Operation 13 | [Video/Action]
[Private Action - Early Evening; Heavens Court 4004]
[Even since that report about the contaminated water supply, Gale's been a little on edge. He'd wondered for days why some of his things were missing - specifically his pilot suit, mask, device and a couple of spare outfits (that all looked the same because Gale preferred the same style of clothing). Since his roommate had vanished, Gale had originally suspected that Dante had pulled a prank on him, seeing that the devil hunter still had access to the apartment if he ever felt like dropping by. But... he wasn't exactly expecting to get the answer from that news report, and especially not an answer like that. That meant he had a double running around, and if he knew himself at all, that double could potentially be very unpleasant.
He was sure to check After Life and Hangar Queen for his other half, but both places were just as Gale had left them and there were no signs of any issues. Even when it came down to their money, the accounts were normal, so he could at least take some refuge in that. Depending on what could happen... well... they might need it after this is over.
After a routine check with the two clubs, Gale had returned to his apartment and took particular notice to his two dogs more excited than usual. They got excited whenever he got home, but today seemed a bit different in that regard. Which immediately gave Gale a bad feeling. Quietly shutting his door, he made his way towards his room and peered in, only to get snatched by a particular purple garbed man and pinned to his bed. Gale gave a blank stare, finding himself face to face with his grinning masked other self.
He knew where this was going.]
... Uh oh.
[Gale - Video]
[Well, if anything came from that earlier encounter with his double Orlok, Gale managed to successfully snatch his device back. It was a good thing he knew that pilot suit inside and out and that Orlok was too distracted to have noticed the pickpocketing. When the feed comes on, Gale's hair and Hangar Queen uniform were all messed up. He straightened his sunglasses and he cleared his throat, trying to come off as nothing happened.]
Thank Alruene I got this thing back from him. So, I hate to be that guy with the PSA, but if anyone happens to come across a particular asshole that looks like me that's wearing a purple butterfly mask, uh. Mind letting me know? I need to get that guy under control before he does anything stupid. And I mean stupid with a capital S.
Please keep your guard up if you see him. Being my other half, he's a bit of a loose cannon and that's never a good way to describe a cyborg with magic.
If found, please kindly return to Heavens Court apartment 4004. Preferably not dead. I kinda need him.
[Orlok - Action - Night; Any city]
[That cheeky other half of his actually managed to steal their device back. That's annoying. He was comfortable knowing that Gale was left in the dark when it came to the network and had hoped he'd be able to ride that out for the whole time, but he should have known better than to doubt himself. A mercenary's got plenty of tricks up his sleeve, even if Gale was the more do-goody side of him. That's what he gets for returning to the apartment so snatch some crystals and mess with his other half, he supposes.
But, since the whole thing about the separated halves with public knowledge, the last thing he wanted at this point was to get caught if a remedy were to be made. His freedom was more important than anything, and god knows he'd been cooped up for far too long. It felt like that freedom had been lost since they arrived in this place, what with Gale happening to follow the law. Since when was that a thing?
He needed a place to hide away. And potentially a plan to ensure that Gale didn't take that remedy, but he'd think of that after he gets a place to hide. So, he lurked the back streets of each of the cities, but he wouldn't end up leaving without having caused some sort of a ruckus. Bad eggs did tend to hang out in the back streets too, and some of them happened to make the terrible mistake of picking a fight with a cyborg. And it's quite possible that they didn't live to tell the tale, either.
Eventually, Orlok would end up in Everglade well into the night, a new plan crossing his mind. Surely an ex-employee of his would be happy to help her former boss, right? After he was so lenient the whole time she worked for him?
Regardless, he would eventually end up in the Everglade Guardian's office, and casually chose to lounge on the desk until the Guardian would make her return. Chairs? Who needs 'em. It's easier to relax (and pose) on a desk, any strewn documents be damned.]
[ooc: Orlok can be encountered at any time, in or out of the backstreets, but please be aware of how he may act!]

Grell's Desk
There is some blinking and looking around to make sure she opened the right door. Yep, definitely her office. Grell steps inside and closes the door behind her. Gale doesn't visit very often, so this must be important. There is a welcome smile for him, because he's one of the few people she likes.]
What a lovely sight to see~! [She closes the distance before setting her mug down on what space is available on the desk.] Get off my desk, Gale.
[But maybe she doesn't like him enough to let him sit on her desk. That's her job!]
no subject
I didn't hear a 'please' there, sweetheart.
[He tilts his head to the side.]
Unless 'please' isn't your thing and you more approach the ones who misbehave with that riding crop of yours?
[That's the route he more hopes for.]
no subject
[She'd be more inclined to draw and quarter him, really. Grell just rolls her eyes with a smile at his new pose. Casually, she leans in with one hand on the desk, and the other reaching into a drawer for that riding crop.
With one good whack to the top of the desk with the riding crop, giving him a smile that could either spell his doom or fantasy.]
Please get off my desk, Gale.
no subject
Careful, now. You might get me excited. [He purrs.] But whatever you say, mistress.
[He couldn't resist. Still, he does as he's told, throwing his legs back over the side of the desk and moving himself off of it... only to twirl back around to face her again and lean on the desk. Hey, at least he's not sitting on it now.]
So, how's this new 'Guardian' business treating you? It's a little depressing being down one hot employee to check out at the club, you know.
no subject
[As he leans on the desk, Grell takes the initiative to sit on it. At the question, Grell gives a light shrug while smiling.]
It's going as I imagined. There's much to do, but being busy has always been my routine.
[Grell runs her fingers over the riding crop idly, admiring the color and texture.]
Well, if I can spare the time, I'll stop by. Maybe even help. [She looks over to him, smirking.] Only because you're cute.
Do guardians get a discount?
no subject
Guardians and deputies have had a discount waiting at Hangar Queen since it opened, which no one's bothered to take up. [Saves him money and alcohol so whatever.] But I might be willing to give former employees their discounts.
[He shifts his mask to the side to make one eye visible.]
You might get a little more than that if you could help me out.

Orlok - Genessia City
no subject
Stay off of me. You'll stain my boots.
[He'd notice an indicator of another person nearby, causing him to quietly sigh, suspecting it was yet another from this unruly bunch. Still, he casually started making his way down the alley and further away from Karla, even despite knowing that whoever was standing down there would see the glowing purple trim of his pilot suit, and the blue markings on his neck.]
no subject
...Who's there? Gale...?
no subject
Ah! Good evening, Karla. Now what has you out and about in a terrible place like this?
[Casual conversation with a couple of corpses nearby? It's fine, the dead can keep secrets.]
no subject
I'm just finishing my daily patrol. Although I could ask you the same question. What happened here?
no subject
What do you mean- oh! [He snapped his finger like he just realized.] You mean these guys.
[He gave a loose shrug.]
I happened to come by while I was tryin' to scope somethin' out, but they decided to get all territorial on me. I can't say I appreciate getting ganged up on.
[He glanced to the side, noticing the person that had just had a meeting with the wall started moving again with a groan.]
Wow, you're still alive? I'm impressed.

Orlok-Near Everglade
[The cyborg eyed the pile of bodies nearby but it wasn't his fault they were laying there.]
He continued to walk hoping to blend into the night.
no subject
And Orlok certainly wasn't blending in with the dark surroundings of Everglade, with the glowing purple trim of his flight suit and the glowing blue markings on his neck easily giving away his position to anyone in the surrounding area. It was no wonder he was such an easy target around here.
Or not, as a freshly wounded creature nearby would have found out.]
no subject
[A creature would be on Marcus right away only to notice he wasn't human. Bad move by the creature. The human terminator grabbed it and kicked it against the wall making sure it didn't move.]
"Who's THERE?!" he tries to catch the other cyborg's attention.
no subject
Oh, yeah, real good idea! Yellin' in Everglade in all places! That sure won't catch any unwanted undead attention, right?! Surely nothing bad could ever happen in this place!
no subject
"... Sure, pal... "
[He walked toward the bright light cyborg]
"Nice bright colors, attracts the wrong crowd real fast."

ORLOCK- Genessia <3
They had great beer, for a bar that wasn't in Germany.
At least he wasn't out with his armor and hammer today, right?
Small victories!
What was probably less of a victory was the fact that the crusader had actually tried to take a short cut through an alley.
And maybe stumbled on a few bodies.
... Okay no he totally found a few bodies, and while he has no hammer, the giant took an instant interest in the nice rustic street lamp hanging around just outside the alley.
After all, no one likes being caught unprepared, right.]
no subject
Orlok clicked his tongue, noticing a marker indicating a new arrival behind him on his mask HUD. He didn't bother turning around, hoping that they might just pass by and not be bothered with the mess down the alley. He flexed his hand and shook his arm as an arc of purple lighting ran down his arm before vanishing.
He wouldn't move, but he's keeping a close eye on that marker while he keeps his back turned to Reinhardt.]
no subject
There's a loud, painful sounding groan and a metallic snap, the lamp light flickering out with a shower of sparks as his new DIY hammer is acquired.
Not gonna fly, Orlok.]
no subject
... ah shit. That sure is Reinhardt over there. There was no way he could mistake that body type for anyone else. And he's armed with a lamp. That can't be good for anyone.
Still, arrogance would take hold of the cyborg as usual as he allowed his stance to relax.]
You look like you're ready to knock someone's lights out with that, buddy.
[Arrogance and puns. The lifeblood of an Orlok.]
video;
[ There's a big difference, and one of them Weiss is more interested in helping with than the other. ]
video;
[Though the idea of Orlok walking right into a sign post would be incredibly funny. But luckily it's his reputation as much as Gale's.]
video;
[ No she would. She'd be okay with that. ] Think hard about yourself, what's something you've always wanted to do that you wouldn't because you're the half with more inhibitions, I'd assume.
video;
[Silly Gale, thinking that now since the Guardian knows, Orlok wouldn't be able to get away with anything. Or at least, not in this city.]
That kinda depends on whether I was in my right mind or not. Having a liquid magic substance running through your brain doesn't exactly play nice with my ability to think clearly sometimes.
[He bit his lower lip, seeming a bit nervous.]
But given how that can get and what's coming to mind, I really don't want him roaming around. I might need Gunner to hunt him down.
