[This technology is strange to him, though with enough ingenuity he's figured out the basics of it, at least to know the difference between video, audio, and text at least. And that's all that matters to him at this particular moment. But he sighs softly to himself as he pushes the button, putting on his best smile to at least try and make it look like he's not irritated to be somewhere that's not where he should be at this point. Second time he's been denied the afterlife now and that's really not cool.]

I listened and read the information that I could, but I have one important question. Has anyone here ever been pulled from death? As in they are very much and should absolutely be dead and yet they aren't and with no signs of the fact?

I know it sounds like a strange question, but any answers would be appreciated to that extent. The dead should not be walking and it is... disconcerting to be in such a state. [Really, he's just glad he's not being controlled this time, jeeze.]

[If anyone cares to run into him in person, it's probably easy to spot him being out of place in his outfit that looks far more at place in some kind of Japanese flick or something equally as ridiculous. But either way the tiny teenager at about 5'1" is wandering around the streets, seeming absolutely intrigued by the giant buildings and cars on the streets.

Yeah, it's obvious he's never seen such a thing as this and he's looking more like a tourist than anything else. But he's also moving from the street to any trees or smaller buildings with relative ease, just to get better vantage points which totally doesn't look out of place or anything.

The master of stealth, this kid.]

Sasuke's still been trying to find work ~~because no one wants to hire a minor as young as him apparently~~, and again he's been out and about trying to do so once more. He's gotten a little more used to Genessia at least, but when he sees Haku, his expression of someone who has literally seen a ghost.

He stops in his tracks, staring and stunned. How? How is he alive? He saw... He shouldn't be there.

Sasuke doesn't even care that he's in plain sight, or that Haku might see him. He's more concerned about the fact that Haku is here. ]

I have heard and seen the dead come here, though I do not know if they have been known to arrive here after they have died in their own worlds. I am afraid I do not have more for you, unfortunately.

[Normally he'd have been paying better attention to his surroundings, to chakra signals and anything else of that nature. But with his curiosity and having deemed this place as not immediately threatening he'd let his guard down somewhat.

But once he hops to a building to scan the surroundings once more his eyes fall on the familiar form nearby. That clothing, that hair, that headband. Oh, that is certainly someone familiar and he's not entirely sure if the boy won't just attack him on sight anymore.

Thus his curiosity is changed into caution, clearing his throat as he moves back to the ground, hands very much in front of him and held out to let him know there are no weapons on him. Or, well, there are but he's not going to attack out of nowhere.]

It has been... some time. [Though the last time he heard he was older than this, weird.]

[He hums softly to himself as he contemplates her words, he could give away why he's asking but that would be giving away information he doesn't want to be public knowledge quite yet.]

Ah... If that is the case, then I suppose it might prove futile to hope. [What he's hoping for is yet another thing he'll keep under wraps, he might be willing to speak more than typical, but not completely.]

[ He can finally regain himself long enough to speak, and although he's ready to go on the defensive he isn't about to go charging against Haku. He knows, in a one-on-one match, he'd lose outright even now. Maybe he'd stand a better chance with Chidori, but still. He's not exactly keen on getting civilians involved in a fight either. ]

This place seems to pick and choose who arrives here and who does not, so it may yet be possible for someone to arrive after their own death. I have been here only a few months, there are many here who would know more of it.

[Excuse him while he bites back a laugh along with a hand in front of his mouth at being called miss. Ah, it's so commonplace now, but if she wants to think that, then that's fine with him.]

Given what information I have already been given here? I would not doubt it in the slightest, though this place is... far different than anything I have seen before.

Such a thing was possible in our world as well, forbidden, but possible. [He can say from experience, oops. But that's all the information Sasuke is going to get on that.]

But to wish for the dead to return to life comes with a price, I would think. Even if I do not... see any physical damage from the way I died. [Which is kind of bothering him more than anything else, to be perfectly fair.]

[ She'll huff a laugh and smile, shaking her head at the statement. ]

So many new and strange things here, it is hard to believe that you may become accustomed to at least some of it. You will be fine, it will simply take some time.

Accustomed to it... The other cities, they are less advanced than this one, correct? [Honestly, he just wants to get to something he's familiar with instead of all these tall buildings like this and weird cars and help.]

Is that what this is, though? Were you brought back using a technique, or did you wake up in the bay?

[ Please confirm for him that you're not just a pile of dead remains put together with chakra, Haku. He needs to know, whether he's actually alive or if some asshole was screwing around with that kind of jutsu. ]

[He shakes his head slowly, hands clasping together in front of him. He looks very alive and his eyes aren't any different than before, which is a dead giveaway as far as he knows.]

I woke up in the bay, so no, it was not a technique. Though it does not mean it might not be something we do not know of that only someone in this place could do. But that is only speculation, as much as I would prefer to it not be as such.

The one to the North, Nova City, is more advanced believe it or not. There is much more strange technology there -- I found it quite overwhelming in comparison to everything else.

You would be right in thinking the other cities are not quite as overwhelming. I suppose the least "advanced" would be Fayren in the South, for they do not have things like electricity or cars among other things. It was what I was most used to at first as well.

May I ask what sort of world you lived in then, Miss Haku?

More advanced? [Yeah, no, he's staying far away from that mess. Nope.] I suppose I will be avoiding that one as just this city is overwhelming to me. [He muses softly, though he does listen to the rest of the information, kind of liking the sound of Fayren but at the same time he did like having electricity and such... When they could.]

Ah. It varied depending on the village itself, though we certainly had electricity for the most part. Though the village I was most familiar with tended to be rather basic other than things that were deemed necessary, but it has been quite some time since I have seen it.

It might be easiest to say that communication was still through birds and transportation at the most advanced was steam trains. Most of us walked, however.

[ Frown... Haku remembers fighting them though, and he remembers dying. If that's possible and it really was Genessia that brought him here, then... He can feel his head spinning at the possibilities.

Still, he regains himself enough to meet Haku's eye again. He doesn't need to know about Sasuke's turbulent thoughts or what else might happen, only that has answered quite a few questions. For that, he feels like he should give Haku some of the information he knows as well. ]

This place can also take people from the same world but at different points of time. A girl from my village is also here as well, but she's from three years in the future. You should be careful if you see anyone else you might know because of that.

You may like Attleton then. It is a little less than Genessia, and it does not have quite so many tall buildings at the least.

Mm. When I said forbidden jutsu, I have been the target of such a thing. This would have been the second time I have been brought back from the afterlife proper. And from what I saw of Naruto... you are far younger than he was that time.

If it will make you feel better, then by all means. But it truly does not bother me in the slightest as the... mistake, for lack of a better word, tended to work in my favor back home.
