[She had already been awake for roughly an hour now. It was rather jarring to wake up in a cave similar to the one outside of Gavada, and probably was just as much of a wake-up call when her feet landed in that chilly water.

Kanonno had already collected the contents of the box she woke up with and her broadsword almost as big as she is and exited the cave into the most frozen air since she can remember. Her manner of dress won't protect her from this cold for long, so she needs to find shelter soon. But she was distracted by a projection of a girl in white and listened to her explanation.]

"...She's really pretty... But this is really not Teressia?"

[No Ad Libitum? No Kratos, Raine, Chester, Mormo, or anyone she ever knew? This ought to make her terribly worried with Widdershin running amok, but they have the Descender to hold him off. She just hopes she can get back soon. This city doesn't look much like Doplund or Gavada. Definitely not joined with nature like Ailily. Whether this is Teressia or not, she was definitely lost.

A chilly wind blew by and she shivered. Okay, it's time to find lodging. She started to multitask walking, reading a map and messing around with this weird device. Maybe she'll pass someone who can help her? She is carrying an awful lot of things in her arms, plus that huge sword strapped to her back.

Just then, the device made a positive sounding tone.]

"Huh? H-hello? Is this working? My name is Kanonno. C-Can anyone tell me where the nearest inn is?"

Ah, the Amagi Inn on 16th and Pine will serve the purpose. Or if you're frugal and hardier, there's also the Commonspace.

"Oh, thank you! I won't be picky on where I'll stay, as long as it's warm.

As for my name, I don't know what it means."

[Small frown. Not know what it means? For Ted, that's tantamount to a confession of never being loved by her parents.]

"I'm sorry to hear that. Well, depending on pickiness, the Amagi Inn is pricier, but nicer, and shouldn't be more than a block away. The Commonspace is also nearby, though...very shabby. Free, but only for a month. Which will serve?"

[When it comes to "shabby," Kanonno could talk about how she hid in a barrel for a night or two spying on bad guys, she wasn't going to. It wouldn't be lady-like to boast unless the situation called for such a story.]

"I suppose I can make due with the Commonspace until I can find work."

[Ted would applaud that kind of vigilance, if be a little concerned they were putting teen girls on bad guy duty. Desperate times?]

"Heh, can't say 'boo' to frugality, I suppose. Will there be anything else you require, miss?"

[The glimpse of a large sword handle on her back indicates she can handle bad guys.]

"Yes. Can you tell me about this world itself while I go to the inn?"

[It was still really cold, after all.]

"Oh, why certainly. There's the..."

[Kanonno would get more than she bargained for as Ted made full use of that conversational blank check. Tell her about the world? Sure! As long as she could stand. Probably more. He'd go on about the cities, all five, and people he knew that populated each. Curioisites about the magical land, too, like the Halloween transformations that'd overtaken more than a few for a good while. He'd tell her all about the coming festivities, which segue'd into Christmas itself and the meaning behind it. He wouldn't forget his customary warning against the subarchways, naturally, and how ruinously false they were. Can't forget the evil spirits outside the barrier, too. While he's at it, it's only safe to warn her about how, charming as Genessia is, it had it's fair share of danger too, if the weekly bounties were any indication. Oh, and stay out of Everglade, wouldn't she?]

[By the end she'd probably regret not just heeding the hologram and going to the Welcoming Center, but hey, Ted's more than willing to give flesh-and-blood answers, wordy and discursive though it may be. Eventually he'd stop to catch his breath.]

"That ought to do for a start. Any questions?"

[When she asked about this world, she expected a brief summary of what it's like from a citizen's perspective. But now it feels like she got the full world history, right down to natural history. She had long since found the Commonspace, retired to her room and got settled in by the time he finished.

Much of it was very concerning.]

"Umm... N-Not right now. I think I'll have all my questions answered soon enough."

[She doesn't regret it though. Getting to a inn room as soon as possible was preferable to spending more time outside in absolute zero temperature. She can always go later.]

"Wonderful! I see you've already made accommodations too. Very efficient. Well, let me know if you require anything further. Good afternoon."

[Presumbly, after Ted has given her directions. The local school teacher in Attleton took a bit of his time to help out a newcomer.]

"Hello, you must be new. Have you found the inn yet?"

"Yes, I am. And I think I'm almost to the inn. I found it on the map, at least."

[It looks to be another block or two, if she's understanding this map all right.]

[Jade decide to explain everything. Being a school teacher, he's used to it, teaching little ones.]

"You must be in Genessia City, then. It's the main city of this world Genessia. My name is Colonel Jade Curtiss. Just like you, I came from my homeworld and arrived at the bay. Been here for 6 months now. You can pay the inn with red bills that is in your box, that's the world's currency."

"It's nice to meet you, Colonel.

...Oh, I was planning on going to the Commonspace. I was told it was free for a month. ...Is that not right?"

"Actually, that's quite correct. It's free for a month, and your red bills, it's going to run out by then. It's imperative to find work here. It's not that hard to find work in this world."

"I heard I can do work similar to what I did back home. I'm a member of a guild called Ad Libitum where we help the people with things too dangerous for most people."

"A guild you say? Well, I recommend checking out the city of Fayren, for that sort of thing. Once you settled down and get comfortable in this place. Just be sure to have the pendant on you at all times, if you want to pass through the city's gates and their archways."
