[Action - Sonico Settles]

Sonico is not the type of young woman to sit back and relax. While other nineteen year olds might leap at the chance of being independent and with no responsibilities - no work; no studies; no band committments; no errands; no cats - Sonico is completely alien to the concept of 'free time'. So, as soon as she finds herself a little one-roomed apartment and signs herself up for some freelance modelling, Sonico is ready to get out and about exploring and finding herself things to do.

[Genessia City - Various Inns, Taverns, Cafes etc]

Freelance modelling is one thing, but until she gets herself a new portfolio and new clients, Sonico needs to eat, and that requires money. Having worked in various maid and waitressing positions, she figures that this is probably the easiest kind of work for her to find. It might not be her career goal, but it'll be something. Besides, these are social jobs, and she remembers the voices of her friends telling her that she needed to actually get out there, make more friends, talk to people instead of cats for a change. So, Sonico can be found all over the city, looking determined as she clutches a small pile of handwritten CVs.

[Genessia Library]

Hidden in the non-fiction section of the library, Sonico is busy collecting various information on marine biology in a bid to keep up to date with everything she would be learning back home at the university. Once she locates the science section, Sonico can happily spend a lot of time there. Other users might catch a glimpse of pink hair between the shelves, they might hear the occasion loud thud as she drops yet another heavy book from a shelf, or else they might be having a look for a place to read and come across a girl busily making notes or, if later in the day, fast asleep with her face in the books.

[Anywhere You Find Her]

Sonico isn't a stranger to exploring, used to taking herself away for day trips here and there out of the city. So she looks quite at peace, wandering around the city, pausing at buildings and landmarks of interest. From time to time she'll just take a moment to rest on a bench somewhere, or in a park, with an icecream cone or a cold coffee. She is out on her own, and looks peaceful - the perfect kind of stranger to pester.

[Terrance comes to the library fairly often. He's run into a few different people here but he'd hoped that he'd avoid a certain pink haired girl. She doesn't know him but he remembers her.

When he ducks into a far isle with a book on plant life he swears beneath his breath.]
Bloody hell. [His accent is thick and he steps to return the book to its proper place hoping the pink haired girl hadn't heard his curse and completely ignores his existance.

Hindsight he could have just left the book on a table and let someone else deal with it.]

[Terrance doesn’t move fast enough. He turns just in time to see a rather large book hit him in the face. He’s thin and not overly muscular and falls with the book to the floor. He’s sitting when he’s able to blink the stars out of this gaze.]

What in the Bloody Queens name are you doing?

[He half shouts, not really caring that they are in a library. He tastes blood and realize then that his lip is bleeding… great.]

[ Shiemi herself was in the library that day, finding different books on healing methods and medical ventures. Although she did believe becoming a full-fledged Exorcist, she was a Doctor as well as a Tamer. And being of such titles she had to get enough knowledge she could.

And Genessia’s library content was pretty expansive. Having two books occupying both her hands, Shiemi moves towards the plethora of desks and decides to sit next to someone. Possibly strike up a conversation. Happily take about plants and their remedies.

There’s a pink-haired girl — her hair reminds Shiemi of cotton candy or tasty macaroons. It’s a good thought.

She moves forward to see her diligently working on notes of some sort; studying probably.
]

Umm, hello there!

[ She points to the seat across from Sonico, smiling kindly. ]

Mind if I have a seat? I promise I won’t bother you.

[Athrun is another person who regularly visits the sciences section of the library. He may be a career soldier now, but once upon a time he was looking at working as a mechanical engineer, and the field still interests him. He likes to read up on history, too, which gives him all the more reason to visit.

At the moment, he's walking through the library with some periodicals in hand, when he comes across a familiar-looking pink-haired girl literally buried in an open book. After letting out a sigh, he walks up and gently taps her on the shoulder.]

Hey. Can you hear me? You should wake up.

Thanks a lot!

[ Shiemi accepts her invitation with a flourishing bow, before seating herself directly across from Sonico. It’s hard not to notice the books she has open. ]

Marine life…? Biology? Is that something you like? Nice!

[Genessia City - Bright Sky Diner]

It had been a difficult work day for Sakuya. Two people had called in sick and she had to work double duty as a chef and a waitress as needed. And it wasn't like back at the mansion or in Castle Dracula. She was not allowed to stop time while on duty save for preventing accidents as the energy and distortions were more than a little unsettling.

Fortunately the shifts had changed and they were no longer low on staff members, though she had yet fully recover her energy. Taking a deep breath, she squared her shoulders and put on her best smile as a certain pink-haired woman entered.

She was the devil's maid! The servant of an aristocrat! And she'd be damned if she would be defeated by the service industry!

"Welcome to the Bright Sky Diner! What can I do for you this afternoon?"

[Terrance sucks at dealing with people, more so when their so nice about things. He holds up a hand hoping that it'll stop her frantic efforts and give him a second to breathe.

Dark eyes stare up at him in a look that suggests that she needs to also take a second to breath.]

Stop- [The word rolls off his tongue in a smooth tone.] -saying sorry.

[The pad of his pointer finger lightly daps at the blood on his lip before running through his already messy hair.]

I'm fine.

[Athrun sighs. If nothing else, at least he can see her face now, so he knows it's the girl with the unusual name. Maybe that will help. He gently places his hand on her shoulder and gives it a few careful yet firm shakes.]

Sonico, you need to wake up. This is no place to sleep.
rockcollector: (I'm obviously hurt)

[personal profile] rockcollector 2016-08-03 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[Terrance glances at her before shifting his weight. He pulls his legs closer allowing for him to sit up and use both of his hands. He gingerly touches his lip a few times, tasting blood in his mouth. It aches but he'll live, there isn't any use whining about it.]

Just give me a moment. [He exhales and then glances at the books around him. The one that hit him had been a rather large book, which explains why his head hurts so much. If it's a concussion he should really stay seated and she seems eager to do something useful...]

Could I trouble you for a glass of water?

[He's trying to kick his head back into gear. Being at a loss is not something Terrance is used to nor is he comfortable with it.]
rockcollector: (I'm listening)

[personal profile] rockcollector 2016-08-03 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[Terrance carefully takes the cup as if anything but a delicate movement might break something. His fingers glide against hers feeling rough compared to the smooth text of her skin. He brings the cup to his lips winching when the paper presses against the cut on his lips.

Paper cuts were always worse than just being punched in the cheek. That's Terrances opinion about the matter anyway.

He looks up at her fingers placing the empty paper cup to his side. His head began to clear and he found himself staring at the girl in front of him. He definately remembers her. Somehow the end of their texting conversation hadn't pissed her off which is odd for Terrance since he's usually a jackass on his best days.

He rises his hand and gently wraps his fingers around hers, pinning the two digits together.]
Two.

I told you. I'm fine.

[His expression relaxes though he doesn't smile, smiling is rare and usually painful activity. He releases her fingers a second later but remains seated. He should wait a few more minutes before he should stand.]

[There are exactly 17.52 seconds of awkward silence. Terrance isn't good with people and he's worse with girls. He's too tired to be pissed or annoyed which is usually his default disposition. You don't have to be honest with people when you dislike everything, or so he's found.]

I believe that's called a coma.

[He stares at her before attempting to find the book he'd been returning among those littering the floor. A few fell off in the commotion.]

That text probably weighs close to 2.18 kg. Factoring a force at sea level would use 9.832 m/s2 which would equal 21.43... [He looks up at her only realizing then that he'd been talking outloud.] It's about 4.72lbs force. Not hard enough to knock someone out forever.
rockcollector: (Thinking)

[personal profile] rockcollector 2016-08-03 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[Terrance nods his head feeling both uncomfortable and flattered that she might read to him if he'd been comatose. It's an absolutely ridiculous idea but he's never met anyone who's cared enough to suggest such a thing. Any emotion he's feeling is hidden behind a mask that appears to be either boredom or logic.]

Estimated weight of a textbook is 2.18 kg. [It's obvious by the way he explains that he's worked as a teacher. Technically he'd been an assistant but Professor Fitzmarcus never did like explaining things to his students and often left it to his poor assistant; Terrance.] 9.832 m/s2 the constant acceleration of an object at sea level. I don't know where we are in relations to that so it's another estimated valve. You then have Newton's law F=MA. Mass: 2.18 kg times acceleration 9.832 m/s2 will give you the force of a falling object.

[He's good at doing math in his head.]

21.43 kg * m/s2 can be converted into about 4.72lbs of force. Which is just dividing my a constant.

[Terrance looks at her wondering if he's made any sense. He's better teaching people about rocks or bats. They were cooler than physics. Physics he just knew because he had too.]
rockcollector: (You're serious)

[personal profile] rockcollector 2016-08-03 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[Terrance has to stop himself from rolling his eyes though he's unable to hide his stare which suggests that she should at least have been able to follow some of that. Then again, he has no idea how old she is or if she's even interested in physics.

It isn't far to assume that everyone knows what he knows. Then again, when has life been fair?]

How about this... aquatic plant life is defined by plants that live partially or completely underwater. Often rooted in mud.

[His accent thickens for a moment before he clears his throat.]
