A "Hypothetical" Question; VIDEO/ACTION

[Terra is sitting in her greenhouse when the video starts. Flowers climb up the back wall with buds peeking out towards the bright sunlight that filters through the misty glass. Her hair is down, falling in loose mint green curls around her shoulders. She looks thoughtful as she regards her phone.]

I have a question. It’s just something I’ve been thinking about…

…

People can't die here and hurting them doesn't make us feel better... what does it take to forgive someone? What do they need to do when they've done something really bad?

[As the video continues there is a flash of white fur before the phone falls on its front; turning the screen black.]

Howl!

[Terra’s disapproving voice echoes through the phone before the feed ends. She hopes someone might reply to her question, despite her cat’s interruption.]

ACTION: BAR

[Terra decides to take a walk to be alone with her thoughts. She spends most of her time at her flower shop and while it’s usually quite her pets or visitors have the tendency to distract her. As she makes her way through the city she starts checking out different businesses and stores. A few of them she peeks into and immediately leaves. That’s what she should have done at this bar.

The atmosphere is smoky but warm, it’s curious, and without hesitation she makes her way to the line of bar stools to take a seat. The bartender regards her seriously for a moment before ignoring her. She looks both lost and unsure; neither are traits he wants to deal with.

Terra’s gaze moves around the room. She makes eye contact with a few people staring at her though their eyes quickly dart away. It doesn’t bother her but she wonders if she looks that out of place. Her dress is red and short. It’s the closest thing to the dress she’d woken up with and her sandals were light brown. It is too hot to wear more though she’s noticed that most of the men in the bar are wearing pants instead of shorts. She can’t see how she might be out of place.

She turns back to the bartender.] Excuse me? [The soft voice does nothing to get his attention.]

RANDOM: FLOWER SHOP EMPLOYEES

[Terra has declared it employee day in her two shops. Everyone working or not will get a surprise flower delivery at their house! In it will have a small bag of candies and a little note thanking you for all of your help. Jefferson and Dave will get separate ones, despite the fact that they live together and each flower arrangement is different.]

[Ronan is nice and Terra enjoys living with him. It's like they are a small family, which is something she's always wanted.]

Why aren't you with them now?

[sonicosuper]

Oh. Do you like living with someone else?

*Because Sonico has always lived alone since her grandmother said she was able to leave home for university*

Oh. I'm not with him now because..because I'm drinking with you.

[greenmagick]

Yes, it isn't as lonely as it was when I lived alone.

[She isn't sure if she wants to live alone anymore.]

Ah, thank you... [Terra pauses.] For drinking with me.

[sonicosuper]

Hmm. That's nice. It must be nice not to worry about feeling lonely from time to time.

*Sonico takes her glass and drinks from it for a while*

Oh, that's no problem! Drinking and talking to someone is better than sitting around alone.

[greenmagick]

I'm lucky to have him there.

[She smiles softly towards her drink and then takes a sip.]

I'm ... it's nice to have the company. Thank you.

[sonicosuper]

It's no problem at all. I was just planning on drinking alone tonight...but this is better.

*Sonico then drinks up some more before tilting her head at Terra. She isn't usually quite so inquisitive when it comes to knowing about people's lives, but drinking makes chatting easier*

So what did you come here to think about?

A lot of different things...

[Terra takes a sip of her beer. She finds the more she drinks the more she enjoys it.]

I am not very good with feelings but I've discovered what I want. Now that I know... [She frowns.] I'm unsure how to get it.

It's... a little complicated.

[Not confusing but sensitive.]

Why is that icon so beautiful? ;;

*Sonico gives a nod as she drinks more too, now nearly finished her first glass. Because already she's thinking she'll probably get another*

Hmm. Feelings are strange things. What is in the way of you getting what you want?

[She pauses and stares at her drink, it's almost empty.]

I don't know.

*Seeing that both their drinks were almost empty, Sonico decided to call over to the bartender for two more of the same*

Life is...strange, huh? And...figuring out thoughts and feelings can be confusing. Especially, like you said, if they mean you don't know what to do about it...

*Then she drains her glass, staring down at the dregs in the bottom*

It's hard to express those feelings. I think... maybe I'm not the only one with that problem.

[She finishes her drink as well before placing it down on the counter.]

It's a lot to think of.

No. I definitely don't think you are!

*Sonico smiles lightly, knowing fine well she is just stupid when it comes to articulating how she feels about things. Mostly, she just needs to keep that to herself*

You wanna try at the start? Or, I guess, if you don't talk to me you should find someone or something to talk to. It does help. I mean, normally I talk to my cats, not people, but it still can help....Most of the time.

I'm not sure where to start.

[She takes the new drink and carefully takes a sip, she doesn't feel anything form the alcohol yet but she also doesn't know what she's suppose to feel.]

How do you start talking to your cats? [Terra wonders if her cat would want to listen.]

*Sonico smiles at the question*

Well, I come home and say, 'I'm home!' And they all come running and say, 'Mew!' Then I sit down and have a snack - if I have time - and I tell them all about my day. And they tell me all about their day!

*Then she puts her hands above her head like little cat ears and makes her best meowing noise, sounding like a distressed kitten*

[Terra isn't sure why Sonico is acting like a cat. It's not something she's encountered before.]

Sounds like they are lucky to have you.

[sonicosuper]

*Sonico smiles and slowly shakes her head*

I guess they maybe are, in a way. All of my cats I have rescued from the streets. But mostly I feel lucky to have them.

That's a good way to do it.

[She pauses in thought.]

I wonder if there are a lot of stray cats here?

[sonicosuper]

I haven't come across any yet. Otherwise, they'd be living with me already. But I have a big cuddly plush toy in my apartment, and I talk to him so it works out okay.

[greenmagick]

That sounds nice. I have a few animals living in my apartment.

[She isn't sure what pokemon count as.]

Howl is a white cat.

[sonicosuper]

Oh? What kinds of animals? I always thought it would be nice to have a rabbit, or even some fish.

*Sonico watches Terra as she drinks up more of her peach beer and smiles*

You have a cat? Lucky! Is it a noisy cat, if it's called Howl?

[greenmagick]

They're called pokemon.

[She takes another sip, unable to describe her pets further than that title.]

No but he does like to mess up Ronan's papers.

[sonicosuper]

Pokemon?

*Sonico almost spits out her mouthful of beer, but finally manages to swallow and slowly shake her head*

Wow...Pokemon. In your house?

*She ignores the pokemon stuff for the moment to focus on Terra talking about Ronan again*

Is Ronan your boyfriend?

I have four, yes.

[At her second question Terra feels her cheeks warm. It's most likely the beer but it isn't a reaction she's used too.]

No. He's just my roommate. He's very sweet.

[sonicosuper]

Wow...

*Sonico just stares, clearly with no real idea what to think about this, but she turns it into a smile*

Aww. That sounds nice!

It is.

[Terra really doesn't think she'd be able to live alone anymore.]

I don't know what I'd do without them. I've had them for a long time.
