Sonico In The Snow~

It's Christmas time, and Genessia is full of snow - the perfect time of year for some festive activities, and keeping safe and warm.

The Bright Sky Diner is looking for more ways to keep busy on the run up to Christmas. What better way to do that than with a Sonico in a santa outfit? Looks like her job for the morning and afternoon is to smile at people passing by, handing out leaflets with coupons. During the lunch hour, there are also free mince pies! She is sure working hard at being pretty and trying to interest folks to come along to the diner. A little later in the evening, when the fairy lights are glowing on the front of the diner, it's carol singing time. Sonico, along with her colleages (especially Sakuya) and some others, will be standing outside to entertain, their warm voices making warm hearts. How adorable and Christmassy. Did I mention Sonico in a santa outfit yet?

Since the singles evening, Sonico has been pretty scarce. She doesn't seem to be as busy and out and about as usual. Instead of her usual coffee shops, Sonico is choosing to spend a lot of time in the library. She can be found there at all sorts of times of day, but especially in the evening - a flask with her, some half-empty cake boxes, and a stack of books and stationery. She's studying hard, but feel free to bother her - especially when it looks like she might have fallen asleep..

The gardens are so beautiful at this time of year in the snow. The place seems to have Christmas lights decorating some of the fences and trees. In all, it's really quite stunning. So Sonico has decided to go for a walk at night, just as the sun has set. She has learned that one of her closest friends has disappeared. Yet another one. So she will be standing forlornly staring at a half-frozen pond. Penny for her thoughts? Bonus Round - Sonico actually appears sometimes during the day. Catch her on the way to the library in the afternoon, or rushing off to work in the morning.

"Okay Young Mistress. I hope you're ready to go because we're going to have some fun." Since Remilia had vanished, Sakuya had done her damndest to keep Flandre busy. The little vampire was a hazard when upset. And the loss of her older sister certainly qualified.

Rather than lock her up though, Sakuya was attempting to keep her physically and mentally busy. Hopefully it would keep her focused enough to maintain control while also not destroying the progress she had made socially since coming to Genessia.

"Are you petting the werewolves again? They'll be here when we get back Young Miss. We don't want to be late."

They would leave as soon as Flan arrived.

Sakuya was on time as always, dressed in a similar Santa outfit. Though she was showing far less skin. It consisted of a modest dress that went down to her knees, shin high black boots, a belt onto which was clipped the chain to the watch she always wore, and a fur trimmed red coat held by a single button in the center of her chest. She also sported the traditional hat as well as a pair of white gloves.

She, oddly enough, was also carrying a white parasol decorated with red diamonds, held out to shade a short, blonde girl by her side. This was probably the person Sakuya mentioned over the phone.

In addition the maid seemed to be carrying a large black case in the other as well as a thermos hanging from the shoulder of that very same arm. Certainly, this was a woman prepared for anything.

[Yashiro is out this late as well. Less to see the sights and more so because he had business to tend to in Genessia City. With that business squared away, he had planned to head back to his place in Nova City. Cutting through the Gardens provided a decent shortcut, but it was difficult not to notice the pinkette as she standing there looking at the frozen pond.

He approaches her after a moment or two.]

Super Sonico, are you waiting for someone?

*Deep in her thoughts, Sonico's response is delayed by a beat. She turns to face him as she approaches, immediately putting a smile on where she had looked thoughtful before. She shakes her head and glances back at the pond*

No. I'm just...here on my own.

I see. Would you prefer to be left alone? [He didn't know if she was specifically here by herself because she wants to be by herself or if she wouldn't be opposed to company.]

Oh, no. I don't really mind. I came here on my own but..I wouldn't mind some company.

*Sonico smiles at him again then readjusts her gloves before putting her hands back into the pockets of her coat*

Are you here waiting for someone?

No. I was returning home and I cut through here to shorten my trip. Then I saw you. [And so now he was here. Not like it was a problem. Had it been, he wouldn't have stopped and just would have continued on his way.

He was bundled up pretty tightly for the weather as well. Thicker coat and gloves to help keep him warm.]

[Aya was on his way home from the supermarket, drinking a hot cup of tea, when he spots Sonico not far away. At first he thought his eye were playing tricks on him, again, but no, it's definitely her. Even from the distance he's at, Aya can tell she's lost in thoughts that don't seem so happy.]

[He walks over to her and stops a bit behind her. Not very close. Enough to give her space when she turns around.]

Sonico?

*There is something a bit sad and wistful about Sonico staring out over the icy pond. She is busy adjusting her scarf when she hears a familiar voice behind her. Sonico turns slowly, almost as though worried she had just made up hearing someone. On seeing Aya, she manages a smile*

Hi, Aya. How are you?

*Sonico nods as listens, watching the pond for a moment before turning to him again with a warm smile. It maybe just took her a moment to get out of sad thoughts and into happier ones*

So how are you? Enjoying the weather?

[It was one of those nights when Athrun is working past sunset. However, for once, he realizes that he's working himself too long, so he cuts himself off. He's also feeling restless, so he grabs his winter coat and heads out to take a walk. Might as well do it now before it gets too cold.

He ends up going through the same park. And, as chance would have it, he spots Sonico staring out at the pond. Deciding to stray from his original plan, he walks over.]

Do you mind if I join you?

As the new assistant librarian, Trahearne was spending even more time at the library, more often behind the desk than lost among the shelves now. He emerged from a back room, wearing a jacket over his usual leaf clothing and a bag on one shoulder. His eyes were sore from lack of sleep and the unexpected amount of staring at a computer screen he had to do for this position. Pausing at the side of the desk he rubbed at his eyes with one hand, trying to ease the stinging.

Once his vision cleared, he glanced around a final time. Among the remaining patrons was one he recognized and he approached, happy to see a familiar face, even if she was currently asleep.

He stopped by her chair and bent down, lightly touching her shoulder. "Sonico?"

Sonico's sleep is deep enough that the touch on the shoulder only vaguely registers with her. For a moment, nothing happens, then her hand stretched out across the desk as though lying in her bed. She mumbled an incoherent something, then her arm nudged along the table ans bumped into a small stack of books which were then in danger of falling to the floor.

"Ah!" Trahearne jerked forward to grab the stack of books before it fell. One of the books smacked against his knee but they didn't fall to the floor. Phew. Before he tried to wake her again, he moved the nearest books farther out of her reach. Just to be safe.

"Sonico," he said a bit louder and gave her shoulder a sharp tap.

Now that did snap her into being awake. Sonico sat up quickly, eyes springing opem wide as her leg struck out, swiftly hitting one of the legs of the table. The books were safe from falling now, thanks to Trahearne, but her knee seemed to be what took the brunt of it, causing Sonico to cry out softly in pain.

"I'm awake! I promise! Am I late?" The questiona burst out her mouth in a panic, but then her brain finally seems to make sense of things and she focused on Trahearne, looking very sheepish now. "I fell asleep in the library again, didn't I...?"

Trahearne winced when her knee struck the table and straightened up quickly. He couldn't know she'd wake up only to smack her leg, but he still felt bad.

"Yes, you did," he said, apologetic. "Are you starting to make a habit of it? It's not the worst habit to have."

Not so bad. [He goes to stand next to her, trying to see what she was looking at earlier.] How are your ribs?

*There's nothing really so much in front of her. Just a frozen pond, with some frozen flowers, some bushes covered in white snow. Still, his question prompts a smile from her and she nods, pleased to have something to keep her mind busy now*

Much better! There's still a pretty ugly bruise there... But I can breathe without it hurting. It might be a while before I can do any real exercise but...

*Sonico looks a little sheepish as she make a sort of half shrug - she doesn't really exercise all too much anyway*

Sonico scrunched her face up as she admitted to herself that she had fallen asleep at the library again. He said it's not the worst thing, so that helped to make her feel a little better. Still, she didn't think it was very ideal, and shook her head slowly, almost ashamed of herself. "It is a...small habit, I suppose. It's not the worst, but it's not the best." She looked at the books spread open in front of her, glad that she hadn't drooled on the one she had been using as a pillow. "Oh dear..."

*Sonico is slow to turn round and respond to Athrun, as though she really was quite stuck in whatever thoughts were in her head at the time. Seeing a familiar face, though, seems to make her feel a little better, so she tries a smile instead, though it's matched by the look in her eyes. "Of course I don't mind. There's...nothing really happening here, though. Just me. Standing here."

Flandre had been off on her own again, mostly reading to who or whatever wanted to listen to her. It was something to keep her busy but this perked her interest as she put the book down with a bookmark. This could continue later.

"Huh? Oh, Okay Sakuya. I'm coming."

It wouldn't take too long for her to head towards Sakuya because what was this?

Flandre was in her normal outfit for the most part, but with red leggings and longer sleeved white shirt. Sher's still shying away a bit although trying hard to fight it. Hands are clutched behind her back to just be a reminder to keep control and no sudden movements to cause her to react poorly.

There is a tiny, almost sorta forced smile for now. She's still unsure but trying to give everything a chance.

Trahearne peered down at the unfortunate book that had been her pillow, a faint smile on his face.

"I used to fall asleep in the Priory library at least once every time I visited. The head librarian threatened to tie me to my bunk the third day in a row, one time." That had been a very real threat. "She was about twice my height so I didn't stay up quite so late after that. Now why have you been napping in here so often? More study on marine biology or something else?"

[Athrun allows his smile to fade from his face. His eyes look up and down Sonico's face, trying to gauge her expression and what it means.]

Really? It looked like you were staring pretty intently. Were you just looking into space instead?

"Really?" Sonico felt a bit better about falling asleep after hearing his story, which did cause her to giggle quietly. Then she peered up at him quizically, "That isn't going to happen to me, is it?"

Picking up her pillow book, Sonico started to flick through some pages, "I'm not getting so much modelling work right now, because of my ribs, and I need something to keep me busy so I thought I'd do more study." She paused on the page she was looking for to show him colourful pictures of marine plant life. "Pretty, isn't it?"

*At that, Sonico just starts laughing, quietly but awkwardly*

Oh dear. I suppose I was.

*Her cheeks are flushed as she starts looking around the garden again*

Sometimes my thoughts just run away with me, you know? Heh.

"I don't think anyone will be threatening you with anything for sleeping in the library," Trahearne replied with a soft laugh. He sure wouldn't be, he'd just have to keep an eye out for her during his shifts.

He looked down at the book, genuinely interested. It was very easy to keep his attention when it came to just about any area of study as long as he could learn something.

"It's lovely. Ah, if I may ask, were you injured recently?" He pulled his gaze away from the book to give her a concerned look.
