so my heart is beating faster
WHO: Lucan Savir, Tony Stark, Airy, Lenalee, Rude, and maybe some other people at Stark Mechanics.
WHAT: Savir's shitty heart finally gives out after 47 bullshit years of life.
WHERE: Right in the middle of Stark Mechanic's lobby.
WHEN: 9/4
WARNINGS: u know he ded. also descriptions of a heart attack and legit a dude dying.
There are some things you get used to when you have a terminal heart condition. Things like sharp pains in the chest, a numbness in your arm, wheezing and just a good ol' inability to breathe in general. Normally? Savir just deals with it, waits it out until it goes away and then... then he goes on with his life.
Today? Not so much. Today it's especially bad, to the point where the giant of a man has to stop in the middle of his patrol and clutch his chest. His breath comes hard and fast - sends sharp pains not only through his chest, but up to his head and through his arms. The world spins, vision blurry as he leans on the nearest wall for support. Wait, is it a wall? Or is it the reception desk? You know what... he honestly doesn't know or care right now. All he knows is that everything hurts and this, this has to be it, the moment he's been waiting for.

wait.
For a foolish second Tony's body was frozen while his mind raced a mile a minute. What was going on? Was there a security breach? Had Savir been targeted? Why the hell was no one doing anything about it?! He realized he was calling for people but he couldn't even register who, only that he sounded frantic and he probably looked it too. He ran the distance between himself and Savir and leaned into the desk to try to get a look at the man's face. The pain was obvious, but what was causing it? He didn't see any outward injury so it had to be internal. Internal wasn't good.
"Savir?" His voice was louder than it needed to be, but this guy was someone he actually gave a shit about and although he knew people didn't die permanently -- god, he really didn't want to see that happen. "Listen to me, big guy. It's Tony. What's happening? Help me help you, buddy. Don't do this, okay? We don't have to do this."

"My heart." He wheezes, blearily trying to keep his attention on Tony. It's not really working, as he's staring slightly off to the right of him, "It seems she's finally - given up. Took long enough..." is he making jokes? I mean probably. Why go out miserable, right?

No... no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
He'd told her that he'd been dying but she thought he might try and find a cure here. Nova City had a lot of higher forms of medical treatment, of course it was completely out of her depth. She flipped open her phone and called the hospital. "I'm calling 911" Or whatever it is here.
"Just hang on Savir okay? Please." The last word sounded like a plead.

It was his heart.
Hearing those words only made his own heart beat faster, both from panic and because he knew from personal experience just how horrifyingly serious this kind of stuff was. If help didn't get there fast he really would die and Tony wouldn't be able to do a damn thing to stop it. Savir would be dead and it would be his fault because he couldn't -- no. He was still there. He was still alive. Tony just had to be sure he stayed that way. He barely registered that Airy was the one who had shown up. She knew how to call for emergency services without him spelling it out, didn't she?
"Sit. Now." His tone took on more authority then. If someone had been planning on using that chair behind the desk they sure as hell weren't going to anymore. He had it beside Savir in seconds, and before the man even had a chance to fall into it he was reaching forward to unzip his jacket. He had to stare at it to make sure he didn't catch the zipper and waste time.
"Listen, I'm going to have to take your shirt off. This is not me being gay right now. Try to breathe." The jacket was off and thrown to the side, Tony's eyes on Savir's to try to gauge just how with it he was.

It's not. It's a relief, on some levels, but the adrenaline's kicking in all the same and that means Rude's involving himself. Technically it does involve his department, after all, and he's been in enough impromptu medical emergency situations that he knows how to field this now.
Even if the medicine is different here, certain rules hold true all the same.
Since Tony is dealing with the immediate issue and Airy has the phonecall in hand, Rude turns his focus to securing the lobby. What they don't need, now, is a gaggle of gawkers so anyone who isn't currently handling the situation is politely asked to leave...and then less politely told to leave if that doesn't work.
Once they're clear, he plants himself between the main door and where Tony has Savir sat, attention split between both. He needs to stop anyone else coming in who shouldn't be here, but equally it doesn't take much to recognise the emotional energy in the room and as someone who, while he likes Savir well enough doesn't quite have that same investment that would speak to friendship, he knows he has to make sure that energy doesn't spiral in the wrong direction.
And all of it done with a fluidity and authority that says he's done something like this a time or two before, even if not for quite this reason.

Her feet moving faster she walked closer until she could see everything that was happening. This wasn't good. It obvious wasn't good at all and yet they didn't have any form of medical workers who actually worked here.
She was worried, she obvious was even though she hadn't spoken to him much, but looking over to Rude for a brief moment, noticing what he was doing she had gone to stand close to where he was. After all it was better to have two people sending people away if they have to.
But it didn't stop her from worrying about what will happen.

Savir does as Tony instructs despite the very real urge to resist, to literally push him away and tell him to just stop. He can't do anything for him. But the ex-knight still lets him try, for whatever reason.
"Heh." He laughs at the comment, "Is this all I needed to do to have you undress me?" shit, he would have died a lot sooner if that was the case. Another sharp pain shoots through his chest, and though loosening up his clothes kind of helped... he knows it won't really do much in the end. Savir looks from Tony, to Airy, and to the others in the room.
"There is nothing to hang on to. Not anymore."

"I said I'm fine just get someone down here!" She rarely yelled but in this situation she couldn't help it. Her voice was tense sounding like a tone a mom might use when her children were in trouble. It worked because the woman on the phone agreed before hanging up.
Airy stepped up to the pair, holding her phone in a tight grip to her side. "They're coming and will be here in 5 minutes." She spoke to Tony before looking back at Savir. "There is something to hang on to. Please we need you here." Airy hated the idea of losing another friend.

In some capacity he was aware of Rude and Lenalee being there but thinking about what they were doing was a waste of brain power he should be focusing elsewhere. The only other important thing besides Savir at that moment was making sure that someone was coming and that --
... nothing to hang on to. That kind of sentiment was far too familiar. Tony had been about to counter the statement with something -- he hadn't figure out just what but something -- when Airy addressed him. The way he whipped his head back to stare at her and the expression he made while he did so was more than enough evidence that he was livid before he even spoke.
"Are you telling me that you hung up?!" He started with his voice level but by the end he was the one yelling. "Do you have any idea how the hell emergencies even work?! Jesus fucking Christ, Arianna! Are you asking me to fire you because I swear I'll -- "
No. No. He had to focus.
"Can someone go get the damn first aid kit already?! For the love of god do something useful for me here!" Again, he wasn't addressing anyone specifically.
Tony abruptly turned back to Savir then, in that moment electing to ignore every other person there. Five minutes might not be good enough. He didn't have anything to give him and there was really nothing to do except stand there hope against all odds that his friend's dead body wasn't going to be slumped in that chair in the next few minutes.
"Listen. Hey." It sounded like he was pleading at that point and in front of half of his employees no less, but how big of a deal was that after losing his patience so severely? "If you don't have something to hold on to now would be one great time to find it, pal. Even if it's just, you know, literally and not figuratively. I have a lot of weird shit around here that you can hold if you promise to give it back when you're fine and done having a heart attack. Also it would be fantastic if you could, like, focus on trying to be really zen."

As much as she didn't want to argue, unless that was the case it really was a useless thing. But at the same time she knew how people were reacting. It was something she was all to use to.
So taking a slight breath, she tried to keep calm, but she could feel her body shaking slightly. She was all too use to this kind of things, but it still upset her never the less.
oops missed this!
It's gentle, but it's not quite a question either; as far as Rude is concerned, Airy's the best person to leave the scene right now because he can tell there'll be no point in defending against the temper Tony has right now. Understandably so, but all the same Rude knows they need practicality now. Arguments can be had later, once the situation is under control.
Granted, it doesn't take two people to guard the scene even now. But it gives Airy time to gather her composure should she need to - even if the kit itself proves useless, as Lenalee suggests and he's rather inclined to agree, if not so openly - and means there's a second person to spare should something else be required. All things considered, it's the logical choice to make and Rude is quite prepared to handle the fall-out from making that choice now.
Another reason to be glad of Lenalee joining them, because it's so much easier if Rude can focus on diffusing the current explosive situation without having to worry about an outsider asking the wrong question at the wrong time.

It's really a good thing that Rude tells Airy to go, because the knight he once was seems to fight inside him — so chivalrous as he is, then, he almost whispers for Tony to get both women as far from him as possible, if only so they don't see anymore of what is about to happen. They don't deserve that. Hell, Tony doesn't deserve it either but he knows well enough by now that he is nigh impossible to shake.
"Oh, my friend." Savir reaches out with a trembling hand, palm pressed to the back of Tony's head as he pulls him into a hug. If he must hold on to something, then let it be the one person here that he trusts, even if it means Tony can hear the erratic beats of his heart and the shaking breaths that come with the violent shakes of his body, "Forgive me for putting you through this. Fate is crueler than I thought - ah." the sentence ends with a grunt, Savir's fingers curling against the back of Tony's neck. A sharp pain ricochets through the kotkah's chest and pain seems to fade to numbness, to nothing. He slumps in his chair and his chest heaves for a few seconds longer.
Then, he's gone.

It didn't seem fair and while she knew logically that he'd be back she'd always have this memory: the pain on Savir's face, Tony's anger, Rude's command. Everything was perfectly preserved in her memory.
Airy continued to remain in place as the shock faded and the sadness took hold. It felt like a knife twisting in her chest but she tried to swallow her own feelings and be strong. Even still, she couldn't stop the steady flow of tears.
