[The video comes on to show an Asian girl of obvious mixed heritage, what with green eyes and blonde hair, who immediately sighs. She then perks up and gives a bright smile with eyes crinkling and head tilting to the side.]

Hello, I'm Maka Albarn. I guess if I was going to end up sucked into another world again at least it isn't inside of a book taking you through the Seven Deadly Sins, right?

[She laughs a bit offhandedly, eyes glancing off for a moment before returning to the camera.]

Well, I'm not sure where exactly to go form here. I mean, I have the map and everything, but... some advice would be greatly appreciated right now as I get my bearings straight.

[Another sigh left Maka as she closed out of the video chat option. She then looked at the information she held in her hand, then out at the city sprawling out before her. It was a bit overwhelming being here on her own. It made her a bit unsure of what to do, though she knew she would be fine. She'd deal with this.

Then her eyes rose up to the sky where the sun was. Her eyes widened, then narrowed as she scowled. Well, that didn't look right at all.]

What a boring Sun...

He wasn't going to comment but the words struck him odd and he squinted at the sun himself only to see everything as normal]

Um...sorry for eavesdropping but... what kind of sun were you expecting?

[At the sound of a voice Maka glanced over and gave a friendly smile to the stranger that had spoken up. She was intrigued by the horse, having never ridden one herself. It looked so cute!]

Oh, you know... One with personality.

[It really is the best way she could think to describe her Sun versus this one.]

Personality? [he doesn't get it] Is it a different color or something?

[the mare starts to nibble at his shoulder and he pets her nose]

No. It's the same color, round about. I mean... Well, my Sun is a... sentient being. Doesn't talk, but has expressions, likes to nap in the sky and snore a lot. Laughs a lot.

[Maka frowned, unsure if she was explaining that right. It was hard to explain it to someone who had no idea what she meant.]

[just...stares at her. That is probably the freakiest thing he's ever heard]

I.... [he....]

[he shakes his head]

What about your moon?

[does he even want to know?]

[Airy can't help but overhear, her head turns towards the girl, her bright green eyes shining curiously.]

Boring?

What's boring about it?

[She's holding a grocery bag in her arms and wearing a short skirt and a tank top. It's far too hot in Genessia right now. City heat, is what Airy calls it.]

[At the sound of a voice Maka turned to look at the woman who spoke to her and gave her a friendly smile.]

Well, it doesn't have personality. Its just sitting there like it's asleep.

[There was then a little shrug of her shoulders.]

Not that it's bad, just not what I'm use to.

[Airy can't fight the smile that crawls over her lips.]

You're sun has a personality? That sounds so cool. Maybe this one does but we can't see it?

[It'd be interesting anyway.]

Oh, I'm sorry.

[She holds out her hand towards Maka.]

I'm Airy. Didn't mean to eaves drop.

Well, yeah. [Says with amusement in her voice.]

The moon too. I'm guessing your moon is also... Like this? Well, to be fair, you can't really see the moon right now in my world. But still. They're both alive and while they don't talk, they do have personalities. The Sun likes to laugh a lot.

[She glanced back up at the sun and shielded her eyes and then shook her head.]

No, I don't think this one does. Just seems... Still.

[She resisted saying 'boring' again. Turning she then took the lady's hand and gave it a firm shake.]

[Levy tries her best to smile when she flicks on the video but it hasn't been as bright as it was before. Not that the stranger she's talking too will notice.]

[Maka smiles more brightly as someone appears to answer.]

Hello, Levy. It's nice to meet you, kinda. And please, I would love some suggestions on a place to stay. And any other kind of help you can point me toward. Like jobs or the like. Know anywhere a fourteen-year-old can make some money? About the only job experience I have is in catching criminals.

Well Almagi Inn is set up for those who are new. Yukiko runs it and she's very nice.

[She then tilts her head to think.]

Well, I like reading, but I also enjoy fighting and working with my partner to catch criminals. I mean, really, being a Weapon Meister working for Lord Death was all I've ever wanted since I was a little girl.

It wasn't all that fun, really. Then there is the world of witches at home too.

Well, I guess not, in a way, but really it is in how different it is here for my world. The sun and moon are different. Very different. And I don't think any of my friends are here either.

[The face on the other end of the video is smiling, friendly, and at least appears to be helpful. His voice is gentle, and lacks any sort of teasing tone.]

The welcome center's a good choice. They'll help you find a place to stay, and even a job if you're interested. [He nods once.] I'm Nathan, by the way.

Oh yeah, definitely can't. Already been there. I guess I'm just more having trouble knowing where to start really. And processing it all. It's just a whole lot of information. But I got a suggestion for somewhere to stay for now, so I should be alright once I get some quiet space to really take it all in. You know?

Well now that you've found yourself hete dear, have you thought about the prospects of employment? If not, I'd like to offer you a job as a waitress at my tea shop.

[Maka blinks at the mumbling woman and tilts her head to the side.]

Some, yeah... Are you sure that's alright to offer me? I have no experience at waitressing, and, well, you don't even know me.

Waitressing is very simple darling. All it requires is the ability to read and write, hard work, and a somewhat decent memory. Nearly anyone with the slightest bit of education can become a waitress but you also have some of the other qualities I'm looking for in my waitressing staff.

[Maribelle had a rather specific vision in mind for her tea shop, and Maka would fit in perfectly.]

While you may think I know nothing about you, I am incredibly perceptive, and an excellent judge of character. We'll of course have to see if you manage to make the bare minimum qualifications, but I suspect with a little training you should be rather adept in no time at all.
