14 Penguins | Video

[Nagisa was sitting at home, pencil writing down something in a notebook, his hand still holding the device. He had a reason for the device to be on and once he looks up, he knew to talk, trying his best to be able to smile at least.]

Whenever someone I know leaves, I would make a candy and sell it. It's what I am doing right now, making notes and seeing what works at home. I'm currently working on a Levy one that's book themed.

[He taps his pencil on the notebook.]

But I was starting to wonder if I should expand to people who have left in general and maybe people who are around. They won't be named after the person of course, but people would have the choice of what they think there own candy would be like.

[He had started to write again, this time his eyes focused on the page in front of him.]

If you would like that possibly for you or someone you knew here, let me know and let me know what you think your candy would be like. I have a list of some people told me before, though so they are in the works.

[He smiled slightly, but it wasn't his usual one before he switched off the feed.]

K-Katze is really sweet, and he l-likes pink and red lots. A-And he's pretty. H-He had long red hair, and is r-really tall, and he likes to give s-surprise kisses.

Surprise kisses?

[From that he was really not sure what to make of it, or how to make a candy out of it. Well he could have a surprise inside he supposed.]

Mhmm.

[He'd been on the receiving end of some of those surprises. No complaints.]

W-Wait, isn't there a candy called 'kisses'...?

Chocolate kisses, yes.

But surprises kisses are an odd thing to actually get and I mean it physically. In shows it's because it's considered sexual harassment when it's a surprise and unwanted. It's why I never do it.

B-But... I like when he s-surprise kisses me.

Question, how long have you known them? I ask mostly because you have given me very basic information about the person even though it seems as though you two are very close.

O-Oh... I... I didn't know how much to g-give... S-Sorry.

[He felt a little bad now. He hadn't meant to mess up.]

W-We met a few weeks ago.

It's fine, but I tend to work with what makes them, who they are. Like with my The Loki candy. It was based on a person I knew whose abilities were fire related. Another one I'm making based on another friend is based on books because I know that's what they loved. If you know a person well enough it's easy to instead come up with something creative rather than giving basics.

So... you met a few weeks ago... That must mean you really don't know them that well, yet. Which kind of explains it.

O-Oh... S-Sorry, I didn't know it took so m-much to make a candy.

Umm... W-Well, he really likes food, e-especially candy. Th-That's why I thought... I thought that he would like o-one made after him. He... He likes going out and p-playing, like to festivals and p-parties. He likes his pet f-fish, but Bubbles is his favorite. He umm... He likes dressing up lots. O-Oh! H-he's really tall, and he likes how, how tall he is. H-He likes hugs and kisses, and... He likes make-up, b-but I don't think he needs it. I-I think he likes the bright colors the... the most.

Does... Does any of that help?

Actually that does help. At least the fish part gave me an idea and mix that with colours just need to think of the right flavours to go with the colours, or go with something someone wouldn't expect.

I-Is there anything else that... that would help?

No, that should be able to do it really. Thank you.

I-I can't wait. I... I bet Katze will really l-like it!

[He couldn't wait to take home a pastry fish and tell Katze it was just for him.]

You make candy, Nagisa-chan?

[If it's come up at all before, safe to say Ibuki's forgotten. Still, now she does know...]

I do, have done for the last few months since I took over. I found out making candy is like my calling or something.

[It helped that the young man liked his candy and all.]

Well I did have the job offer for it here... More taste testers the better, but I will either pay you with money or candy.

I mean...Ibuki already has a job that pays her money. Why would she turn down free candy in that case?

Exactly. Plus the choice of candy is up to you. Can be different each time as well. It's perfect payment when one doesn't need the money.

[At least in his mind anyway.]

Different each time and Ibuki gets to pick? I was already sold so does that make me double-sold? Your own Ibuki taste-tester in two reasonable instalments!

[It makes sense to her. Somehow.]

Great. My shop is in Fayren and you'd only need to pop by once a week since it can take time for me to make when it's just me sometimes.

Ibuki will come by to visit soon, then. Need to know where to find you, right?

[She doesn't know Fayren that well but what better reason to learn?]

I can give you directions for how to get there from the archway.

Oh good. Those might come in handy...Ibuki doesn't have a great sense of direction.

[And fun as the games she makes of it are, they're not helpful this time.]

How bas is your sense of direction?

Well...sometimes Ibuki forgets her way home...

Oh wow... How have you managed to get around Genessia then? A map?

Pretty much. That and the phone-thingy tells me where to go if I really need it to.

At least you have something to help you when there isn't anyone around. Oh! Does your phone speak to you when you need directions?

Sometimes. Sometimes Ibuki needs map-chan to spell things out a little more. Plus that way I don't walk into lampposts and stuff.

You would think a map would tell you where lampposts were so that wouldn't happen.

You would! But so many maps only show the paths, not what's on them. It's like they expect people to have an attention span!

[Which Ibuki very rarely does.]

Maybe in the future there might be. I mean if Nova city does in the future, I'd be surprised considering it's all futuristic and all.

[He would expect something like that.]

Well, Ibuki has used something like it while she's been here. Just, sometimes Ibuki likes to test herself.

[When really she should just have perma-sat nav and be done with it.]

Oh! And I assume that either went well or not at all.

[One can test themselves at least, but that's how they improve... He thinks anyway.]

Ibuki's found some interesting places while getting lost. So it worked out.

[Forever the optimist even in this.]

What places? You said they were interesting so now I am super curious to know.

Hmm. Well, mostly cafes. Walking around is thirsty work...and hungry work. Then there are the gaming places...and some of the parks are super-pretty.

Ah, I think I know of the gaming places you mentioned. I've been to a few of them myself. Also have you been to the park where names of people who have come and gone are?

Hmm...that isn't ringing any bells. But Ibuki probably hasn't been here long enough to see everywhere yet.

[And now she knows it's there...]

I could always show you sometime. I mean I go there daily myself.

[For reasons, mostly the fact the names of his friends were there after all.]

It's a nice place to remember friends and the good times.

Oh? Hmm, that does sound like an interesting place. Maybe Ibuki will even see names she knows.

[Which would be strange but not impossible given what she's learned about the place so far.]

Maybe, but one won't know until they go there. For me there were no names I knew before I arrived here.

[He wondered if that was a lucky thing or not. He put it as a good thing personally.]
