1st Survival
[Qubine was...irritated, to say the least when he woke up in an unfamiliar place. The last thing he remembers before waking up was taking a hit from a Shadow-based spell thrown by Erebus...one that was meant for Shayla. Qubine also remembers tightly holding Shayla as they fell from the sky, keeping her safe from harm. Then they fell into the water...and then everything went black.]
[Qubine listened to the hologram message when he came across it out of curiosity. Some parts made him snarl a bit. Other parts made him scoff. But when it was finished, one thing was clear. He was no longer in Sornieth.]
[He glances curiously at the device given to him, remembering the instructions on how to operate it. He presses a few buttons, but isn't sure whether it's broadcasting or not. So, Genessia, have a giant four-eyed masked dragon staring curiously at the video screen, tilting his head.]
All right...I've gathered all the information available in this cave where I woke up. I just have one very important question...
[He gives an icy glare.]
...Where is Shayla?
[Action - All cities]
[Well, if Qubine is going to be trapped in this new world, he might as well explore it and see what kinds of dangers were out there. Sure, the "Weiss Schnee" creature claimed that this world was relatively safe, but...safe for whom? The trouble is, the hit that Qubine took from Erebus did a number on him. He had steeled himself for the long walk from Dragonhome to the Windswept Plateau. But here...he needs to explore as quickly as possible, and the only way to do that is to fly. So with a deep breath, Qubine spreads his wings and wakes up, breathing heavily as he gained altitude.]
[He'd begin by flying around the outskirts of the city before exploring the inner parts of it, and then cautiously flying over the populated areas. That's when the pain and exhaustion begin to get the better of him, and he's forced to land. So hang on tight as the large warrior dragon suddenly lands in the streets with a loud thud, cracking the ground beneath him. At least he's mindful not to land on/crush any buildings. If there's one thing he respects, it's the hard work that goes into the structures, be they natural or man-made. At first Qubine seems oblivious to his surroundings as he gasps to catch his breath, with a light groan of pain here and there. And then he'll begin to glance around warily at the little people (or critters, in Everglade's case) that might be trying to flee from him...]

Since this is not her first dragon, with Liora being the smaller, Ruby approached the injured dragon, but kept her distance in case he might lashed out at her.]
Hello, are you all right? Are you hurt?
no subject
...And if I am hurt? What would you do?
no subject
no subject
[That was something he's never heard of before. Although they had plenty of healers and one medicine dragon back home...]
Does it have...healers?

[Not that the small girl can help and lift the large, heavy dragon by herself.]
no subject
[He narrows his eyes, examining the small girl.]
What are you, exactly?
no subject
[Ruby walk a little bit ahead to show Qubine the way to Fayren's archway, hopefully he'll follow.]
no subject
[He pronounces it slowly, feeling the name of this strange new species. Slowly, he does begin to follow, trying to step as lightly as he could.]
We don't have...humans...where I come from. But your world has dragons as well?
no subject
[Ruby took the lead, leading him to the Fayren archway.]
Here we are, if you step through that gate, you'll enter Fayren city. I think they would have a hospital too, with healers, and maybe they can help you futher.

[He looks alarmed at first as she (coincidentally) mentions the name of his best friend back home. But soon he realizes that she's talking about something else entirely.]
I see. Have you seen any...other dragons in this world? More specifically...the one I'm looking for is a Spiral dragon, light blue in color, with a long, thin body. Her underbelly and her silks glitter like the night sky, and she wears a diamond pendant around her neck.

"Oh, probably right where you left her, I expect. Haven't seen anyone with that name introduce themselves here. Speaking of names, what's yours?"
[So he has something for the plaque. Honestly he's kind of impressed this thing can even work a phone.]
[Strangely, he doesn't quite sound as upset about it as he had thought.]
If that's the case, I can only hope that she took my advice to fly to the Windswept Plateau...
[His face pinches. Why is this little...thing...asking for his name? Fortunately, he was never mean enough to try to drive strangers away, unless they attacked him. So he'll drop his name.]
...Qubine.
Re: [Video]
[He put a hand to his chin, looking thoughtful]
"...Huh! I haven't heard that one. What does it mean?"
I'm...not sure, really. It's just my name...
Re: [Video]
"Oh, I'm...sorry to hear that." [All the other dragons he's met had meaningful names, so he really does sound sorry. Maybe only girls get those? At least, he thinks he's talking to a male dragon.]
"Well, ah, do you stand in need of anything, for the moment?"
...Before I get into that, tell me about the species in this world. What sort of species are you? Would your kind, or the other species, try to kill dragons on sight?
Re: [Video]
"Oh, well there's all kinds. There are Humans and Demons and Monsters and Pokemon and Fishmen and Elves and Vampires and..."
[And so on. Qubine gets the longest talk of his life on all the above, and then some. Then again, Ted knows about one representative of each that isn't human, so he can't speak broadly.]
"...and that's about what I know. Oh, myself? A human, naturally. Son of Adam, and all that. On sight? No, not many of us kill quite so readily, unless something seems obviously monstrous. Like a zombie or something. Though I confess, it's a very tempting prospect."
[He says, playfully. He's always wanted to slay a dragon, at least once.]
[The answer does very little to earn his favor, in any case.]
...And I suppose I would fall under the "obviously monstrous" category?
[Ted would find it extremely difficult to slay this dragon. He's trained to...not get slain, to put it mildly.]
Re: [Video]
[The bigger they are...]
"No, I suppose you wouldn't. Too conversational for that. Subtly monstrous, at worst. If you've at least the trappings of civilization, clothes and all, you'll likely go unmolested."
[Because the fewer people who try to kill him, the fewer people he'll have to kill.]
Now, to answer your question somewhat...are there healers in this world?
Re: [Video]
[Not that he doesn't appreciate the practice of medicine. Orphne's medical expertise was crucial in curing the plague, after all.]
