Evaluate interpersonal relations.
Who: Arro Caine & Sonico Super
Where: Genessia City, Various locations therein.
Why: Two people honoring an agreement to spend time together.
Today, despite the temperatures, Arro was wearing a very simple, though well-cut suit as he walked to their agreed upon meeting place. Tucked under his arm, he had a present--a guitar, tucked under his arm that he hadn't gotten to get to her on Christmas Day sadly as he he been busy with his work; flu-season had hit the hospital and he was an infectious disease specialist. It looked to be one of his last big contributions before he stepped into more of a consultation role as he certainly didn't mind continuing, but he had to keep up the idea that he did actually get to sleep at night, and all the paperwork starting his own business was coming to a head. This was all assuming his business did get earnestly established, of course. Whether it did or did not; he would adapt as he always did.
Setting the present down, Arro folded his hands behind his back to wait. He had a long list of things he could throw at Sonico to see if she wanted to try; but at the same time when they had spoke she seemed content to just retreat from everything for a time. He sighed quietly to himself; things were gradually becoming complicated here and he had promised himself everyone was going to be held at a distance.
It was going to make him all the more closed-off if anyone he was getting close to vanished; but he would persevere as he always did through tragedy.

She arrived on time, because she was always on time, but clearly she had to race to their meeting place in order to be punctual, and she slowed down only when she was right in front of Arro, cheeks red from running. In one hand she held a bag that appeared to have a couple of small gifts inside, wrapped up in gold paper. "I made it! Hi, Arro!"
no subject
"Indeed you have, but would you like to sit down for a moment? Also, let me get you..." He trailed off, bending to pick up her gift and holding it up it up for her.
Urgh. Mega delayed notif.
She was slightly more startled at the sight of the thing he was holding out for her. It really could only be one thing. Surely it wasn't for her? "I have..these. For you." In return, Sonico held out the small bag of gifts.
no subject
"For me? I'm hardly worthy of gifts..." Still, he took the bag and kept his gift for her balanced on one hand, as he couldn't quite unwrap hers until she took his. "You look resplendent today, if I might say." Which he assumed she knew, but he wanted to say nonetheless as it was hard to ignore.
no subject
Sonico was in danger of dropping something so she took the present from him and securely gave him the bag. She blushed as she cradled her gift, "Thank you... You look very handsome in that suit." Then she was blushing more for daring to compliment him like that. She was just glad he thought she looked nice.
no subject
"Dear me... It could just be the weather, Sonico, but that rosy tint to your cheeks makes you all the more alluring~" Since they were in a much less crowded space, he didn't have to pick and choose his words so carefully. Slipping the bag loops onto his arm, he reached to pull one of the golden gifts free and hold it up questioningly.
"May I, Sonico?"
no subject
"Oh! Of course!" She glanced around for a place to sit so it would be easier for her to get a better look at her own gift.
When he got the chance to open his, he'd first find a luxury woollen scarf a colour to best suit his complexion, a rather hi tech looking flask, and a set of high quality stationery including some state of the art pencils. Plus, there's a box of different flavoured macarons.
no subject
Everything seemed to have been picked with the utmost care. She even penned him as the type to use traditional mail. Fitting as mail was the primary way to send a missive after Mar. The flask would actually come in handy for the rare time he wished for a drink, though he also thought about keeping it as just a general survival item. Now, of course, it was time to wait for Sonico to open hers. It was obviously a guitar, but he hoped she liked it nonetheless, taking a seat next to her finally.
no subject
Then she smiled at him as he sat next to her and she started to open her gift. Once it was completely revealed, she gasped and stared. Then she started making noises of excitement as she looked it over, "This is stunning! It's amazing! Oh, Arro! Thank you!"
no subject
At her excitement over her own gift, he chuckled and put an arm aroung her shoulder to give her a small hug. He had questioned at first how an obvious Earth guitar had arrived here, but decided that was best left unanswered. Instead her reaction was answer enough for now. Seeing her in such a state had him mentally patting himself on the back. "I'm very pleased that you like it, Sonico~" Opting to hold his tongue on how difficult it was to find, or how much it cost, he let go of her after a moment. Thankfully a side hug was chaste enough to keep his thoughts from wandering.
To a degree.
"If you'd like, we could also drop your gift off at your home since it will be a bit unwieldy~"
no subject
"That's a good idea. You can leave your things at apartment too if they're going to be a nuisance to carry around. Slowly, Sonico stood to her feet, eyes still roaming over her new instrument. "I don't live too far away." And so she began to lead the way to the aparment block on the edge of the park, a spring in her step and a big smile still on her face.
no subject
Arro was content to muse silently on the situation as they walked, getting the door for her when they finally arrived. "Now...As this is your home, I refuse to even enter the building unless explictly invited~" He spoke with a teasing tone now.
no subject
Once they made it to the third floor, Sonico paused outside the door to her own personal apartment. "And just in case you're actually a vampire, you should know that you're invited in here too." Then she giggled and turned to unlock the door, feeling oh so amused by her little joke.
Inside, the apartment is small but cosy. It's clear that only one person lives here, and also that Sonico has put her own brand of comfort and design around the place. "Let me go put the guitar in my bedroom!"
no subject
"No rush~" He didn't move very far inside just yet, but he did take in the surroundings carefully, looking over her personal touches. They were nice, very cozy and simple in the end.
"i may have to trouble you for tea some time, as well."
no subject
Then she went back to admiring her guitar. It was then it hit her just how difficult it must have been for him to get this, and she turned to him, biting her lip thoughtfully. "This guitar...It's so... It's wonderful. Thank you."
no subject
"That would be lovely," He spoke in regards to her offer of tea, but looked up to her as she turned to him. "Hm?" He sounded slightly confused, but held up a hand with an easy smile. "You are very welcome. I could do no less for one of the more charming people here, in my opinion, Sonico." He moved closer still and lifted a hand to slide his fingers through her hair.
"Now I just need to remember to be on my best behaviour so I'm worthy of said charm~"
no subject
"Well...I only serve tea to people on their best behaviour..." She couldn't quite meet his eye as she said it but she did hope he'd realise she was joking. Or flirting, though she may not realise that.
no subject
He drew back with a small expression of surprise, moving a hand over his heart. "Do you?" The question came quietly, full of suspicion as he drew closer again, leaning closer until he gently touched her nose with his own. "Just what is the best behaviour for you, Sonico?"
no subject
no subject
"Is that so?" He purred quietly, moving up at last to press a kiss to her forehead before he backed away. He took a deep breath and adjusted his tie, clearing his throat after.
"Dear me, I will do my best to aspire to your standards~ I like to treat my friends well, Sonico." He moved to take her hand gently and move to the kitchen with her.
no subject
"You've proved that already today." She smiled, bashful, and walked into the kitchen. She slipped away from him to start filling the kettle. "Green tea or black tea?"
no subject
"Why not green? Usually, I take black, but it is good to make a change on occasion~"
no subject
"Please, take a seat." Then she busied herself with tea, finally producing it in a traditional Japanese pot with the cups to match. "Here we are. Anything else I can get for you? Anything to eat?"
no subject
"This will do for now. I might take us to dinner later, though." Mostly because he can eat more than he let one, especially given how thin he is. "That said, thank you for the tea~" Taking his cup, he held it briefly as he looked thoughtful. This was considerably more relaxing than he had expected the day to be, not that he had anticipated anything unwanted.

no subject
"Regardless...What would you prefer, Sonico?"
no subject
"Let's go." So she picked up the tray and held it steadily as she carried it back through to the small living room, leaning over to rest it on the low table. "There, now we can relax."
no subject
Or perhaps she would? She seemed oblivious in a way that enhanced her charms, for him at least. For others he had to question if many enjoyed that. Helping her quickly stack everything, he had been aiming to carry the tray for her, but was too slow ultimately. So instead he followed her quietly, making an affirming hum with her second part. He didn't think she was playing up things much; yet anyway. There was a hint of questioning; but he knew he was shrewd enough to see through most people.
Of course he was still flawed as a being, regardless of whatever status might be placed upon him, so he tried to account for the fact he could be wrong. In the living room, which while many might find it small; he preferred cozy, he moved to take a seat on the couch, pausing instead as his thoughts dipped lowly as he watched her lean over. It of course was just a necessary thing; the table was low, and anyone that had to move to reach it would be in danger of at least showing off the contours of their body.
That was of course neither here nor there as he was certain that had not been her intention. A shame; but he wasn't here to simply oogle Sonico like many of her fans did; rather he was here...Why was he here again? Something about establishing territory for something he didn't necessarily want to claim for his own? Another 'innocent' mistake involving feelings and the bedroom? Humans were ultimately complicated, and as he took his seat, there was a small grin on his lips. "I confess I'm a bit curious who you entertain, Sonico." Perhaps a bit jealous as well. Even if it is not his business.
no subject
In the living room, Sonico happily poured the tea, again having to lean and stretch over the low table and to hand Arro his cup. Sonico joined him on the couch and settled back with her hands around her cup. "Who I entertain?" Sonico slowly shook her head and looked down at her tea, slightly embarrassed, "Oh..Not really anyone. I don't - I am not very used to inviting anyone for tea.."
no subject
Not that he was disappointed with the opportunity presented, and let out a wistful sigh when she moved away. Turning his attention to her once more as she joined him on the couch, he kept silent while he thought the matter over. "Dear me. I may have to come regularly, then." If he were capable of actually feeling disgusted with himself still; he came close now.
no subject
Sonico laughed quietly at his comment, leaning back against the pillows and the back of the couch to get comfortable. "Well, you'd be welcome any time, of course!" She smiled at him warmly, then blew softly over her tea before taking a couple of small sips.
no subject
Hw smiled at her words, sipping his tea quietly before be decided to play cautious and lean against her and then resume sipping his tea. "It warms my heart to hear it, Sonico~" He spoke quietly, looking down to his cup as he did.
