[he has stayed generally out of things for the most part... but he can't be silent at everything he's read in the newspaper. He doesn't exactly know what's going on in the Everglades but having been here a while he's recognizing it as his duty to find out.

...maybe that was why he was brought here in the first place?]

This vigilante....

There are some horrible things that have happened. That creatures eat humans is the cycle of life and mist is forgiving. Sometimes being dead is easier than being alive. That does not concern me. Even in places where supposedly death does not matter.

(though I would not say it to their faces ha ha ha)

But to torture is an entirely different matter altogether. No one deserves that. I would not even wish that on the one who committed the act.

Perhaps they should be brought to justice? Though I do not know what kind of justice exists in the Everglades. Though I am ever feeling it's my increasing duty to find out. To bring it about if I can.

I have stayed too long in Fayren and have ignored my true calling.

Does anyone know where to live cheap there?

You speak of justice, and yet...

Tell me. How do you know it wasn't a lie? The vigilante made quite a few enemies in his time, especially politically, for not allowing the hunting of innocents or "easy" prey.

What makes you think your justice is right, rather than emotionally reactionary?

Justice is taking the time to thoroughly check all the facts and evidence. Don't believe everything you read just because it's in the newspaper. Newspapers lie more than even normal criminals.

No.

And no again. Justice can be instinctual, but it must come from knowledge to carry true conviction, otherwise it's just the same as an unthinking beast lashing out.

What?

[Face palms.] Don't just believe everything you read. I've made that mistake.

Authority isn't just bounties and publishers. You said yourself, true justice has to come from within, not just externally. Talk to Fai, he's the guardian of the place, and the very one Ted tried to rile up as a vigilante. He didn't break any laws, he even convinced criminals to fetch bounties for him. Those are not the actions of an injustice which requires jailtime.

[Tight grin.]

I hope you're ready for a fight, friend.

Because one is surely headed your way.

[But he'll have your back and also get Maribelle to defend.]

Wouldn't be much of a vigilante if I wasn't, eh?

Did I say that? Oh Smoker, you took me for a quitter.

Crime fighting, ridiculous costume, man-against-the-world romance. That's far too idiotic to refuse.

Hah, well as endearing as the 'Mr. Snuffles' moniker is, it is important that credit goes where its due--that is, God, else people get the wrong idea. I'm still uncertain about the mawkish voice, however.

I assume that if such events continue the people won't rest well. Justice or not something will happen in the end. One can only hope that the result is a positive one.

I really don't like the tactics used though. I can't believe in a person who goes so far in that direction.

I also think everyone should work hard towards hope. And as long as everyone works towards that I'm sure it will all work out for the best.

It’s scary to think someone would go that far for a cause that probably can’t be achieved.

And sad, really.

But as if cheap places to live… which city are you looking at? :)

You live in the Everglades?! Please, be careful. More than ever, now.

But! I heard that Groaznic Village is pretty… decent? I live in Fayren, so I’m not exactly the best guide (´ω`)

Hey, I think your right about the Vigilante. There is a prison in Genessia that's suppose to be able to hold people. Even people with powers, I don't know a lot about it.

Maybe ask someone about that?
As for Fayren, I don't hang out there a lot but there is an Inn that I think was pretty cheap?
Hope that helps.

[Sigh. Being the only Ranger was frustrating sometimes. Especially if this comes up. Perhaps he could start aiding the Guardian in other ways.]

Or, instead of becoming a vigilante yourself like the one you are swearing against, you can simply join the Everglade Rangers and supply proper aid to protect those here.

That said, there is Assombrada Park and Groaznic Village to live there.
