So. It is true. People disappear from this place just as suddenly as they arrive. Gone without even the chance to say goodbye.

*That is all Sonico will say. It's an observation, one she should have probably made anon, but she is far too exhausted to remember*

Action Option

*Meanwhile, at the bar, the one she used to go to with the people who have now left, Sonico is silently nursing a peach flavoured beer. To anyone who knows Sonico, it's clear she lacks her usual energy and that air she has of being so keen to please. To anyone who doesn't know her, she's just a girl sitting on her own at a bar in front of an empty bottle*

Sonico-chan? What happened? Who's missing?

[Ibuki's use of video is actually deliberate this time: she wants a glimpse at where Sonico is so she can go find her. That it's less effort than text is a happy bonus.

She knows this happens, of course. She remembers Nagisa mentioning his friend leaving. But knowing that doesn't really help.]

Oh boo, hoo.

[And yes that was sarcastic. She didn't actually care all that much.]

This is why having friends is lame.

Yeah... that's true.

[ Konoka is just as somber as Sonico. Though she didn't know everyone, she *did* know someone mutually. She kinda wished she could have a stiff drink. ]

It's sort of a painful reality... so you have to make the time you spend with everyone count.

I suppose maybe it is.

*Seriously, Sonico feels so far from able to fight about this right now*

*Sonico is sure that Konoka must be feeling Crystal's absence too, though she isn't sure how well they knew each other*

Maybe. I'm just not so sure what to think. Work won't be the same without Crystal.

*Sonico really, really does want to video post, but it's Ibuki, and she doesn't want to appear rude to her friend. So she switches to video, exahusted and pale as she is right now*

*Sonico bites her lip and lowers her eyes, remembering how important it is to keep herself together despite how dry her throat feels*

And Terrance.

I know, and it really sucks. :(

[ Konoka seemed to withdraw from Video on the basis of Sonico's reply. It was so hard to look at, and she missed Crystal too, she was about to cry. ]

*Sonico did feel a little bad for hiding behind text instead of video - maybe that was selfish. Still...it was easier this way*

It really, really, really sucks ;;

There was a small sound next to Sonico, a familiar woman sitting up on the bar stool next to her. It was probably the first Sonico had seen the woman out of uniform since after work she tended to change from her waitress attire right into a traditional maid uniform. Needless to say the black shirt with white cuffs and pinstripes paired with the black skirt suited her quite nicely.

"Martinez. With blue curacao please."

Only then did she look over at Sonico. She didn't say anything, just resting her arms on the bar, watching the bartender work on her drink. She wasn't exactly the best conversationalist, as Sonico well knew from work, but she was there now.

Are you all right? Can you tell me what happened?

*Seeing his concern only makes Sonico more determined to stay in text to hide her own expression*

People left. All at once. I suppose it's just one of thise things that can happen here...

Any of us could disappear without warning.

If they come back, they likely won't remember being here before. ;;

[His face falls at the news.]

I'm sorry. I know firsthand just how painful that can be.

Would you like to come over to my place? Or I could visit you at yours.

[Athrun had help when it happened to him. People came to visit him or pick him up. He hopes he can do the same thing for Sonico.]

It sucks so bad I want to forget about it. I vote we drown our sorrows in ice cream.

[ Because sake is hard to come by and age of alcohol is a little fuzzy in genessia... right? The party had to be an exception. ]

Oh man, a three-hit-combo, that's the worst.

[And this is why she wanted video. Because she can just about make out some of the background and if she looks long enough she might figure out if she's seen it before and where.]

Well. Ibuki's not going anywhere. So if you need anything, Sonico-chan, you know who you're gonna call.

[She's not sure if Sonico will get the reference or not; even with that lighter turn towards the end, Ibuki's tone is all seriousness right now.]

They could leave this world without saying good-bye? That is very sad. Especially the friends they leave behind.

[ on the other side of the bar sits hawke, halfway to utterly shitfaced as he downs another beer of his own. no peach for him, just straight up nasty piss-water. ah, reminds him of home.

he saw sonico sit down at some point, didn't really think much of it and continued as he was - chatting up the bartender because his friends had apparently abandoned him. rude. it's a while later that he looks over and sees her still there, still nursing that beer and looking downright dejected. he knows he shouldn't interfere, but hawke is - despite valiant efforts - incapable of staying out of other people's business. and she's clearly upset about something. ]

I hate being a good person. [ he mutters to himself, motioning to the bartender to bring him two of whatever sonico is having. once he receives the bottles, he moves over to stand beside her, offering one. ]

Hey. [ he motions to the empty bottle in front of her. ] Won't do you much good if it's empty.

[Fai stretched slightly he was glad for the break, leaving some of the not major work to those he hired to help, natives who cared for there city. But now he could do such a thing, he was able to go out more and go to bars like he use to.

Sitting down, he played with the wine, swirling it slightly before looking over.]

You know, looking at a empty bottle won't help.

I assume it's happened to you. Sorry that it has happened. I've not heard from a couple of my friends as well and it's a horrible feeling.

*Sonico again nods her head, slowly and heavily. Ibuki could probably just make out the sofa that Sonico was sitting on, hinting that she was more than likely at home in her apartment. She glances up at the end of what Ibuki says, her face showing that she recognises that phrase from somewhere, but she does seem to be wondering where... Still, she appreciates the sentiment and slowly just nods her head yet again*

Too much icecream too quickly would hurt... I don't mind drowning my sorrows in chocolate and cake, though.

*Since probably alcohol wouldn't be such a great idea right now anyway*

I am sorry that you do. This isn't a pleasant feeling at all.

For now I'm just too tired to leave my new apartment, but you're welcome to visit if you decide that you would like to. I wouldn't want to be an inconvenience.

Every so often, Sonico would look up from what she was doing to glance around the room, perhaps even slightly hoping that she'd see a familiar face. Maybe even one who had left and come back... She does recognise the woman next to her, of course, and she wonders how long her work friend had been sitting there, and hopes that she doesn't think Sonico has been rude.

"I'm sorry. If I'd known you would be here I would have suggested leaving together after work..."

I'd like to believe that if they had the chance they might have come to say goodbye before going...
