[Solo Log / Video]
Lust listened, reclining on one hand where she sat on the edge of the bed with a glass of wine in the other. And the necromancer would not shut up about his cunning plan. She sipped, and despite her hidden irritation, she did listen. He'd found some teenage girl wandering in Fayren, killed her and took her necklace, and thus was able to raise orc zombies that he could trot into Everglade. Orcs were much larger and nastier than the human undead he could have raised, he pointed out, and she inclined her head to indicate that she heard and approved.
Even if she couldn't care less.
She was accustomed to this kind of rambling. Sometimes the most taciturn of men popped the cork that kept them silent when given a chance to brag to a beautiful woman.
The wine in her glass sloshed over the edge as he abruptly rushed toward her, seizing her hand and clasping it tight in both of his. Oh?
"I never thought to meet a lady such as you," the spindly elf whispered, silver hair spilling over his slim shoulders as he bent over her hand to kiss it with cold lips. "I tell you these things, and yet you do not flinch, and propose nothing about mending my ways. Never had I thought to meet a soul that resonates so soundly with mine!"
"You flatter me," she purred, setting her glass aside and giving her dark hair a light shake. "But I do have a proposition."
To her surprise, his face soured, despite the sexual inflection she'd put into her words. He didn't retreat however, nor did he release her hand.
"I know."
Lust regarded him with an arched brow. "Do you now...?"
"Aye. You didn't come here because you wished it. You came on the command of another, mm? To persuade me to join forces, to lend my power to his cause. It is a 'he' is it not?"
Lust didn't reply.
"Of course it's a 'he.' And you are here to persuade me. My lady, you are most persuasive. So I shall keep you. Wouldn't you like to reign as queen?" He lifted one hand to brush a lock of ebony hair from her brow. "Whoever he is, he doesn't deserve you. But I..." She heard a soft whisper of steel, just before the dagger plunged into her heart. "I would worship you."
Lust's breath caught in her throat, a trickle of blood leaking from the corner of her lips. He leaned in, mouth pursed to kiss away the crimson stain. But he didn't make it. It was a little difficult when he was skewered clean through from the lances on her fingertips. Lust didn't smile as she rose smoothly to her feet. Her other hand rose to yank out the dagger and toss it away idly.
She regarded the slumped elf with a cool, merciless gaze. "I don't need your worship. The offer has been rescinded." Her sharp fingertips retracted sharply, and he dropped to the floor with a wet cough as the life faded from his eyes. Lust picked up the wineglass and sipped from it. What a disappointing creature. 'M' wouldn't be pleased, but so be it. Sometimes she succeeded, sometimes she failed.
Still...she regarded the dying necromancer. One more flick of a finger to remove his head, then she was satisfied. It would have been troublesome if he were to rise from the dead. Besides, it was easier to retrieve his gold necklace this way.
I'm sure few of you remember or care, but the necromancer has been taken care of. I'm not certain which unfortunate soul used the necklace he had confiscated, so I've returned it to the city's lost and found.
[Lust smiles, just a light curve of her dark lips.]
And if any of you do remember, it's of little matter to me. I expect no gratitude.

A necromancer? Are you referring to that skeleton person?
[ voice ]
I take it you're speaking of Skeletor. No, he is not a necromancer. He has powerful magic, but it's not specialized in death.
[He's also a fool, in her opinion, but she keeps that to herself. M might still want to recruit Skeletor, and she'd rather her messages not get hacked or overheard by a henchman.]
This man was an elf.
[ voice ]
What is an 'elf?'
[ voice ]
[ voice ]
[ That we know of, anyway.
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, HIRO.][ voice ]

[Including herself. She just doesn't care all that much. It's not like she can be killed in this world.]
However, few can claim to be of two worlds. What were they like?
[ voice ]
Exsilium was a world I was brought to against my will, much like this one. It was a dystopia ruled by a tyrannical government that oppressed its own citizens.
It showed me that human nature is constant, even across dimensional boundaries.

[She smiles. Interesting. Someone like this might prove useful, particularly if he can learn alchemy.]
I wonder if you couldn't learn alchemy, the scientific art of my world.
[ voice ]
[ He thinks for a moment. ]
I've already dedicated much of my early life to mastering the Black Arts of Magic. Would this 'alchemy' be helpful at all?
[ voice ]
It isn't easy, as you might imagine.

[ voice ]
Why are you telling me this?
[ voice ]
Because you asked, and I knew the answers. If you wish to study alchemy, I can provide instruction as well as the proper texts. But it requires a great deal of patience and intelligence to learn.

[ voice ]
Regardless, the choice is yours. It makes little difference to me if you wish to learn or not. You may not even have the aptitude.
[ voice ]
What I still don't understand is how alchemy will help me.
