12: Restlessness (Open Video, Open Action at Garden Park)

A. Video

[ When the video clicks on it shows Adela in the shade of a tree, sitting on the ground with her wheelchair parked nearby. She seems agitated for some reason, though said reason does become clear soon enough. ]

May I ask of you what you all do to keep active, and if it can be done from a chair or not?

B. Action, Garden Park, Genessia City

[ She puts the communicator away with a sigh, waiting for responses but also just watching people around her. Honestly, it's frustrating. Not that there isn't plenty to do with her work and with the friends she has, but there's still too much she can no longer do that she just wants to.

She's leaning against the tree she's chosen as her rest spot then, looking up at the leaves rustling in the slight breeze and waiting for responses. Of course, someone approaching will get her attention and she'll look to them if they do, but for the most part she kind of wants to be left alone. ]

[ She seems surprised at seeing him, sitting up a little more where she is and taking a moment to respond. ]

I had not expected to see a demonstration in person, admittedly. And I suppose Garden Park is a bit far from Sycamore Cycles, but I still like to come here often.

[He tosses her his communicator, turned to the light blue color setting.]

Music app's got a list called bboy. Pull it up an' give some a them songs a listen while I get this shit laid down.

[And he goes about laying out the box, cutting one of the edges so it'll lay flat and taping it to the ground on a larger patch of sidewalk.]

[ She'll nod, but... Bboy? Just what is that supposed to mean?

Well, she'll pull it up as he said and try to give some of the music a listen, because it can't be terrible right? And apparently Namur is going to dance to it, somehow. ]

[Once he's done laying the cardboard so he won't get road rash or tear his clothes, he stands at the edge for a moment, nodding his head to the beat of whatever song she happens to turn on, then jumps in. Yes, he does have two working legs, but he keeps his ankles crossed as he performs a quick set, showing off various things she can learn to do.]

Like that. Hell, can even dance with crutches or yer chair if y' wanna. Jus' work 'em in as y' go. Crazy, huh?

[ That is quite literally like nothing she's ever seen before. The movements have a grace to them that she hasn't thought was possible for most people, let alone a man his size. She can't help applauding when he's done, clearly impressed by the display. ]

[Namur waves his arm upward a couple times.]

All right.

[ It takes her a bit to get up and balanced on one foot, and it's clear it's not something she does a lot as she is having to take her time to hop over and keep standing just so that she doesn't fall. ]

[It's a shame, because both he and Ace have been bugging her to get up and move on it. Namur slips his hands under hers to help her balance, crouching down so that they're closer to face to face.]

Sheheheh! Doin' fine sweetheart, y' got it. Jus' stand here for a sec an' get used t' usin' yer leg, a'ight? When y' start feelin' it, jus' bounce up an' down t' the beat. Ain't gotta jump or nothin', jus' feel it an' let it move y'.

[ When he's helping her balance Adela can relax a little more, sighing a bit even if the touch is... a little weird? Well she doesn't know, just that he's trying to teach her this weird new dancing thing. ]

I am more used to it with a crutch admittedly, but I suppose that would defeat the purpose of this would it not?

Can dance with crutches, too. Seen some vids the other day. But y' gotta have damn good balance t' pull it off.

[Namur drops his hands for a few moments, leaving her suddenly bereft of support, then slowly brings his hands back up for her to use.]

Gotta work up t' it, I guess. Sheheheheh!

[ Well, at least she can stand still on one leg. Not very well, but she can. Adela is holding out both of her arms to help her keep balanced, and although at first she's wobbly she gets the hang of it soon enough. ]

Uhm, very well... What first, then?

Bounce or sway, jus' like I said earlier. Breakdance has lots a steps y' can learn but the most important part's jus' movin'. Do a bit a work on yer leg since yer wobbly as hell, then I'll show y' a thing or two y' can do with yer arms, aye? If y' wanna learn, that is.

[Namur ducks his head, but he's looking back up at her, daring her with his eyes to give it a real try.]

[ Bounce or sway? She'll frown before trying it, and at first she stays upright...

But it doesn't last. She slips after a bit, both hands flying out to hold her body above the ground, though it doesn't do much when her foot slips right out from under her soon enough.

Nehra this is hard, but she'll try to keep Namur from just lifting her up so she can at least try again... Even if it's hard to get up. ]
