Greetings.

My name is Medivh, Magus of Azeroth. I have been here for about a month, and am at the point where I am needing to seek employment and new lodgings.

Where I am from, I was known as a Guardian, one of the most powerful mages of Azeroth, and a protector that was charged to protect my world from demonic threat. Though I do not hold that title officially as I travel and assist on other worlds, my abilities and knowledge as a Guardian is still with me. It is still an integral part of who I am. It is my purpose. I had never needed to seek out a profession before let alone a place to live.

As I have come to understand, there are people in the various cities here that are designated officially as 'Guardians'. I am in no way intending on stepping on any of their jurisdictions or authority. However, perhaps I can offer my assistance in some way, offering my skills and knowledge as a Magus and a 'Guardian' as my own world knows it.

If there is anyone in need of assistance or has an idea of employment or lodgings that would be well suited, do not hesitate to contact me on this device. I prefer to speak to someone face to face, so I will most likely set up a time to meet in person so matters can be discussed in more detail.

This world could stand a few more protectors. Have you seen the papers? Ghastly stuff; Genessia has no end of colorful criminals. Perhaps you might bag a few?

It does require a shift in outlook, of course. From the sound of it your world was attacked from without, like an invasion, whereas our problems are internal and rooted. Does that sound like something you'd like to try?

I have become aware of the odd curses that seem to be inflicting people as of late. I do not spend a lot of time on these device networks, but the papers in the city do come in handy.

I understand both internal and external threats. Dimension, time and world hopping does much to expand awareness. I just desire to use my skills and knowledge to accomplish something rather than sit back and waste time. I am willing to try any challenge at this point.

Um...I can't really answer your questions about employment or lodging, but...I'm also new here, and I'm trying to grow my magic myself. I have...enemies...back home, and I need to become stronger...

Ah. So you seek a teacher? I admit it has been many years since I have taught a student.

Who is this, that I am communicating with? I am rather new to trying out this device. It is both bothersome and....interesting.

Well, um...I'm not sure "teaching" me would help...but what I really need is practice, but I'm not sure how to do so outside of real combat. And that would be difficult without my team, and without any beasts to combat...

Where I come from, I know of sentient dragons. It is fascinating to me, to meet one from another world. Especially one I am unfamiliar with.

So, you work in a more supportive role in a team I am guessing? What sorts of magic do you work with?

Well...as a Light dragon, I would only be able to cast Light-based spells, and neutral spells. Although I haven't learned any Light spells yet. I do have a healing spell, and a non-elemental attacking spell.

Fascinating. I personally am not as experienced in Light magic, but I am familiar with the methods of other factions. Such as priests and paladins and such.

Perhaps it would be beneficial to meet and share knowledge in the near future.

Priests and paladins? I'm not sure what paladins are...

But where should we meet? I'm still not too familiar with this world yet...

Paladin's are holy warriors. Like a Knight, that can heal and inspire others. They use Holy magic.

I am sure that we will bump into each other soon enough. Now that I am starting to tinker more with this device, I should be able to receive messages on it. You can contact me whenever you wish.

Hmm...with a title and abilities like that, you might make a good security guard. Perhaps Fayren would suit you.

The newspaper has job listings all the time if you don't mind doing odd jobs outside of what you're used to. If nothing else, you might even be able to start your own business.

Fayren. I believe the dominant stones on the necklace I was given are specifically attuned to that location. I spent most of my time within Genessia so far, but after visiting Fayren a couple of times, I must admit, I would not mind dwelling there.

Hm, I may have to give this business idea some more thought.

I'm Karla, Deputy Guardian of Genessia City. I don't know anything about magic, really. My skill is with the sword.

I know many an ally that is skilled with the sword. How long have you been here in Genessia?

Hmm...it's been about a year and...

[A pause as she counts the months.]

Eight months? So...I'm coming up on two years here.

That is...a long time. Have you seen patterns in how or why people are brought here? Or the lengths of time in which they stay?

[swordprincess]

...Not at all. I've seen all kinds of people brought here, from the good to the wicked, and from the weak to the powerful. Some can be here for years, while others are sent back just after a short time.

So I really don't know how all of that is decided.

Hm, interesting. It is yet another item on the list of things to investigate and research.

You said you were a deputy Guardian. Are you a kind of Apprentice?

An apprentice? Not really...I'm merely an assistant.

I see. There is much for me to learn about this place.

I'm at least curious to speak to one of these 'guardians' to see if I can offer my experience and knowledge.

The Guardian for Genessia City is David Haller. He's the one who took me as a Deputy.

The other Guardians are Satori Komeiji in Fayren, Blaze in Attleton, Fai D. Flourite in Everglade, and Weiss Schnee in Nova City.

You should recognize Weiss as the one who appears in the hologram in the Bay when you first arrive here.

Give me a scrying bowl any day...hrrmmph. [sighing] As for your question, I do not know. I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to find out. I skimmed through the pamphlets I was given upon arrival, but it mostly goes into how to operate this thing...and other matters like currency and the necklaces.

I wish I had the information you're looking for, but I'm afraid I don't know much more than you do. I'm still trying to feel out what this place offers as "employment opportunities" myself. It's been a long time since I've been anywhere that refused to take gold coin.

My name is Satori Komeiji, current Guardian of Fayren. Allow me to extend a greeting from one lost soul to another.

Many have come from their own worlds into this one. While the nature of "Guardians" here bear some similarities, I suppose, you're right to think that it isn't quite the same. A Magus and experienced in the protection of others...my world have similar figures. And during my stay here, I've had to do much the same.

All that said, Fayren is full of magic users such as yourself and a place to which you might feel accustomed. If you wish to meet me in person, I'd gladly welcome you for tea. I'll send you directions, if interested, and we can discuss the matter at your leisure.
