XIV ✖ KILL【ACTION】

[It's been a few weeks since the murder and torture and Mikasa has been pretty quiet. Coming back to life a few days, only to find that pretty much everyone had left besides Armin and Sertoria, was a bit rough. So she was doing what Mikasa does best; She works constantly...

Okay, maybe not, considering David has been pretty adamant about her resting for a bit after the whole ordeal. So in order to keep herself busy, she's been doing a few repairs around the mansion, but it feels so big now that everyone is gone. She eventually returned to work sporting a new scar near her right eye. She seems a bit more reserved than usual...

Just what did she forget when she came back to life? She has no idea. At least she doesn't seem to be as sad as she was before. Not heartbroken anymore... What did that mean? Oh well.

She genuinely seems to be pretty emotionless... For anyone who knows her well enough, it's as if she gone back to the way she was when she had just arrived. It's definitely something to wonder about.

OOC: Feel free to catch her either patrolling Genessia or either outside/inside the mansion doing repairs and cleaning. Man, it was a lot easier to do this when Levi was still here. Feel free to make your own thread for more fun though.]

[Armin has no room to criticize, as he's also thrown himself into work like never before - although in fairness, he's had to, with so many employees suddenly gone, so many hurt and traumatized. He's quiet, exhausted, and lonely - but even so, he's worried about Mikasa. What she's just gone through, combined with everyone they've both just lost - it would be hard for anyone, no matter how strong they are. And Armin suspects she's just bottling it up inside, not talking about it with anyone.

He won't force her to talk about it. But he needs her to know that he's there, that she can talk about it if she needs to, that it wouldn't be a burden - for all that it's something she should know already, sometimes you need to actually hear it said. And more than that, he wants her to know that he understands - after all, he's had the same thing happen to him.

This is what's on his mind when he returns to the mansion a little past midnight one night - and sees that Mikasa is still up, still working and making repairs. For some reason, it's this, more than anything else, that makes him feel what this place has done to them. His throat feels tight, and he blinks back tears from his eyes.

He doesn't say anything as he comes up behind her, though she'll hear and recognize his footsteps anyway. Instead, he simply steps up to where she's drilling and wraps his arms around her, embraces her tightly.
