[This technology is strange to him, though with enough ingenuity he's figured out the basics of it, at least to know the difference between video, audio, and text at least. And that's all that matters to him at this particular moment. But he sighs softly to himself as he pushes the button, putting on his best smile to at least try and make it look like he's not irritated to be somewhere that's not where he should be at this point. Second time he's been denied the afterlife now and that's really not cool.]
I listened and read the information that I could, but I have one important question. Has anyone here ever been pulled from death? As in they are very much and should absolutely be dead and yet they aren't and with no signs of the fact?
I know it sounds like a strange question, but any answers would be appreciated to that extent. The dead should not be walking and it is... disconcerting to be in such a state. [Really, he's just glad he's not being controlled this time, jeeze.]
[Action for around Genessia city]
[If anyone cares to run into him in person, it's probably easy to spot him being out of place in his outfit that looks far more at place in some kind of Japanese flick or something equally as ridiculous. But either way the tiny teenager at about 5'1" is wandering around the streets, seeming absolutely intrigued by the giant buildings and cars on the streets.
Yeah, it's obvious he's never seen such a thing as this and he's looking more like a tourist than anything else. But he's also moving from the street to any trees or smaller buildings with relative ease, just to get better vantage points which totally doesn't look out of place or anything.
The master of stealth, this kid.]

[Action] Because WHAT
Sasuke's still been trying to find work
because no one wants to hire a minor as young as him apparently, and again he's been out and about trying to do so once more. He's gotten a little more used to Genessia at least, but when he sees Haku, his expression of someone who has literally seen a ghost.He stops in his tracks, staring and stunned. How? How is he alive? He saw... He shouldn't be there.
Sasuke doesn't even care that he's in plain sight, or that Haku might see him. He's more concerned about the fact that Haku is here. ]
[Action] He's just as confused, really
But once he hops to a building to scan the surroundings once more his eyes fall on the familiar form nearby. That clothing, that hair, that headband. Oh, that is certainly someone familiar and he's not entirely sure if the boy won't just attack him on sight anymore.
Thus his curiosity is changed into caution, clearing his throat as he moves back to the ground, hands very much in front of him and held out to let him know there are no weapons on him. Or, well, there are but he's not going to attack out of nowhere.]
It has been... some time. [Though the last time he heard he was older than this, weird.]
[Action]
[ He can finally regain himself long enough to speak, and although he's ready to go on the defensive he isn't about to go charging against Haku. He knows, in a one-on-one match, he'd lose outright even now. Maybe he'd stand a better chance with Chidori, but still. He's not exactly keen on getting civilians involved in a fight either. ]
I thought you died protecting Zabuza.
[Action]
Mm, I did. I would tell you more of events after that, but you would not understand the consequences of that at this particular moment. [He's not fucking with time and space, man. That's dangerous.]
Let us just say that I would much rather be in the afterlife, as I should be, than in some place such as this. I was very much dead before I arrived here...

Ah... If that is the case, then I suppose it might prove futile to hope. [What he's hoping for is yet another thing he'll keep under wraps, he might be willing to speak more than typical, but not completely.]
It is still helpful enough in one way or another, thank you, miss...?
[Video]
[ She nods, allowing herself to lean back in her chair for the time being. ]
This place seems to pick and choose who arrives here and who does not, so it may yet be possible for someone to arrive after their own death. I have been here only a few months, there are many here who would know more of it.
[Video]
Haku. [Also doesn't help that his name is stupidly gender neutral, too, oh well.]
Given what information I have already been given here? I would not doubt it in the slightest, though this place is... far different than anything I have seen before.

herhis side.]Yes; one friend of mine claims the same. That is, being dead in his own world, while being alive in this. Suppose Genessia wants us at our freshest, or something along those lines. Well, I'm happy you're in the land of the living, at least. What's your name?
[Video]
Ah, so it is not an uncommon thing? [He sounds far, far too happy about that, oops.] It seems to be the case, though I would think pulling the dead from the afterlife is a rather... rude thing for it to be doing.
Haku and your's? [At least this kid's polite.]
Re: [Video]
[Few minutes on the web later] Ah, does that mean "white" in your tongue? You're very lucky if so. I'm Ted.
[Video]
[He hadn't expected him to come back, but.]
Mm? It does, yes. Which is a little ironic given the name of the clan I was once part of, but I rather like the name. Though I do not think it lucky? [More ironic, if he were to be truthful.] And a pleasure, Ted.

action;
Tifa has fought some tough opponents before, but few of them could move as quickly and as swiftly as this boy just had. She watches him for a moment before realizing that he was only trying to get a better look at his surroundings.
Smiling, she walks over and stands beneath the tree.]
It's a lot to take in, isn't it?
Re: action;
Quietly he hops down from the branch to in front of her, seeming to land that perfectly. He's a tiny thing to be sure.]
Ah, it is! I have not seen buildings this tall before, or transportation like on these streets in my life.
action;
Really? What are things like where you're from? My home isn't so different technology wise.
action;
Ah, it depends on the village, really. The major villages tend to be... built up a little more than other places, I have heard tales of Konoha having large buildings almost as tall as these, for instance. Though the one I am particularly familiar with is more of a... I suppose you could call it rural in a sense. It was... not a particularly peaceful place. [That's all he's saying on that subject, oops.]
There are smaller villages of people that tend to be farming or mining communities, so nothing particularly noteworthy to speak of. Horses and just walking are the normal transportation, though trains are... a thing, to be certain. [His world is really, really weird on the technology level front, Tifa.]
action;
[action]
Steven follows behind, trying to get up the nerve to talk to...him? Her? They're so cool looking anyway. Maybe it's something like cosplay? Do they do that around here? If they do he's got some great ideas in mind.
Okay, courage got]
Hi! I'm Steven! Arrrrrrre you a ninja?
[action]
Ah, he seems to be around the same age as him, anyway. Interesting.]
Haku, Steven. [The question about him being a ninja causes him to pause, a small smile playing on his lips. He was astute, he'd give him that.]
I may be, yes, though you are the first person to ask me that.
[Action]
Yeah, she's almost 100% positive that person is using chakra. Which means she's also almost 100% sure they're a ninja.
She hesitates on the street, gripping her bag of groceries tighter though her eyes never leave their figure.
On one hand, she could follow them and confirm her suspicions.
On the other, she could find herself in another situation like she got into with Sasuke. Plus, she doesn't recognize them. And if it's a (what she's now dubbing) "Sasuke situation" where they're from different times. If only there's a better way to figure out if someone is friend or foe...
She bites her lip and shuffles from foot-to-foot. Sorry, Haku, but she can't decide whether to
stalktail or to keep on going her merry way and pretend like she saw nothing.][Action]
Unfortunately she won't get a chance to make that decision as once he's returned to the ground he's looking for the source, gaze finally falling onto her. He can piece a few things together about her just from appearances, those eyes are somewhat familiar and he's pretty sure the only place he's heard of someone with what he thinks those might be is from a certain village.
Slowly he's moving forward, though he's pointedly holding his hands up and letting the sleeves of his haori fall to his elbows to show he's not holding any sort of weapon to speak of.]
I take it you are from a village? [Haku, please.]
((Sorry about taking so long, IRL kicked my butt.))
[Action]
She's curious.
Those movements, the headband that she can finally see. Yep, she knew she was right in thinking ninja.
But when she actually sees the symbol on it as he gets closer, she narrows her eyes. Mist. She doesn't move to any offensive or defensive position yet though, taking the gesture for what it was. She would do the same but one arm is holding a grocery bag. As it is, she holds up her free hand in a mirrored gesture. While her sleeves don't fall down, they are tight enough that if she had a weapon, it would be easily seen.
She flinches a little when he easily pegs her as being from a village. Even though she's taken to leaving her "Shinobi" headband in her apartment, her eyes always give her away.]
I am... And it looks like you're from Mist, right?
((It's ok! I'll backtag forever. And I hope life has settled down!))
[Action]
But the mirrored gesture has him lowering his hands again, a soft smile on his lips as he examines her a bit. Yeah, he's pretty sure he knows exactly where she's from.]
Not... formally. [He lets that pause rest for a moment.] I have no reason to lie on that front, I was never officially a part of them and it was used for purposes against them. Officially I have no ties. [But given he's not saying he's from anywhere to speak of, it's not as if he's been kicked out of a village, either.]
But it is hardly of any concern, believe me, I do not hold the same feelings or goals that they do. [Yeah, he... he knows the reputation they have.]
I assume you are from Leaf, then? It is... not hard to spot certain bloodlines, after all.
((Awesome! And yeah, it has a bit for now, at least.))
[Action]
Action
Are you looking for something?
[Never mind that the question sounded off coming from a boy who didn't look a day over seven. ]
Action
But the approach once he's on the ground again causes him pause, head tilting as he regards Conan. He knows better than to judge based on appearances, given his own.]
Aah, not particularly. Was more trying to get a lay of the land of sorts, I prefer to have my own mental map versus a physical copy.
