[Action / Closed] Happy Home
Who: Bracken, Katze
What: Home sweet home
Where: Fayren Forest
When: Around the 28th
It had been a long time coming, but Bracken finally had a home. Or, at least, the beginnings of a home. He couldn't wait to show Katze, and it was probably the most excited he'd been taking Katze anywhere. He led him deep into the forest, where rays of sun were pouring through the branches and creating spotlights all over.
Not too far from the pond, he reached his chosen spot. Thus far there wasn't much. It was only one room, actually, and pretty much walls and a roof. Completely bare bones. It was a tree grown into a tree house - or at least a tree room, for a moment, with platforms circling up to it. He'd wanted the home to be high, so it was many stories in the air.
"Th-This is it!" He pulled Katze up, rushing to get to the top where the tree looked pregnant. It opened up into a, currently, completely empty room. But, even if it was empty, it was still about ten times the size of the little inn room they'd been staying in.
"I-It's not done yet, but... but we could start decorating the b-bedroom," he said as he walked in. He just hoped that Katze would like it. Katze was more of a big city boy than he was, but he hoped if he made a big enough, beautiful enough home that it would make him happy.

That's the first thing Berg Katze said once he saw the tree house. "I didn't expect it to be this big!" The pink nightmare says as he steps inside. The ethereal glow of this amazing forest honestly has Katze a little spellbound. He floats about curiously as Bracken gives him a thorough tour.
"Oh! That's the bedroom?! Ah! I want a huge closet." He yells as he hops down. Katze wasn't very far up since Bracken had him by the hand but the alien's far too lazy to walk on his own accord. Floating is much easier than walking. "I also want a huge bed! Nice and soft with fluffy pillows." Katze demands with a cheerful laugh.
"No more tiny bed."

But he seemed to be taking to the idea. Even though it wasn't much yet. Just on nice sized room. He moved to the center of the room as he showed it off a bit.
"A-A really nice man named T... Trahearne is growing it. H-He said he'd even do it for free! E... Except for the cost of s-supplies." A far better deal than he had hoped for. "So... So maybe we can u-use the money to buy a bed in-instead? You... You can get whatever you w... whatever you want."
He stumbled a bit more over his words in his excitement. But he couldn't help it. He wasn't a terrible picky man, but this home was really turning out better than he imagined. Less expensive, better built, right where he wanted, and now it had Katze's approval. There wasn't much more he could ask for. It was all plain on his face as he walked back over to Katze, looking up at him with a broad smile and happy eyes.
"I-It'll take a while, but... but I'll work as hard as I, as I can, and you can decorate however you w-want."
Really, Katze could make the whole thing pink if he wanted. He wouldn't complain.
Then, suddenly, as if he just recalled, he blinked and added, "O-Oh, and the pond is nearby. We can use it wh-whenever we want."

At least for now. Katze isn't exactly a changed man/woman or anything. The hot pink nightmare is still very much a nightmare.
"Trahearne? What kind of name---?" Katze scratches his head a bit at that oddity of name. "He sounds like he's like...weird. Like really nice but really weird." He means to say 'odd' but Katze doesn't really understand the difference between the two words.
"We'll make it pink and fluffy!" Bracken signed his death warrant by allowing Katze to pick the design. It's no surprise that the alien adores all things pink since his hair is bright fuchsia. "Maybe not only pink, maybe some other colors too like silver." This is bound to be one gaudy looking room judging from Katze's aesthetics. These two are going to need some help designing their house.
Katze pauses for a moment once Bracken mentions the pond. "...I WANNA SEE!" He yells happily as he hops around in a circle like the maniac child he is.

"H-He's really nice," he agreed readily. After all, he did all this for them and wanted so little in return. "H-He looks like maybe he's a... he's a plant."
In a way, he wanted to stay and enjoy their new home a little longer, even if there wasn't much there yet. He liked the feeling of being in his own private space, away from all the noise, where he could look out and see the tops of trees and nature below. The air was fresh and earthy and they were surrounded by nothing but the sounds of animals and rustling leaves. It was serene and comforting, and he could lie down and stare at the tear-drop shaped ceiling for a long time.
But, Katze wanted to see the pond, which was also nice. Lightly taking his hand, he continued walking by Katze back to the door to lead him down. It would be a lot more effort coming up and down for Bracken than it would Katze, but whatever. He'd get some exercise.
The pond really was close. If Katze paid attention, he might recognize it as a pond that Bracken had been in before. He'd used it several times - both to cool down on hot days and just for general soaking. There was a tiny waterfall pouring into it.
This might possibly serve as their bath until they got a proper one. He took a seat in front of it to watch the shimmering water. The days hadn't been hot enough lately for him to want to take a dip, but he could always use his spells to warm the water up if they needed.
"I-I really like this spot."

Katze has met cat people, monkey people (humans) but never a plant person. He spoken with sentient trees before on this one planet a little ways off of Ganymede but they were boring. That's why Berg Katze looks so surprised to hear that Bracken befriended a "plant" person. It seems that his chubby boyfriend is the people person type cause Katze hasn't ran into anyone like that at all.
Most of the people in this boring little world are all human for the most part. Such a drag!
Katze holds onto Bracken's hand once the other starts leading him back outside. He actually did recognize this place a little but this was the first time Berg Katze ever came here in person. "Oh~!" The alien is quite impressed with this pretty waterfall. It's stupidly gorgeous just like the rest of this location. Pretty enough to be a picture on one of those lame ass greeting cards.
"Heh, I can see why." Katze says in response as he eyes the crystal clear waters with a grin. "It's big enough for two! That means lots of fun time~" Bracken should know what he means by that.

This was better than any regular house to him. Better than his home on his world. He might have had a big mansion, but he lived alone and he didn't really care about all that extra space or riches. He mostly built it big because all his friends built their houses big.
This was cozier. And he wasn't going to be living alone. It was more like a home.
He leaned back against a tree and relaxed.
"Mhmm. A-And, no one is out here, so, w-we don't have to worry about s-swimsuits," he added, though his was more innocent than Katze's statement. It didn't have to mean anything.
He let out a happy sigh. "I-I think... we'll be really happy here."

"No swimsuits!" Katze cheers happily before deciding to partake upon this new policy. In just a matter of seconds, Katze dives into the water as naked as a jay bird in August. "The water is cold!" He grumbles after taking a dunk in the pond. All that can be seen of him is his brightly colored hair. He looks like some weird pink plant monster swimming about.
"Ya know, we could sell the water as revenue~! People like buying bottled water."

While he certainly appreciated Katze's body, as well as others', and he certainly enjoyed looking at people, he wasn't at all obsessed with it. He didn't stare when Katze stripped and jumped in. Instead, he crawled over to the edge of the water, where he dipped his hands into it and began casting a fire spell to heat it up. He'd play with the temperature of the pond many times before to suit himself, so he was pretty used to it.
But... it would take a while, and unlike him Katze got cold quick. After a moment, he decided he needed to warm up the place faster. He pulled his robes over his head and set them aside before slipping in, where he could easily control a larger spell. He had to be careful with them. Keep them away from any edges where they might catch something on fire, and keep it away from Katze. The easiest thing to do was keep it right in front of himself. The ball of flames under water continuously kept hot water moving up and rippling away.
"Y-You can sit over here... until i-it's warmer," he offered. The spots nearby his spell would warm up quite a bit quicker than the rest.

"Neh! You're so useful." Katze cheers as he starts working on perfecting his backstroke. "Not only can you get a decent house made but you can also do all these nifty tricks." This is probably the closest to praise that Bracken ever gotten out of Katze.
The alien seems as snug as a bug in a rug right now. Far too content for his own good and honestly enjoying the water, Katze suddenly floats over towards the blond and reaches up to try to drag him under. "Dun, dun, dun!" He's doing his best Jaws impersonation right now but he doesn't have a violin to mimic the theme precisely.

Though he was extremely happy about it. He did wish his magic could be more useful towards making it. Still, he was glad that he was making Katze happy. With a large smile, he kept his eye on the flame spell he was using to make sure it stayed just how he wanted it.
That's why he was caught by surprise when Katze grabbed him. His spell faded into nothing and he quickly went under with a surprised gasp.
