The hell is this?
WHO: Chrom, OPEN
WHAT: Chrom arrives in Genessia! But there's no trumpet fanfare or anything cool like that, just a confused lord who has no idea how holograms even work.
WHEN: July 11th, 2016
WHERE: Genessia - The Bay
There was a confused lord trying very hard to interact with a hologram. He'd just been shaking the water from his boots when she'd suddenly appeared before him and began speaking. Many of his questions were answered, and he'd learned quickly not to interrupt when she talked right over him.
So he waited patiently for her explanation, confusion and alarm still warring on his young face. He still didn't know why he'd been taken from his world and dumped into this one, but he wagered she didn't know either. He wondered if anyone knew. He was a warrior, not a magician, and he hadn't the faintest idea how interstellar abductions could be accomplished, let alone reversed. He still needed to figure out how to use the 'video box' he'd been given, but that didn't seem to be a pressing need.
When she thanked him, he held up his hand. "No, I must thank you for explaining. It's a great deal to absorb."
There was no answer from the hologram.
"Is there a list of names available of those who were brought to this world?" he asked. "Am I the only one who hails from Ylisse?"
Still no answer.
"Ah..." Had he angered her? Tentatively he stepped to the side, but her eyes didn't follow. There was definitely something off about this...'Weiss'...but he couldn't say what it was, and he was loathe to touch her without permission.
And that's how Chrom could be found, unsuccessfully engaging with a hologram that had completed her message. Her image suddenly vanished, and Chrom jumped back in surprise before lunging forward. Had she been re-abducted? What was going on? He spun in place, pushing a hand through his navy hair as his brow dropped. He was completely perplexed and out of his element. This was a very strange land he found himself in, with buildings and structures he'd never before seen. He took one tentative step away from the Bay, then another, searching the streets for signs of anything familiar. So far? Only the grass and the sky were things he could see and name without hesitation. Everything else was entirely foreign.

When she made her way down the rocks, she spotted a familiar sight. Blue hair, perplexed expression, and a cape that spun as he moved. It was.... him, it was definitely him. By the Gods, more of her companions really were coming here.
"Chrom!" She called out to him, suddenly forgetting what she had done back home. She had sacrificed herself, had gone against Chrom's wishes, and she hoped that he could forgive her for what she had done.
She ran down to him, stopping just before him. It would be rude to embrace him, even if they were best friends, because he was still a prince after all. Instead she just panted, and a grin spread across her features.
"...I take it you're a little confused, yes? I can definitely explain."
no subject
He couldn't help but laugh at her words, and he visibly relaxed. "Your observations are astute, as always." He must have looked completely ridiculous, dancing around a disappearing woman like a madman.
"Take time to catch your breath, I am in no great rush from the sound of things."
no subject
"Right. Well- I think we should walk further into town, I can explain on the way. What I can tell you is that Weiss Schnee isn't wrong, we ARE in an entirely different place. So far it is only myself and Maribelle that has arrived here. Besides you, of course."
no subject
"I would like that," he nodded, moving to walk beside Robin. "Perhaps you would do me the favor of explaining some of these objects as well, if you've managed to learn about them." Like the mailbox, the telephone poles, the fire hydrants... Pretty much anything that wasn't a plant or a cloud.
no subject
"Yes, I think she is already well on her way to opening up shops and getting support. Maribelle is the same as ever.... even though we are trapped here...."
Anyways, now they walked on together, "hehe.... of course I will, how could I ever leave you in the dark about something, hm?" She was very glad Chrom was here, he truly was her best friend.

Levy might have watched for a second longer than would be considered social acceptable. Her expression was kind though she found it hard to smile as of late. She nodded her head towards the holographic machine.
“If you approach it again it’ll play again. Weiss set it up to help explain things here.”
She hoped that her explanation might have helped ease some of his worry though it’s hard not to worry when you’re suddenly dropped in a new place.
More people with blue hair!
Then he stepped forward again.
Sure enough, Weiss sprang to life before his very eyes once more, neatly repeating every last word she'd said before. It was a wondrous thing, unlike any spell Chrom had ever seen before. "How is this possible...?"
Best color hair!
"It's some technology from this place. I had to learn about it myself but they are able to display recordings in a 3D model." She looked up at him and rolled her shoulders in a shrug. "That's how it was explained to me anyway."
After a second she turned towards him and held out her hand. "I'm sorry. I'm Levy. Levy McGarden."
And how!
Rising to his feet, he took her hand in his gloved fingers and shook it gently. "Chrom," he returned her greeting with a friendly smile. He didn't have a last name. Apparently those didn't exist in the world of Fire Emblems.
"I thank you for your patience. It appears I have much to learn about this world." It was overwhelming, but he'd find a way to muddle through it one way or another.

Uh... She's not going to answer you. This is pre-recorded for any new arrivals. I can try to answer your questions though.
On regards to the location you said, I'm unfamiliar with it, but it's possible people from your world are here as well.
no subject
Right. Understood.
[Mostly.]
You have my thanks. This city, ah... How far does it extend?
[He turns, trying to peer down the streets to see what lies beyond, but it's outside of his range of vision.]
Are there lands beyond?

[He gives his box a light shake. Hopefully he doesn't need to be wearing the jewelry prominently. It's not really Chrom's style, and he wouldn't want to seem as if he were putting on airs by wearing expensive ornaments.]
I should take a look around and get better acquainted with this world and its people. The differences are dizzying.
no subject
There is a lot to learn about this place, but there are a lot of people and resources here that will help make your transition easier. There are none that I know of, but that's a really good idea. I might have to start one.
no subject
Ah...greetings.
[He smiles sheepishly, glad she doesn't see fit to poke fun at him for his technological ignorance.]
I don't know if I should allow my transition to be easy. I wouldn't wish to grow docile and comfortable when I am needed elsewhere.
[Nonetheless, his manner is easygoing.]
Are you an Ylissean?
no subject
[And if you're like her where she's dead back home, she has no desire to go back home.]
Ylissean..? [Must be where he's from, so she'll shake her head.] I'm sorry, I'm unfamiliar with that term. I come from a world called Remnant. I used to live in a place called Beacon.
If you would like to keep your skills from going rusty though, I wouldn't mind sparring every now and then if you'd like. I'm trying to keep on top of my training myself. You never know when you'll need your skills here.

[It means he must divide his time between adjusting to this world, while searching for answers that will lead him home again. He's loathe to abandon his people, and his little sister.]
[But he's truly fascinated at the thought that other worlds exist beyond his own. Surely there are other nations, he's aware of this. But worlds, populated by other people and civilizations! That's remarkable.]
Beacon was your halidom, then? I would not be opposed to a spar myself.
[He smiles sheepishly.]
Far be it from me to wish for a place where war and combat are necessary skills, but I'm pleased to know that my swordsmanship might be of service to this world's people. Thank you.

A bit of rare impulsive mischievousness came over her since he was facing away from her. She slowly crept up behind him, threw her arms around his shoulders, and covered his eyes with her hands. "Guess who darling~!"
There was little chance that he wouldn't recognize her voice or her manner of speaking, but his surprised expression should be priceless! Chrom could probably blame his little sister for this part of Maribelle.
no subject
"M-Maribelle?!" It was hard to tell if he was actually guessing, or just saying her name because he was completely startled at her playful behavior.
She certainly had been spending too much time with Lissa, but he couldn't bring himself to consider that a fault for either of them.
He held her wrists and gently took her hands away, turning his head to smile awkwardly at her over his shoulder. "You surprised me. When did you arrive in this place?"
no subject
"It's good to see you milord. I've been here a few short days myself, though I'm still getting some of my bearings. Have you met with Robin yet?"
no subject
Best to stick with swords, he supposed, since that was his one area of true expertise.
"I am glad to see you well. Is there anything with which I might assist you?" He doubted it, honestly. Maribelle might have looked like a prim and pampered noblewoman, but he'd always been impressed with her practicality and independence. Nonetheless, if she needed the aid of a fellow Shepherd, he was at her service.

Others might not be as use to it.
"Hello there. Do... you need some help?" She asked as she shifted the bags she had slightly, making sure that they weren't going to drop any time soon.
no subject
He shifted the box he held to rest under his arm as he turned toward her, holding out an arm to take up a couple of her bags.
"Allow me. Where are you taking these?" he asked, glancing down the streets. "I'm not opposed to an explanation while we walk, I wouldn't wish to hold you up for my sake."
no subject
Shifting the bags, she had moved the bags so he could take at least one. "But thank you, for helping."
no subject
He waited for her to lead the way before falling into step beside her.
"I've read the brochures, so I think I know the absolute basics," he told her as they walked. "But I'm not certain how current the information is, or what the status of these cities is as of today. I'm Chrom, by the way."
