WHAP! Sanzo had limped his way to the Bay as fast as possible, fast enough to hurt like hell. That wasn't about to stop him venting his relief-fueled rage on the back of Gojyo's thick skull!

"You're late," he snapped, as haughty and cold as he'd always been. He crossed his arms, fan still in one hand, and the cane hanging from his sash. It was pushed back just far enough that if he stood still and didn't try to walk, maybe Gojyo wouldn't notice it.

He was betting on Gojyo's indignation distracting him.

"Aah! Shit!" Gojyo jumped forward after the fan made contact, and wheeled around, holding the back of his head with one hand. "Oh, of course you're here! His fucking unholiness himself!"

That's not relief. It's not. Shut up.

"And the fuck d'you mean, I'm late? I just got here, asshole!"

"Two of these goddamn shitholes and several months later." Sanzo tucked the fan away, as if he'd kindly decided to leave Gojyo alone. Really, he was now out of reach. He'd have to put the cockroach out of his misery if he laughed at Sanzo's limp.

"Did you bring someone useful with you, kappa?" At this rate, Sanzo would've taken Kougaiji just for the familiarity. Gojyo was a much better option than that but he'd never admit it.

Oh, he would. He would laugh and laugh and laaauuugh. Just wait for it, Sanzo. All good things in time.

"What? You were just--" Gojyo glanced behind himself. "You know, in Jeep. Well, on the ground because Jeep threw us all out. Details, whatever."

Sanzo squinted. Was that right...? Thinking too hard about the time before he blacked out and ended up in some fucked up tube gave him a headache.

"Time stands still while we're away." It was a terrible relief to know that rumor was true. He didn't want to know how they'd all react to him disappearing again but with nothing to trace that time.

He folded his arms, hands disappearing into his sleeves, and said, "This world may want to show mercy on you, cockroach, don't waste it. It's determined to punish me, your presence is proof enough of that."

[really, the only reason he's even paying attention is because that is a face that reminds him considerably of the cook. More the voice, but the cigarette as well. And he knows where the cook is so this new guy must be someone he can poke at with great glee.]
