Also, I apologize to anyone I may have offended while I was split. As it turns out, when your better half makes up more than half of your characteristics, the less kind of the two goes overboard in compensation.

ACTION AT THE SKYRISE
[ Listen, if anyone thought that Sun was going to ask Weiss to babysit Articuno that didn't mean she was going to have a giant legendary ice bird hanging out in her office? They weren't thinking. Weiss and Articuno get along too well to not spend all the time that Sun isn't there hanging out.

On the other hand, Weiss's deputies may or may not appreciate how ridiculously cold it is in the Guardian's office right now. It's like they just didn't bother to turn the heat on and instead went 'it's chilly out, let's turn the AC on.' Except there's no telling hum, it's mostly just ice-type Pokemon hanging out around the office. Even Lapras is in there chilling out with Smoochum humming while playing on his back.

That said, there's a lot of work to do. Mostly because bad!Weiss was more focused on herself than the rest of the city, so there's a lot of clean-up going on. But once that's handled and she can find a deputy to replace Nora.. well, then she can go on that vacation she'd planned- which she's rescheduled to 2/5. Four days of relaxation, followed by a couple of days at the Dream Docks. It's hard to say which order she should be doing that in, but since she can't know what will happen at the Docks, she's just going to worry about the stress she's currently feeling. Because she still really, really needed it for that.

If anyone wants to become a deputy, of course, they're going to have to put up with the cold icy office for now. Current deputies or anyone who wants to swing by is welcome too, of course. ]

OOC NOTE: The New Deputy has already been selected, but if your character wants to interview and not get it or stop by to play with Pokemon that's fine.

Is there a form to fill out?

No. You'll need to come in person and I'll ask you questions, then test your abilities.

Very well. But may I request somewhere with a reasonable amount of space?

[He can keep his abilities confined to tight quarters of course. But he doesn't want the resulting temperatures to freeze anyone to death. Besides which he doesn't imagine he'll look very convincing if he has to sit with his knees around his chin]

Of course. We'll start in the Skyrise and then head over to Holodeck'd for the demonstration.

[he doesn't know much about those places but he will trust her to accommodate him. And further if adjustments have to be made or else go their separate ways.

In either case he arrives in due course on the ground floor of the high rise, wondering if he should wait or proceed. In any case he hopes it is somewhere with slightly larger doors but he is very much doubting it will be so]

I should be there barring an emergency, in which case the receptionist will let you in and I'll be there as soon as it's taken care of.

[ Because honestly, she's got to do her job and she's hoping if he really wants to do this job too, he's willing to wait 30 minutes. Though she doesn't keep him waiting this time, luckily. The receptionist directs him to the correct floor, though seems a little hesitant about sending him in the elevator and recommends the staircase if he's uncomfortable.

..Weiss will figure out the elevator situation later.

When he gets to the correct floor, Weiss standing on her toes to put a binder away on a higher shelf. She manages to get it, then turns around to give a small snack to Articuno, who's standing next to her desk a full head taller than she is. ]

[at first he thinks the bird is Marco the bloody phoenix and is tempted to drop kick him out the window. But then recognizes it as something completely different before he can give into those Smokerish impulses. Instead he nods to the-- very young and petite lady standing in front of him]

Miss Schnee.

[ She's going to have neck problems if she hires this man. That's her initial thought. They'd spoken before but they hadn't met in person, so while she could tell he was large, she couldn't quite tell that he actually put Yatsuhashi to shame in size. But she doesn't stare for long, she's got better manners than that. She stands up tall (as tall as she can) and offers a hand to shake. ]

It's good to see you again, Admiral Kuzan.

[ They already spoke once, so she does have a little history on him- enough to certainly respect him, given his rank. ]

Likewise. [fortunately he's spent a lifetime of shaking much smaller hands than his, so he does it with practiced ease.]

Would you mind if I sat? [or she won't be the only one with neck aches]

Of course. This way.

[ She leads him to a sectioned off area with a nice lil couch and a coffee table. And grabs a chair for herself. She figures the couch will be more comfortable for now, she'll get him a nice big and tall chair if she hires him. Once they're both settled, she pipes up with her first question. ]

What made you decide to want to be a deputy?

[he hesitates but decides to forego the nice lil couch because, while it is nice, it is still lil. So he sits with as much dignity as he can, cross-legged on the floor]

I thought I could be content with school children. It's not enough of a challenge. Also, if I'm to remain in this world, I would like to leave an impact and see that law, order and justice are carried through. Especially when the threats can be more than many people can handle.

[ She'll definitely get him his own furniture one day. He's probably still at least as tall as Weiss sitting though, so it works out. She's already thinking about it because that's a good answer, too. ]

Most people settle for bounties- what makes you think you would be a productive member of this team instead of simply running bounty hunts?

Let me ask you, why not simply hire bounty hunters?

Oh, I know the trick of asking questions to find answers. I was an excellent student in school. My answer is the one I want to hear from you before you know what it is for certain, so you'll forgive me if I withhold answering until I have yours. You're the one being interviewed here.

[What does she think he is? He is not some teenager who needs a scolding or a lecture. He is a professional, more than, in his field, and if she were a little bit older and a little more aware of the world and others places in it, he might feel insulted.

Still she is a boss and if he wishes to do this it's not up to him to criticize. As to whatever he's feeling, his face doesn't move an inch]

Very well. I meant to emphasize that, I assume, the job requires someone skilled in time management, team building and crowd control among other things. Someone who knows how to balance justice without going selfishly for the top dollar.

As to why I want to do it, well it's simply to have some semblance of my old life back and to keep my hands busy. I have too much time on them. [beyond that it's not for her to know]

However, if you're concerned I'm willing to do a trial period to see if I fit in with your work environment.

[ He may not be, but she doesn't know him well enough to know if he is or isn't yet. If there's one thing she's learned from her father it's that grown, professional adults can be petulant and manipulative just as much as children can.

She seems to consider his answer for a moment. It's a very honest one and it's not a perfect answer, but in part that seems like it's more natural because of it. Perfect answers are more suspicious than anything. ]

I only have a couple more questions, but I don't think a trial period will be necessary. Where do you draw the line between pursuing justice and protecting the people both physically and in terms of their rights? At what point do you believe justice goes too far?
