Operation 12 | [Video/Action]
[The video comes on to show Gale, decked out in a uniform of all things, complete with hat. He's illuminated by the faint blue lights of his new establishment, leaning up against the tinted counter with paint reminiscent of a military aircraft's stealth coating. There's music playing in the background and Gale isn't looking at the screen immediately, instead glancing off absent mindedly towards the side.]
Y'know, bein' trapped in this place for over a year really puts some things from home into perspective. It's kinda messin' with my head a little more than I'd like.
[He shrugs a bit and then looks at the screen, tipping his hat. He got his weird thought out of his head, now it was time for advertising!]
Heeeello again, ladies and ge-- [Ding! That was the sound of a certain notification for voting. Gale purses his lips and moves on.] --gentlemen. I'm happy to announce that my nightclub After Life now has a sister location right here in good ol' Genessia City. This is Hangar Queen, and we happen to be located on Fir and 22nd.
[He dramatically gestures an arm beside him to show off the place in view. There's an aircraft joke in that particular choice of location, but he doesn't expect anyone to catch onto it.]
In light of the recent elections, which I'm sure some of us are pretty sick of the political campaign drivel all over our feeds, [And by 'some of us', he mostly means himself.] opening a new place for booze seems like a pretty solid idea, eh?
And, being the generous soul I am, I'll offer the first drink for all new patrons for half off. But only the first one. As for Guardians and Guardian-hopefuls? Well. You guys really need to loosen up, so I'll be willing to give you guys a free one. That goes for the Deputy folk too because you guys aren't headache-free about this either, I'm sure. Which mea- [Ding! Another notification, and a prompt twitching of Gale's eyebrow and a brief annoyed tone to his voice.] -which means I fully expect to see at least a couple of you here. Obviously that offer extends to both alcoholic and non- coffee, soda, what have you.
And! If any of you looking for jobs don't mind the uniforms - which are tailored by the lovely Ayame Sasaki, by the way - then gimme a call.
[Ding!]
Oh for the love of-- that's it, come here!
[With gritted teeth in a fit of annoyance, he quickly reaches for his device and the feed cuts.]

[Action]
She didn't mind Gale and the constant pings from his device, because she's really just here to raid his booze. That AvGas was delicious; because coffee and alcohol? Two of her favorite things to drink? Hell yes. She's gonna get her some of that.
Ayame was inspecting some bottles behind the counter when Gale cuts the feed off, humming a tune and not caring that she basically broke and enter. Well, in her defense, she teleported herself inside ]
[Action]
... but then he realized someone was behind him and the lightning in his hand dissipated. He glanced over his shoulder in mild annoyance, his lips forming a thin line.]
At least come through the front door like a normal person.
no subject
[ Ayame responds with a sleepy hum, looking like she didn't hear him clearly enough. Gale wouldn't see it directly until she turns around, but Ayame's eyes are a little restless and her cheeks have a small flush of pink on them. ]
Did you just say something?
no subject
Ooookay. Either you just got out of bed and have a hangover, or you're already drunk before you even got here. Don't tell me some other place already cut you off for the night.
no subject
A hangover would imply I actually slept.
[ A sigh follows. She had been out and about in the snow, just walking around the city and hoping to find her ability to sleep ]
I just drank whatever I had at home. It's all gone now- Where is that AvGas you served in the party?
[ Which would only serve to wake her up more, but the caffeine crash that comes afterwards might be the one she's looking for to actually fall asleep ]
no subject
If you can't sleep, you sure AvGas should be what you're looking for?
[He shrugs.]
But I can make some for ya if you want it. I don't keep it pre-mixed, I-
[Another Ding! And there's Gale slowly looking down at the device with a look that was borderline screaming of murder.]
no subject
[ Ayame winced at the loud noise. Enough that a hand flew close to her ear as an instinctive reaction. A loud exasperated sigh left her lips to go with Gale's murderous reaction to his own device. As if she needed more things to wake her up. That was annoying enough for her to almost break her clean language. ]
Why is it doing that?
no subject
It's nagging me to vote in the Guardian elections. Every five minutes. At this rate, I'm going to destroy the thing and buy a new one once the elections are over.

[Or so he claims, anyway. He isn't sure if Jaune was sarcastic, but he'll roll with any excuse for him to stroke his ego for his own entertainment.]
Re: [Video]
Super loyal customers. The loyalist ones.
[He's not being sarcastic, but he's also a bit annoyed that he was denied actual alcoholic beverages during the winter wonderland party.]
[No, really Jaune, he was. Not his fault, man. He doesn't want his bounty license revoked.]
But she's not in charge of this particular city, so would it help to say I'm sorry if you swing by here and I make up for it?
[WEISS CAN'T CONTROL HIM HERE.]
No.
Her name is Weiss. How would you like it if I called you booze angel? [He actually likes Gale but too many people call her snow angel. He's definitely not including himself.] You can because your bartending license has nothing to do with bounty hunting.
...Admittedly, that might help a lot.
[He isn't gonna tell her no purely out of respect for her, since he was joking about the license thing.]
But hey, if you want to come by and get wasted when you're off duty, Hangar Queen or After Life, be my guest. She only gave me orders about the party and for any of her deputies that are on duty.
[Yeah, he's...a little skeptical.]
I already know the rule. And I will.
[If she's singling him out, he doesn't know about it.]
If any future parties get orders like that, I'm afraid you'll have to take it up with her on that front.
[Like she's one to talk...]
So...how exactly are things messing with your head?
[He needs more action in his life, dammit. Worst case scenario, he can start causing trouble for the Hiltraud subarchway again.]
Bein' stuck in this place puts how screwed up my home is into perspective. Not that I exactly needed reminding of it, but my own life has changed pretty drastically since arriving.
[He should be thankful for that, but some days he's not so sure.]
[She frowns at the mention of his "screwed up" home, and realizes that he's never really spoken much of it since they'd met.]
Um...should I ask about your home and your life?
[He shrugs then, leaning back up against the counter he's seated infront of.]
Depends on you. You wanna hear about the life of a guy who should be dead and was instead working for a group the whole world wants dead?
[It almost sounds like he doesn't want to talk about it, and makes her question whether or not she really wants to hear it. But she is curious of one thing...]
...Why would the whole world want your group dead?
Wasn't my group. If I had a choice, I'd be out to murder 'em myself for what they've done.
[He takes off his hat and tosses it on the countertop, looking back at the screen.]
I had to work for a group of ex-deities that sought to have the world still under an iron fist. Needless to say, the rest of the world that knows of their existence have a bit of a problem with their attitude.
[While she's still curious, she can see that the topic somewhat disturbs him, so she won't press on it. Perhaps another time?]
So...being here...would you say it's been a good thing?
[He hesitates. For a long time, he'd been meaning to talk a Guardian, or at least their deputies, about the high chance of him going berserk if he's put under too much stress. It'd nearly happened once, but maybe it wasn't completely necessary if it was only one time in the span of fourteen months...
He shakes his head.]
I sure miss flyin', but I don't exactly have anything to go home to there. As long as I'm able to keep my source of lucemite, I can at least survive and live 'normally' here.
[She blinks at his dependence on lucemite.]
You...need the lucemite just to survive?
[She reaches up, stroking one of her lucemite earrings with a finger. Now she sort of feels bad about using it as a power-up.]
