there. My name is Alicia Melchiott, and I was brought to Genessia about a couple of weeks back. And now, I want to announce the grand opening of my business. Homely Breads, located on Hawthorne Street, where all the bread I bake is freshest guaranteed. To promote my bakery, I'll be providing free bite-sized samples over the next few days.

I hope to see you here."

[The smell of freshly baked bread fills the air inside of the bakery. The fresh, homely smell riding the breeze outside of the shop as well. Those entering the bakery can find Alicia bringing out another batch of bread, along with samples she plans to give out, to put on racks to cool.

After putting in more dough to be baked into delicious bread, Alicia takes a spot behind the counter, waiting on her bread and ready to greet any patrons.]

[Because look at this guy in the video. His face is mostly mouth. She could probably fit a whole loaf in there. He grins.]

[Alicia's brain momentarily stopped working. There are people like this here? But, no judging! Darcsens aren't all bad despite all the boogey-man tales, so surely enough.]

"Um... Well, maybe? You can have a couple, if you want?"

[Baking takes time, and she doesn't have a lot made yet.]

Sheheheh! Sounds like a fair compromise. Ain't too big on baked shit though so yer off the hook.

Ah, it's nice to see a bakery around here. [She smiled slightly.]

Is it okay if I come around? I want to check something out before I ask something.

[That last sentence made Alicia kind of nervous, but she found it to be a very easy thing to put out of her mind. Surely it's nothing. She smiled back.]

"Yes, it's okay. I'll be finished with another batch of samples and full-sized here in a moment."

I'll be there in around ten minutes or so.

[She just needed to finish some,thing off at the inn beforehand. When the ten minutes finally did come around, she was standing there with a smile.]

[Alicia was checking on her batch currently baking in the oven. Not quite ready. When she heard someone enter the bakery, she turned to greet them with a smile.]

"Hello, welcome to Homely Breads!"

[Ah, the girl on the phone. One by one, Alicia builds a tray of sample breads of different kinds, moving them to the counter and settling it down next to a napkin holder for the customers.]

"Here, come help yourself to a free sample."

[She smiled slightly, it was a pleasant greeting to say the least, so at least that was one positive so far. Making her way over to picks up one sample and takes a bite, letting the bit linger in her mouth as she chewed.]

This is quite delicious. You do great work.

"Thank you! It's been my dream to open a bakery."

[But then her country was invaded and her dreams were put on hold. And it just happens to be right around that time. Alicia moved to check on the bread she has in the oven, but left it. It wasn't time yet.

She returned to the counter. She didn't want to push for a sale yet.]

"So, have you lived here long?"

Coming up two years.

[She paused slightly. She could recall when she arrived as a matter of fact. November. It seemed like that day had really been so long ago.]

It's a long time to stay here, but we can never be sure when we might disappear someday.

[That last bit made her stop in her tracks, figuratively speaking.]

"Disappear? We can disappear?"

[She nodded slightly.]

Yes, but it's not something we can ever see coming.

[She thought everything was going to be just fine with no apparent anything to worry about. But then this comes out of the blue. While Alicia does feel lied to, somehow, she means no ill will towards the other woman.]

"But what does that mean though? First I was told we were taken from our homes, our lives and now I'm told we can all just suddenly disappear with no warning?"

I'm sorry. Did no one tell you this when you first arrived?

[he had assumed someone would have said something.]

It's... what makes this place confusing. We can arrive, but if and when we do go back might be a couple months to a couple years. For example I'm coming up to being here for two years myself. How it happens is also a big ball of confusion in that we don't actually know. But people have suddenly vanished one day without warning.
