[A few days ago, Chiaki had decided that maybe she would try the Dream Docks and see what her future had in store for them, maybe find out some answers as to why she remembers one thing while they remember another. They had been on an island with someone they said was probably her. So she was sure she would see it. She had hope in that.
However what she actually saw was not as hopeful as she had expected. In fact it was more despair inducing. than she would have thought. When she had woken up, she had panicked, the last memories she had settling into her head and the young woman quickly scrambling up and out of the pod only to be stopped for a moment to explain something.
But she didn't want to listen to the dock technicians explain that something malfunctioned and that whatever fatal injury there was were gone and the only thing remaining was a scar where the injuries were. All she wanted to do was get out of that building, try and make sense of what she saw. She had been told that she had been on that island as well... But from what she knew... She knew that wasn't the case.
Then just... who was that Chiaki? As she scrambled out of the building and into the city she tried her best to keep walking, even if her mind was trying to think of other things. The more she thought about it, the more upset she got. They don't remember her, the Chiaki they knew was not her, but another... Could she even call them her friends because of that? Her eyes glanced over to the apartment building she was getting closer and closer to. She figured going home was the best bet. So she started to move, making her way back home and shaking her head slightly, trying her best to push back whatever it was she was feeling for the time being.]

[When Chiaki had gotten back she had come to find a window was broken somehow. So she switched on the feed once she was feeling okay and pointed to toward the broken object.]
I just came back today to find my window broken... Does anyone know what happened?
[She had gone to move in closer as soon she found herself stepping on a newspaper. Glancing down the feed showed it clearly, more so with the glass on it.]
So... Does that mean this newspaper was the cause?
[She knelt down to pick it up. She still wasn't showing her face as she moved it toward the side picking it up. Looked like she had a lot of work to do, but she paused.]
If my friends are watching, can I speak to you please... I could also use to speak to those I have met here. I would appreciate it anyway.

[Though then something else comes to mind. Ibuki's been pretty busy, which is why she maybe hasn't been paying quite as much attention as she might.]

I went to... the Dream Docks they call it. I wanted to check the out.

[And...okay. Ibuki only vaguely knows about the Dream Docks so she's not quite sure where she's going with this except:]
Oh? Kind of like a vacation within a vacation? Ibuki wondered what that must be like.

[Because she knows she would need to ask the landlord to replace it and that mean having to pay more for the next month... At least that is what she thought anyway.]
I... guess that is a way to put it, but more going home via a dream and seeing what your future might be.

[Way to tempt fate there, Ibuki.
And oh. What the future might be. Would be nice to think there was a point to that but Ibuki's not even sure what she'd get.]
Oh...huh. So...does that mean you're caught up with me and Nagito-chan?
[Not that they're even both at the same point but they're both still ahead of Chiaki, last Ibuki can remember.]

[In her gut, Ibuki knows that's probably not it. Chiaki's not looking at her and not just because they're on video. It just doesn't make sense to her because she knows Chiaki was with her on the island and even if she'd never catch up with Nagito, Chiaki had been alive last Ibuki remembers which means she should at least probably be able to catch up to her.]

With what I remember there would have been no way for me to have gone any further.
[She at least new that. More than aware of it now. But it did make her wonder other things, like would anyone else find her? Or would she still physically have been there, alone.]

[Well, crap. Ibuki's fresh out of ways to work around this one because she knows what that means. It's why she's never bothered to think about the possible future before now because she's always assumed she doesn't have one.
And it shows. Her expression drops, horror and sympathy mixed with confusion because none of this is adding up.]
But...Ibuki knows you were alive last she remembers. Or someone with the same name and appearance and personality was.

I don't have a twin, so I know that isn't a possibility, but that Chiaki is not me. [She paused for a moment, her eyes looked like they were starting to well up.] But I don't mind... At least... some version of me was still with you all.

[Chiaki getting upset is only causing Ibuki to get more upset herself, not least because she's drawing some dark conclusions. They'd discussed "Byakuya" being the traitor but now Ibuki's wondering why there'd be a different Chiaki and she's not coming up with any answers that are good.
But moodmaker she is even now, so she has to at least try to reassure her friend.]
It's okay. Even if you're not the same one, you're still Ibuki's friend. Even if Ibuki never remembers the stuff you remember, that won't change.

[Yep, serious!Ibuki is out in force. Just as she'd sought to try to help Hajime appreciate what he still had rather than what he'd lost, here she wants to try to encourage Chiaki away from whatever brought them to this confusion now.
Just because she had an idea of what happened doesn't mean they have to get into the gritty details.
And that means distraction, of a sort she's pretty sure will work.]
So. How about we go hit up Johnny-chan's arcade and game those blues away?

Just... There's a couple if things I might have done differently. Maybe. You know? Then there's little things I didn't appreciate much, and being away from it makes me want to see it again.
[More so, he was wistful because he would never get the opportunity to see it again.]
