[...Only to have her arms phase right through him. Dairine pulls back quickly from the unpleasant sensation, hovering a bit higher than before and rubbing her forearms as through she felt a chill.]

Oi, you don't get to be smug while agreeing with me on this!

[Now he's really getting under her skin. She swooshes across the room to her communicator.]

That does it.

[With a flick of her hand (and a little wizardry), the device turns on. Dairine throws Conan a sharp glance before making this call.]

Hey Kid! Get over here, the detective punk's being stubborn!

What? Why are you calling him in on this?

Because apparently I need backup to get you anywhere.

Maybe that was a clue that you should stop trying to make me go.

Not a chance, Conan.

[Dairine definitely isn't giving up now. Especially now that she's already called Kid.]

He's on his way. Better brace yourself.

....I'm leaving.

Not without a costume, you're not!

[Though if he wants to leave the apartment, well, that is what she was aiming for.]

[Dairine narrows her eyes, then shoots a glance at Spot.]

[Suddenly an invisible kinetic force pushes at Conan, driving him back into his bedroom. Once he's inside, the door slams shut behind him. There's a scraping sound as furniture moves in the main room. Good luck getting out with the couch in front of your door, Conan.]

[There is a cry of mixed surprise and outrage as Conan gets pushed into his room. Almost immediately there is the sound of a kick at the door.]

DAIRINE! Let me out of here right now!

[Dairine crosses her legs and arms as she floats. Nope, she has no intention of letting him out. Just sitting here waiting until Kid arrives.]

You break that door, you're paying for it!

[It's his door, so Dairine doesn't care either way.]

[The door isn't about to budge with the large furniture in the way, certainly not with Conan's little kid strength. If he goes for the window, he will find it near impossible to budge as well. No matter if it is locked or not, the window refuses to move.]

[ KID enters through the window, a bag under his arm. He brushes off his cape before glancing up at Dairine, his gaze flickering between her and the door. ]

Do I even want to know what's going on?

[Dairine either looks rather spooky or extremely ridiculous, floating in the middle of the room cross-legged. Her expression is a mix of boredom and frustration until Kid enters the room.]

He wasn't cooperating. Drastic measures needed to be taken.

[She flicks one finger towards the door, and the couch scoots back into its original place. Dairine sinks for a moment before bringing herself back to eye level. She frowns down at her translucent body.]

This would have been a lot simpler without this nonsense.
