*There's an incredibly bored-looking young woman on the screen - someone new on the scene. She sighs and rolls her eyes at the camera and waves a hand, like she's really fed up of this place already, which she is*

Look, if I'm gonna be stuck on this shitty planet can someone at least tell me where a girl can get a drink?

*She reaches for her pocket, where she pulls out a pack of cigarettes. There's only one left, and she pulls a very displeased face at this*

Or tell me where I'll get good food. And a smoke.

But here...I get a roof over my head and a bit of cash. So...that's not all bad, is it?

H-He's very handsome and refined. He'll... He'll treat you really nice.

[He quirked a brow. He'd never really thought of friends that way. But maybe Faye had different kinds of friends.]

M-My friends are nice. And... And they help people.

*Maybe. Then again, Faye can mean 'pain in the ass' as an affectionate term*

Well, that sounds really very pleasant. I'm sure it must be nice to have good and helpful friends.

Th-There's lots of people like that here that you c-can be friends with! A-And you're pretty, so I'm sure they'll want to be... to be friends with you.

[Although he was pretty blunt about it, he stated it more like it was factual than he was really trying to flirt.]

*Actually, Faye really rather appreciates his matter of fact way of saying it. It's much more flattering than if he were flirting with her*

Well, sure. My prettiness tends to be the reason anybody bothers with me.

*With a shrug, also just so matter of fact*

R-Really? It must be c... c...

[He paused, trying to think of the word.]

...Convenient, having people b-bother with you so easily.

Convenient isn't exactly the word I'd use for it. Sure, when I want attention it's easy. Rest of the time...

*She just shrugs and glances away, rolling her eyes in the process, showing as best she can what a nuisance it all is to her*

I-I always thought it would be nice to be p-pretty, because then people forgive you r-really easy if you make mistakes. A-And it's easier to be with the people y... the people you want to be with.

Well, that part - that part sure is true. I can get a way with...a lot.

*Faye grins at that, really quite impressed and amused with herself*

But the people I wanna be with? I prefer my own company.

[No judgment here. He couldn't blame someone for taking advantage of what they had to make their own lives more convenient. And he saw no particular malice in it, in and of itself.]

R-Really? ...A-Are you shy?

Honey, do I look shy to you?

*Not with that casual flick of the wrist, that grin and that cleavage she doesn't*

[He still had to think about it. What did shy people look like? Did they have a particular look?]

*She looks at him pointedly - he seems far more shy than she does*

[A momentary pause to think before he nodded.]

That's exactly what I mean. See? You got it. I had so many people bothering me back in...well, a whole bunch of other planets. Here, I'm going to keep my own sweet company.

*And she looks pretty pleased about that too*

D-Do you want to live in the forest, too? Th-The cities have too many people i-in them.

Forest? I...dunno. I never really thought about it. I've always lived in the city.

*She seems surprised to have the option*

Are there any bars out there...?

N-Not in the forest, but if you walk t-to the town there are.

Huh... I'll need to think about it. Could be peaceful. For now, though, I've barely a penny to my name so... I'll need to sort the money situation before I can think about a real home.

[He nodded enthusiastically. She seemed to know what she was going to do, for the most part, though he still had a little more help he could offer.]

Th-There's some inns. Some are cheap enough for new p-people. Like... The "Marsh Woodsman" in Fayren. A-And other places in other cities.

[Which he didn't really know the names of. But they existed.]

*Faye can't help but pull a face at that - it doesn't exactly sound like her idea of comfort*

If it doeen't have a decent shower and a bath, or a large bed, then I'm not interested.

*Beggars can't be choosers...like she cares*

I-It has a nice bath! J-Just fill it with water, then h-heat it up with water...

[As a small demonstration he conjured up a small bubble of water in one hand, and, letting go of that spell and letting the water splat away, he conjured up a small flame.

Th-The bed is a bit small for two people... But, you should be okay a-alone!

*What the? Faye just stares for a moment. Then another. Then shakes her head and leans back in disbelief*

Are you serious? What the hell was that? You some kind of magician or something?

*Forgetting about the bed for now because that was just too weird*
