... He... hello?

[Thats... a terribly awkward sounding greeting. There isn't anything on the screen for a moment, just the sound of shuffling, cloth rubbing, metal clinking...

And then, a face. A little face, the lenses of its eyes mismatched in size. It... looks like a striped doll, little pen nib fingers nervously poking at the screen ]

Hello? Hello. ... I see you.

[Apparently, he's poking at the red recording light. Like he assumes the device is alive.]

Go... go back to sleep... shhh... shhh please...

[The vampire has been terribly busy as of late. He has a surprise event in store for the residents of the city. Call it his welcome gift. The vampire has a secret guilt to be some sort of flamboyant with heft in his ways, but he kept it hush hush. So he's out at night, not so much taking a stroll, but walking briskly.

It was then he noticed the other being. After all, the being known as 6 is easy to miss by other people, being a size of a doll as oppose to Alucard's impressive height of 6 feet and a half inches. With Six fiddling down at his communication device.

To Six, Alucard is a red dressed giant with such an intense aura of darkness around him.]

Hey. Hey there. Hello. You're not good with your phone now, are you?

[It was safe to say that 6 probably felt Alucard coming before he even saw him face to face, a chill bristling through the little doll in fear as he tried to upend his much larger communicator so he couldn't be watched by it.

Good theory, but not really what was going to save him from a scare tonight. He'd misjudged where the vampire was.

The little doll jumped, and immediately tried to bolt for the bushes in a panic, never really answering the question.

Rude, 6 ]

[Hey now, the vampire king isn't in the mood to be rude or mean. The residents here...they have a bit of an effect on him, but he just want to see...more of their capabilities, and his event is going test that.

He walked closer, his boots step lightly over the cement like a silent walk of a cat, and he pulled the bush away to find where 6 is hiding. It's no good to hide from the vampire, since the vampire is accustomed to hunt monsters, humans, and large animals in the darkness pitch of night.]

Hey. Hey kid. No use to run. It's dangerous at night, you know. Do you know where you are or where you going?

[Not that 6 is edible for anyone in this town.]

[...A doll. A talking one. He has to know.]

"Ah, heh heh, hello! Welcome to Genessia! May I have your name, please?"

[Well it looked like this tiny doll was only capable of being scared out of his mind and hiding. Currently, anyway. And he wasn't even that good at hiding considering how fast the vampire caught up to him.

The little creature is backed into the bush, wrapped around the innermost lower branches of it and trying to huddle away, his stare a mixture of confusion, terror and fascination.

That... was not a machine.

That... Was dead. Was immobilely so at home, but 6 knew he was staring at a corpse.]

No.

No. No no. No.

Goodbye.

[IT TALKED.

And the doll bolts, hiding for a moment... Until he realizes the communicator doesn't chase him.

Then the striped creature sneaks back, reaching to tap at the screen and flinch away, before sticking his face back into view.]

Name.

Hello? I... um... Six.

Six.

Ah? But Ibuki isn't tired. Ibuki wasn't even asleep before.

[She's also going to poke the screen in return because hey, she's never talked to a living doll before but she doesn't want to seem culturally ignorant and maybe poking the screen that's important.]

[How peculiar, very peculiar indeed as the vampire examined this doll. Not quite alive, with no blood, nerves, brain, and yet quite alive, as the vampire can see it's soul, a distinct energy...yet incomplete soul?

Yet the vampire knew some things are best left to be.]

Fine. I won't pry. But if you see some humans, it's better for you to go to them for help. Some of them are...helpful.

[He closed up the bush to leave Six alone.]

[He nobly restrains his full curiosity]

Huh! Curious name. Is it part of a sequence of sorts, or...?

[A shard of a soul. One ninth a man hiding in the bushes, his mismatched lenses staring at Alucard as if the devil himself had suddenly appeared before him. There was horror in that expression, though the vampire had never quite given the doll a reason to be so scared of him.

[Is this a thing now? He pokes the screen as she does, as if he's trying to touch her fingers back]

[Alucard is about to leave him, but his sharp vampire hearing heard him. Plus, he maybe a heartless bastard, but...not completely. That is to say, he has changed a lot considering where he came from.

And quite honestly, a part of him don't really want to leave him there. There's hellhounds and nocturnal stray cats that wandered at night, and might see Six as a chew toy.

[He'd half followed him. Stuck his head from the bushes to stare at him for a moment, only to shrink back as the vampire returned.]

[If there is one thing Alucard is never good at? It's patience. Especially with child like personalities. The nervous and hesitance reminds him of Seras when she was a derplina before draculina.]

All right. What are you talking about? I sense you're a fragment of something. The others, are you talking about your kin that are just like you?

I'm Alucard and you're in shit-town called Everglade. Honestly, I probably not very good at being the welcome committee, but hey, you're here.

[Thing is 6 ain't never gonna outgrow that derp. But... He is very aware that he's not good with words, and there's a dismal look of miserably familiarity on his face for a moment.

Anyway, I can't leave you here. Besides the hell dogs and hell cats, there's a lot of punks in this town that is out looting and murdering in this town.

Come with me, I'll give you a place to stay for the night. If you stay in the bushes, you'll get bitten by the feral animals as their toy.

[With that looooong arm, and big hand, he picked up Six by the scruff of his neck to have him sit on the palm of his hand and lift the small being up, to put him inside of his coat pocket on the front chest, so Six has a nice view of everything at 6ft high up.]

[He points to himself, and then to the number written on his back in an elegant hand.

Then, one pen nib finger is directed at Alucard]

Vlad.

Dracula.

[He'd add in the prince if he understood what that title was, but at the moment his feet were off the ground and he was scrabbling to find purchase on anything, terrified out of his tiny little mind for a full minute before he was deposited in a pocket on Alucard's shirt.

... Oh.

Well then.]

... Going?

It's Alucard. [The vampire shrugged.] I don't care of my past lives. But technically yeah, used to be Vlad and Dracula. No one cares.

Well! Yes, we're going.

[And Six left his little box containing his pendant and starter money on the ground before he ran, so Alucard picked that up too, and gave it to him.]

You should wear the pendant if you ever want to leave and visit the other cities. The money, you need to buy whatever you want.

[And off they go, strolling through the block. Fortunately it's going to be a quiet night, and Alucard don't have to break the necks of violent muggers, crazed vampire teenagers punks, and drug addicts that hide in the corner.]

Well, lucky us, no punks to bother us for the night.

Oh, ah, nine of what? Dolls? Er, if that's what you are, I mean. I know one or two girls who are pretty familiar with the subject.

[THe 'new' name just seemed to soar over 6's head]

[Like Alucard hadn't been spoken. The money was too big for tiny little 6, but the pendant was conveniently ring sized. At least it would be able to fit around his neck]

[He didn't need to eat, and sleep wasn't necessary either. He could hide inside any house he pleased-

Yeah, little teenage shits that will hide in the alley, ready to slit open a throat for crack, money, or blood. Whatever gives them the most desperate high.

[And where they're going? Well, to his room in the Everglade Inn, which is much cheaper than most cities. But yeah, that's where he's currently staying as a makeshift apartment. So yeah, inside the inn they go, then up the elevator, and then to his room where there's a makeshift fireplace where it just poofs up fire by magic, but hey it keeps the room warm.]

All right, you can stay here for as long as you want if you got no place to go. I don't mind a room mate. The city isn't so bad in the daytime, but nighttime, that's where the crazies come out.

[He took Six out of his pocket and place him from a far distance away from the fireplace, but Six can feel the warmth. Alucard is going to get the extra pillow and blanket from the closet just for him.]
