[Waking up somewhere strange is not precisely a new experience for Soma, though this time at least he isn't lying on cobblestones. Still, this is only the second time this has ever happened to him, and he's really starting to hope it'll be the last. The introduction packet and its contents have been dutifully looked through, then stored in his seemingly bottomless coat pockets.]

[Blinking away a brief moment of sun-dazzle, he exits the bay and enters what, for all intents and purposes, looks like a perfectly normal city to him. Even the hologram greeting isn't all that bizarre, though he's never heard of the Schnee family or anything to do with this place.]

[Come meet the new arrival, folks! He's liable to give some of you quite the shock - there's a new Dracula in town.]

It's not your fault. I did say I didn't ask. But it's nice to meet you Soma. My name is Lenalee Lee, but Lenalee will do.

[Lenalee was doing her best to avoid people, thought it did make her think some people were just plain rude since they were moving. They were easy enough to avoid that way. When she had seen the other on his knees was enough to give the young woman an excuse to glare slightly.]

Hey, watch where your going next time! [She was yelling as the person was still walking away. Lenalee wa clear not amused.]

The nerve of some people. Are you okay?

[For his part, Soma doesn't seem too shaken by the experience. He manages to regain his footing easily enough, and though there was visible blood a moment ago... there's none left. The entire injury, in fact, seems to have repaired itself.]

I'll mend. Nothing hurt but my pride, and that was already on its last legs. [He smiles easily enough - it's rare to see someone getting mad for his sake.] Seriously, don't worry about it. This kind of crowd, I'm just lucky someone didn't manage to step on my hands in the process.

Already? Did something happen back home or something? [She paused slightly.]

Actually never mind, it was probably something that you wouldn't talk about. But this kind of crowd should still be respectful at least.

Getting yanked out of my home for the second time in as many years, when I'm supposed to be protected against stuff like that. I'll have to tell Yoko her wards aren't as effective as we hoped. [He's relaxed enough right now that even the push of the crowd isn't bothering him too much. Maybe coming here did somehow dampen his aura? Being treated like... just another person was like a balm for a wound he had forgotten was there.]

[Second time, she had to wonder what went on back at his home world to say something like that.]

So this was something you've been through before? If that is the case then those wards really aren't effective. But your here now and until whoever decides to take you home, your stuck here.

Something similar happened to me just about two years ago. It wasn't quite as far away as this place, but still - when something like that happens once, you try to take measures to prevent it happening again. And since I had one of the most powerful practicing witches on Earth helping with the wards, I had reasonable hopes of them sticking. Looks like they either didn't take... or there's someone much, much more powerful here. I hope you'll forgive me for saying that I don't think I'll be sleeping very peacefully for a while, knowing that.

No it's fine. If one is on edge sleep is actually really hard to do. So if you don't, it's normal. But as for the powerful thing... could always be a possibility since it must take a lot to bring this many people here.

It's even harder when the bed is unfamiliar. [He smiles a wry smile.] Well, I'll just have to get stronger, then. It won't be the first time, nor the last.

Well... There are places you can do that, I believe.
