Caroling Open Post, forward dated to Dec 22

[Will casts one more glance back at the small group that had gathered together for this, and knocks at the door. As he hears the noise of someone coming to the door, he takes a breath and starts the melody of the first carol in a high clear voice.]

[OOC: This is an open post for anyone who wants to be involved in caroling. Feel free to join in as one of the carolers, as an accompanying musician, as someone being caroled to, or anything else you think up. This can be taking place in any of the cities. Yes, even Everglade.]

[Carolers have come to the Heaven's Court Apartments in Nova City! Anastasia was lounging in her bed like she usually does at this time. However, the sound of caroling just outside got her out of bed and to her window in curiosity.

She opened the window to her room to look out to the carolers and hear the songs better, listening on with interest.]

[The sound of a traditional carol sung in close harmony comes through the window. ]

[She waited patiently for the caroling to be finished before she speaks up. She didn't want to be rude and interrupt after all.]

"Are you really comfortable enough in the cold to sing songs to homes of strangers?"

Guess who else? Anastasia's favorite person ever!

"Hark! The herald angels sing
glory to the newborn king
peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled..."

He's pretty into it. Better bring out the figgy pudding.

[Upon spotting Ted amongst the group, the urge to shut the window and go to bed was very strong.

But, no. These songs seem to have gospel roots and she was a girl of her Goddesses. She'll show respect and tolerate listen to Ted's singing.

As much as she may try, she can't make any comment. She was completely speechless.]

[Being among the crowd with Ted and Will, Abel noticed Anastasia, and he waved at her. The priest answered:]

"It's for the benefit of raising the happiness in everyone, and spreading peace and joy everywhere."

[Okay, with Abel there to balance out Ted's weirdness, the whole thing didn't seem all that weird now. She leaned against the ledge of her window, one arm across and resting her chin in a raised hand. This was a curious form of charity and she would be content to listen to the caroling.]

[Abel is part of the carol group with Ted and Will. He's all dressed up warmly, singing the popular Christmas songs as he reads the lyrics from his booklet, often smiling and waving hello to people passing by the group on the street.]

Will takes up the high descant as they walk, launching into a series of clear notes that soar above the main melody of the old carol.

Ted's there too! He's a baritone, edging towards a tenor because of his relative youth. Judging by the piercing, obvious way his voice carries, it's clear he's in high, energetic spirits. Caroling! He's always wanted to. And hardly anything gets him in a better mood than firsts; trying something new. Now they've only to cross their fingers and pray no one rails at him for disturbing their slumber.
