Costume Party

WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.
WARNINGS: None.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Fake cobwebs and skeleton decorations hung up among the many other different types of Halloween decorations. It took several hours to get it all decorated, but there was a decent amount of help in doing so. A DJ (Who is wearing a big bear costume) has been hired to handle the music to get people in a dancing mood.

The genre of music ranges over all types, but there was some Halloween themed music sprinkled in there to just set the mood when no one was hitting the dance floor. The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start.

There is a minor police presence with GCPD staked out at the entrance way that leads toward the event space.






Refreshments Table

The refreshment table has many things to satisfy your sweet tooth with, many different kinds of cupcakes, fruit cups, lots of different types of cookies, caramel apple bites, brownies. There are plates and such at each end of the table as well as napkins. The catering service will constantly be refreshing the table as it gets low on food.

There are even many Halloween themed drinks. There are more traditional party items like fruit platters and the like scattered among all of the delectable food as well. There is a bar set up along one of the walls in the room with a bartender standing behind it for those looking for a more alcoholic type of beverage.





Tables/Balconies

The tables among the ground floor and the balconies have all been decorated in a similar manner as the rest of the place with Halloween themed tablecloths on each table. There are small electronic, battery powered candles on each table. There is no actual flame on it, instead it is just a light shaped to look like one.



Dance Floor

The dance floor doesn't have anything spectacular different about it. There is a small, light fog that coats it thanks to a fog machine just on the outside of it. Lights are hung above it to be used when the lights in the place go dim. The fog isn't so thick that you can't see your own feet, though.

[This time, Karla opted for a simple black dress for Halloween. It was light and easy to move around in just in case something happened. And of course, her sword was sheathed at her side, as she never went anywhere without it.]

[When she wasn't over at the snacking tables, she was on the dance floor, just dancing alone to the music, stepping back and forth and waving her arms elegantly in random directions. She may look silly dancing alone like this, but she's just feeling so good right now.]

[Halloween was a completely new thing for Liora. So she decided to come and investigate what this party was about.]

[The event space was elegant, the music sounded like fun to dance to (if only she could dance). There was all kinds of snacks...but sadly no insects. The scary thing was the people, all dressed up as all kinds of monsters and other things. Scary things. And Liora was scared of scary things...]

[Come help her to not be scared? Or scare her even more?]

Adela | Open

[ It's thanks to a certain Strawhat Pirate that Adela is even attending the party in the first place. It's also thanks to him that she's dressed up as a pirate captain for the occasion, even if she still doesn't fully understand Halloween.

Throughout the event Adela will be wandering around, occasionally seating herself at one of the tables and busying herself with looking around at the various costumes the people around her wore. It's interesting to say the least, and before she's even aware of it she's wearing a smile, intent on simply enjoying herself throughout the event.

Chances are she won't be allowed to wallflower the whole time, and although she'll only approach her friends or acquaintances of her own volition she will at least try to make conversation with those who approach her. It's at least clear that she's more comfortable than she was at the masquerade at the end of summer, at any rate. ]

Anastasia || Open

[Ever since the night of fireflies ball, Anastasia has been looking forward to the next party. She had a couple of costumes picked out already, but she had already worn one of them. So the only remaining choice was to dress up as her pokemon, Sylveon. Complete with a pink wig so her natural blonde hair doesn't clash with the rest of the outfit.

Anastasia can be found at the refreshment tables or the dance floor. Feel free to join her. but don't throw any pokeballs at her. Those hurt.]

[Pidonus had been interested in the Halloween party for a little while, and when she heard that it was coming, she'd done some research, acquired a costume... And showed up at the party in a showy Playboy Bunny-like outfit, with showy coattails, fishnets, and simple heeled shoes, using a bit of magic to keep her magic items hidden in a magic pocket just in case... Along with several more bunny outfits in various sizes. She was definitely considering talking a few ladies into dressing in something more to her show-offy preferences, if she had the chance.

But she wasn't pushing it - instead traveling freely around the party, often hitting the refreshments tables and going up around the balconies to try and run into people who she either knew, or who looked alone to chat with. She was determined to enjoy the evening, even if she didn't use her powers even once...]

[ Oh Nehra she's blushing just looking at Pidonus.

Normally other peoples' clothing choices don't bother her, but when it's something so attention-grabbing as... That, Adela can't help staring briefly. She knows she's red-faced and she has to look away soon enough, pulling the brim of her hat low over her eyes because it's just too much for her.

Hopefully she can walk away and pretend like she never saw the other, but it likely isn't going to be that easy. Her luck is never that good. ]

*Sonico was looking forward to the Halloween party - it was a holiday she enjoyed and, for once, she didn't seem to have to do any real modelling work. Her agency had, however, suggested a costume, and so Sonico attended as <a href="https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/419wNgcI51L._SY300_.jpg">SnowWhite</a>.

At the start of the evening, Sonico is admiring all the various party decorations, just wandering around the beautiful space. Later on, she will be drifting around the refreshments table for snacks or an exciting Halloween cocktail. She goes nowhere near the dance floor, just watches from a distance, always keeping herself on the edge of all the major excitement*

[Of course it's not so easy to scoot away. Pidonus practically has a sixth sense for people going red around her, and by the time Adela's started to slip away, the succubus has walked right up to her.]

[Naturally, Pidonus went directly to the most flirtatious wording possible. However, she wasn't going to try using any of her unnatural charms. Yet, at least. ((OOC: Your choice if Pidonus will try that or not.))

The petite red head freezes, staring briefly before shaking her head. ]

[ She's trying to look anywhere except at Pidonus at that point, which is kind of hard to do seeing as she's right there but hey. ]

Oh...yes, I preferred something that's easy to move around in. And the sword is mine, not really part of the costume.

It helps to focus on the face if someone is dressed beyond your comfort zone. A few drinks can help, too, of course, but~

I assure you, I'm not the only one showing off this much here. It's a neat way to show off one's own self-confidence.

Hmm. Mobility, I guess. Though it is kind of sad to not take the chance to fully enjoy Halloween.

To come armed, as well... I mean, I have a magic item to keep my gear handy, but directly at your side and all, I'm kinda surprised the party security let you through.

[Parties like there are events Yang can get behind. The blonde is dressed up like a vampire as she walks into the party. Though she's dressed it up a bit with two golden bracelets around her wrists.

The blonde could be found everywhere and anywhere there was people, at the food tables, at the bar for a drink, or even on the dance floor dancing a groove. Anyone wanna say hello to the boisterous blonde?]

[ Can she be any more of a stuttering mess? It's still difficult for her to meet the other's eye, though Adela finally does try to do so after a bit. ]

[Pidonus slowly reached into... Seemingly nowhere, pulling out a small partial cloak and quickly, with a flourish, flipping it around herself to cover down to just below her chest.]

If this makes you more comfortable for a bit... I do keep some magical storage. One of the more useful tricks I've found over time.

Of course, this could be a good chance to step way out of your comfort zone, too. This may be my element, but I'm trying to get out of a comfort zone of my own in a larger sense, so...

[... Which Pidonus only just realized, since she often doesn't pay attention to the Guardian elections and such. Okay, so, be careful and don't get arrested, that's a good plan. Consider enchanting Karla to be more agreeable if needed.]

Simply that Halloween is a great chance to be who you normally aren't, in a sense. To escape the bonds of your reality, if only for a night. That's, in essence, what makes it different from the other parties around the year.

[ Ah? She blinks a little in disbelief, unsure of how Pidonus pulled that one off but not really complaining. It does seem to make her more comfortable though, and she nods to the other. ]

It... Could be, and truthfully what others wear should be none of my concern. That is their choice, after all. However, it is kind of you to take me into consideration.

Oh, and here I thought Halloween was just for scaring people. There are plenty of chances to escape the bonds of reality. It's not too often that I get to dance like this...

[ Adela, in all her pirate-costumed... Glory? Runs over to Yang, grinning from ear to ear as she sees the other. Something about the night just makes her feel more giddy than normal, whether it's because she's actually able to run around or because she's having fun at that party itself is up in the air. ]

Luffy | Open

[Loud clanking would be the first indication of Luffy's presence. Thanks to Adela, Luffy's Halloween costume is a fake knight's armor made of cheap metal, definitely not anything usable in any circumstance. Though strapped around his neck still is his ever-present straw hat.

The pirate is mostly going to be around the food table, eating and drinking what he can manage to get into his mouth. He's at least going to try and do it politely.]

[ She has to laugh at that, grinning just as widely at him before shaking her head. ]

I am afraid not, much of it is far too sweet for my liking. I would like to see if there is some meat or even some fruit here as well...

But nevermind that, how is your costume so far? I can fix it if it ends up breaking apart before the party is over.

Halloween party? You bet Konoka's there!

Konoka has opted to go for a more perky flavor, decked out in a frilly, idol-styled pink dress, replete with leg warmers and high heels. She's half tempted to open up a karaoke session, but is now just talking to the people she knows and exploring the huge space set aside for the party. Of course, that depends on if she avoids any drinks or not...
