2nd Light (Forward-dated to Nov. 1st)
[It had been some time since Liora had first arrived, and she hasn't accomplished anything that she had wanted to. She hasn't found Cane or Snowy, whom she was with back home prior to awakening in the Bay. She also hasn't found Azalea, whom others have told her that they knew.]
[These little devices were convenient, though. As nervous as she was to use it, Liora figured this would be the quickest way to find out what she needed to know. Even if her friends weren't in this world, at least it would put her search to rest, despite the disappointment.]
Hello...Genessia? Um...my name is Liora. I'm looking for two more dragons, named Cane and Snowy. They're both white...although Snowy has a bluish tint. Cane's wings are a crystallized red, and Snowy's wings are teal. They were with me before I woke up here...so I don't know what happened to them...
I've also had several people tell me that Azalea was here, but I haven't been able to find her either. Has she really disappeared...?
[Her last inquiry takes a somewhat more serious tone.]
And lastly...does anyone know of a dark dragon named Erebus? If so, then...just stay away from him. He...he'll be after me. If he's not here, then...there's nothing to worry about.
[Except she will continue to worry about what Erebus may be doing back home. Has he done something to Cane and Snowy? Have they been captured? Or worse, killed?]
[Action in Fayren]
[Liora had found Fayren to be closest to the world she was used to. So she can be found there, trying to practice her magic. She hovers in the air in an open field, moving her wings to keep her airborne. She gathers her energy, forming a yellow glow of soothing light around her. But she seems to be doing something more, as she concentrates hard, straining her muscles in an attempt to control her power. But she could not accomplish anything more than this radiant glow which lit up the area and warmed everything within range, like the soothing sunlight.]

I don't think I understand what you're talking about...
Re: [Video] [Private]
[That was forceful, but he's in a forceful mood. He hopes that she's not too dull to understand.]
Last time we spoke on this thing, we discussed the subarchways. I told you, in so many words, that they are lies, and you said they didn't "sound so bad." Azalea lived in one, and now she is dead. That is what I'm talking about.
[He sighed anxiously.] I don't mean to speak ill of the dead, but it's for the sake of living, you especially, if I do. Forgive me, but I don't want you to come to the same end.
You and Azalea are very similar; anxious over circumstances that no longer apply. She started out that way; there were some fledgling efforts at getting involved and finding a place here, in Genessia. But I suppose it wasn't enough; eventually, she gave in and made that horrible place, and dwelt there.
The worst part were the other dragons inside. Specifially, her love for those soulless constructs over and above what lay outside those hollow walls. They were empty, barren lizards who meant nothing, yet she loved them as though they did. She lied to herself, and loved the lie. But if you give your heart to such things--in fact, to nothing, you'll come to annihilation.
I'm not blameless, either. I didn't say a word to try and warn and persuade her out of there. We didn't get along, so I thought it wouldn't matter...suppose I'll never know now.
Her condition steadily worsened. Even if something about Genessia interested her, 'twas always related back to the world she left. She got so homesick...suppose the disease became terminal.
Point is, no one can live in a lie and 'live' much longer. You either perish, absorbed by its oblivion, or else become false yourself.
So whatever you do, love the truth, and live in it as much as you can. Nothing else will serve. You cannot live in Genessia without being interested in it and its people.

[Liora sighs, trying to absorb everything. Even if what Ted said about subarchways was true, it still doesn't explain how it would kill Azalea. Still, there was one point she strongly disagrees with.]
...What do you mean "circumstances that no longer apply?" If you mean my circumstances back home, of course they still apply. I don't want to live in Genessia! My goal...my mission is much more specific than Azalea's was. My quest doesn't affect just me, but all of Sornieth...all of dragonkind.
[There's a brief pause, as if something dawns on her right then and there.]
That must be why the Beastclans have been after me...
Re: [Video] [Private]
Heh, if nothing else, you demonstrate perfectly what a blessing it is to be born unimportant. "The humble shall be exalted, and the exalted shall be humbled." How pathetic the exalted.
As you might have noticed, there are no Beastclans, or Erebus, or Cane, or Snowy, nor, I'm sure, any other vestige of the past that you didn't wear when you arrived. All you've got is a world you seem to despise.
Well, you don't want to live in Genessia, and yet you seem just as confined as the rest of us. The only alternative, I'm afraid, is dying. Which do you mean?
[Video] [Private]
[Oh, Ted doesn't realize the irony in his statement. Liora has always believed that she was unimportant, even as the Beastclans became more aggressive in their pursuit of her. Even after the encounter with Erebus, Liora had tried to deny that there was anything special about her. But that's becoming more and more difficult. The Lightweaver had chosen her to seek out the Fae of Light for a reason. Erebus and the Beastclans were after her for a reason. But she just can't fathom what that reason could be.]
...If only I knew what it's like to be born unimportant. Your life must be so peaceful when you don't have all manner of beasts pursuing you.
I don't want to live in Genessia, but I don't want to die either. I have to complete the quest that the Lightweaver has assigned to me. And that's not just because I want to.
Re: [Video] [Private]
Heh, I wish. The relation between beasts and I is somewhat reversed. Very contrary.
[But he got his answer; she didn't want to live here. If that doesn't change, she's as good as dead. And the walking dead never pleased him for long.]
That's...too bad Liora. I hope you'll come to attend to this world over the one in your memories; I wouldn't want to lose another dragon. Should you ever want help in that, you need only call. Farewell.
