2nd Show; Video

[Yashiro’s video feed starts up and he’s sitting at the table in the dining area of his apartment. He has a cup of tea sitting next to him and a script on the table next to that.]

Throughout my entire life, I have devoted myself entirely to the performing arts.
[He takes a small sip of his tea before speaking again.]

Perfecting each skill that I could was necessary to become a true artist. I have met a few others here that have musical talent. However, I am curious. How many others here have talent in similar fields of performing? Acting, singing, dance and the like.

[That is just something he’s been wondering for a while now.]

Another question. What is it that people typically do with their free time?

[Crystal finds it cute that he mentioned that he's worked through his entire life. She wonders what that means, he looks young though like her own features it could easily be misleading.

When she flicks on the video she's smiling warmly, the expression seeping into her eyes and making the blue orbs almost appear to be glowing with the expression.]

I'm in a similar field and I've practiced through my whole life as well though I suspect through different means. [Her voice is silky and sweet as she continues.] Singing first and then I went onto Acting, modeling and a few other practices of the arts.

Is there any particular reason why you are asking?

I'm aware of the skills that you have, though I wasn't aware of what your progression was of obtaining them. I've taken it upon myself to familiarize myself with the other talent at Fama in case we are tasked with working together.

Curiosity and to help me gauge what others do to past the time so I can find something similar for myself.

I will happily tell you about myself if you tell me about you. For a start, I began taking singing lessons when I was six. [She won't say why she took lessons.]

Acting wasn't until middle school. [At that time she'd do anything to avoid home.] I was ten. Drawing, painting and other artist outlets began around that time as well. [It's when she had been able to make a little bit of money to buy herself supplies.]

When I was sixteen I moved to New York and began studying full time. [She never finished High School.] I would tell you how long but that would give away my age. [Which is only twenty seven but still.]

[That seemed fare. She was giving him information about herself, he could do the same.]

I was born into acting. My Father was a man of unparalleled acting talent and was regarded as one of the greatest of all time. [Even Yashiro regards him as such.]

He taught me from an early age the skills of the craft and pushed me to be far better and greater than him. With that goal in my heart, I set to perfecting the skill of acting, whether it was on camera or on a stage.

To further grow as an artist, I eventually expanded my skill-set to singing, with some songwriting. And then modeling.

Aaah no wonder Yashiro-chan is so good! Ibuki is honoured to know such a talent.

As for free time...Ibuki plays games or goes for a walk...which also becomes a game when Ibuki gets lost. Or pretty much whatever's fun is what Ibuki does.

[Beat.]

Except for music. That's fun but that's work so it's not free time.

You should take a map or some sort of tracking device for those situations. [Getting lost didn't really sound all that fun to him.]

Games seem to be one of the more normal ways of spending ones free time, but I have never tried any myself. [He's seen that some look comparable to movies.]

I believe some would say you are one of the fortunate few that have been able to turn their passion into a job.

[Gasp. Mega-gasp! Never tried games? Well we'll see about that!]

Ibuki totally has to take you gaming sometime! Especially when we have so many options for where to go!

[Ah, but that fortune though...]

Well...that might be true. But Ibuki probably wouldn't be much good at anything else. Ibuki has never really had to think about what she'd be when she grows up.

[If she grows up, but still. Apparently some of the sentiment bred by Hope's Peak still lingers even now.]

I'm not certain that I will be any good. [Having never played, he wouldn't know the first thing about playing some games. Unless they were ridiculously simple.]

You never know unless you seek to see what you can be good at. If I never would have attempted anything outside of acting, I wouldn't have become a musician or model. You could have talent inside of you that you aren't aware of.

Read, wander, think, walk and walk pets, visit and talk with friends or strangers, satisfy curiosity, exercise, and so on.

You just walk up to strangers and start a random conversation?

No, the talk is always specific and definite. That is, about something. Can you even have a conversation with words at random?

That would depend entirely on what you bring up. For instance, an offhanded comment about the weather could lead to a random conversation about something else.

I'm a rock star. I sing, I play guitar... I'm pretty decent on drums.

Free time? Lately, I drink.

[She makes the third female guitarist that he's encountered. The only one that he knows of that plays the drums, though.]

A rock star. What were you or your band called? [He assumes they must have had a name.]

Drinking doesn't seem like it would be the best use of one's time.

For years it was 'Priss and the Replicants', then we changed it to Sekiria. That was on my world, though. I haven't named the new one here yet.

The 'best use' of one's time is an overrated concept. It gets the job done.

So you continue on as a musician here? Perhaps you should name your group, otherwise it may be difficult to build a sufficient fanbase. [Unless everyone just decides to call it "Priss's Band" and remembers them that way.]

I suppose if your goal is just to become inebriated, then yes, it would. Is there a reason why you would prefer doing that above anything else?

I have a part time job at a cafe, but I seem to have picked up reading about history.

Meeting new people is a nice pastime as well.

I never would have considered meeting new people as a pastime. [Since it's just something you would do naturally.]

What history are you learning about?

Ah, but there's so much to learn away from the beaten path.

Though I do admit, I used to have a habit of avoiding people before too long.

I'm actually learning about the history of this very place. So far though, there are far more questions than answers.

Spending times with friends, but you can also play games with friends... But that's mostly it.

[This little 13 year old girl knows what it's like to be curious. While she doesn't find her hobbies interesting, she answered anyway.]

"I can ballroom dance. Sometimes, I will sing when I am alone. ...or at least try to.

I like to read and talk to friends. When I am not doing either, I go exploring and learn as much as I can."

[He couldn't say he was too surprised that someone as young as her might know how to ballroom dance. He did at her age.]

If you want to better perfect singing, you may wish to obtain a coach.

It is starting to seem like exploring is a common thing for people to do as a pastime. [Talking to people as well.]

"Exploring is fun. I met my best friend this way."
