Right as he emerged from the star-shaped storm, Touma found himself nearly colliding headfirst into a smoldering, purple orb. Dodging was still possible, but doing so would require him to practically throw himself off to the side and consequently kill his momentum. The last thing he needed was to give Mewtwo more time to distance himself. Instead, Touma raised his right hand up to counter the strange projectile. The ghostly orb immediately vanished upon touching his right hand and the teenager continued forward unimpeded. He was now only a couple feet away from striking distance.
