16: Relapse (Open Action for Nova City, Text)
A. Action
[ As much as she's progressed, there are still some things that don't change.
Once again Adela has woken up in a cold sweat, and after a sigh she ends up getting dressed and going out. Not without leaving a note for Smoker and Tashigi first, but this time she doesn't take her dog with her. This time, she wants to go out alone.
With some time on the trains and some walking, Adela is in the bright night of Nova City, looking around absently as she walks through the city. Maybe she'll slip into a bar for a bite to eat, maybe she'll wander aimlessly, but either way it's late at night even in the well-lit city. It gets her mind off of more terrible things at any rate. ]
B. Text
[ Some time near two in the morning, Adela ends up just sending a text to the network, hoping for an answer that will at least satisfy her. ]
For those of you in Nova City, how do you pass the time at night? I find myself unable to sleep and wish to keep myself otherwise occupied for now.

Very well, I will take your advice and keep my eyes up. When should I expect you here?
no subject
[All told, it'll take him about ten minutes. And when he does show up, he'll be jumping down from off the roof of the planetarium in front of her.]
no subject
[ Not that she gets an answer apparently, and she jumps and shrieks briefly before taking in who just appeared next to her and taking a breath. ]
Nehra, Namur you startled me... Just where did you come from?
no subject
[Duh.]
Sidewalks is overrated. Only take 'em when there ain't good places t' jump or when I'm strollin' 'long with someone. Have any trouble?
no subject
[ She lets out a nervous laugh at her own stupid joke. Please don't judge her too harshly Namur. ]
You wished to go dancing? I cannot promise any elegance from me, but I would be willing to try.
no subject
Been practicin' what I taught y' the other day?
no subject
[ She takes his hand, pulling herself to her feet a moment later. ]
I have not exactly had the chance -- Trafalgar insisted that I "take it easy" until later, even if I am allowed to walk about now.
no subject
[Namur shrugs.]
Anyway, guess shit'd work differnt for y' now either way. Don't worry, I won't be judgin' y'. Sheheheh!

I must wonder if you are awake for the same reason I am, though I understand if you would rather not say if it truly is that.
text;
Better than I was before, though.

Though we seemed to have done it in different way.

If it is not too hard to talk about, may I ask of how you are doing with your leg Yugi?

I have started to walk again at this point -- I have healed enough from my surgery to allow it at this point. It is not the exercise I am used to, but it certainly is a wonderful feeling.

Thank you for speaking with me as well. I am truly grateful for that, Yugi - for your friendship and kindness towards me.

It has helped take my mind away from other things, actually. I think I might return home soon.

It's two in the morning and this text show up on the network. Rolling his eyes. Kids.
His alias will show up as "Mr.Baskerville" and on her network, his avatar is shown as a cute black labrador puppy. He created a new account to mask his identity (reason is work-related) due to his previous fuck up on his introduction post to the network.]
How about going to bed for a start?
text
I tried earlier. If I were able to sleep now, believe me I would.
text
I would count sheep, but perhaps you tried that already.
[Or in Alucard's case, the sheep were long eaten by wolves.]
text
Unless you have some solution that can quell terrible nightmares to help me sleep, I cannot for now.
text
[Okay, the derp suggestion explains his cute puppy avatar...some...what.]
text
I do own a dog, and normally he does help. Unfortunately it does not always.
Sleeping pills and alcohol sounds like a terrible combination however, and not one I am willing to try.
I thank you regardless. I will try to find something that works for me.
text
Oh? What kind of breed is he and how old is he?
text
The person I live with has a dog as well, I believe a mixed breed? You would have to ask him about it.
text
She is quite right. He agreed. He's an ugly, horrid bastard, inside and out. At times. That's why he found humans fascinating. They have a lot of nerves and cheek.]
I tend to like labradors and beagles. Good hunting dogs.
[Anyways, this is a break and all, but he ran out of time for chit-chat.]
I have to go back to work. I hope you're home and not out here. It's get dangerous at night.
[He found that ironic, because he's a monster that hunts at night, and he's the dangerous one here.]
text
Good luck with your work, Mr. Baskerville.
