Hm! And I had thought perhaps Valoran was the only realm toying with summoning magic. Though, to your credit, it seems to be on purpose, here. I see I'm not alone in being a fresh face. Pleased to make your acquaintance, everyone.
I've already seen some other inquiries on returning home, but they seemed to fizz out fast - and that introductory illusion was quite helpful! So I have a different question. This is a rare opportunity to learn about other worlds, and I would hate to waste it!
Is anyone feeling homesick enough to tell me of their own world? For curiosity only.

How about quid pro quo; I speak of my world, and I would love to hear of Valoran in turn.

Of course. I don't mind sharing in return.

The let me regale you with Tureil~ Nestled firmly in a binary starsystem, our years are long, 732 days, to be exact, to make a Turn; our years. Our months are twelve 60-day affairs, and during the hottest parts of the year, we experience 'The Long Summer'. Our true night drops down to only 4 hours a day because of the spacing of our suns. Mana is abundant, and to do magic one only needs to pick up a book. True mastery of course can take some time. Let me also speak to you of the Autocracy of Atael, captial city Mar, of which I hail~
We have technology far and above advanced compared to most countries, though some bumpkins like Deulnelia don't care much about such facts and are complacent... Dear me. I've gone off on a tangent.
no subject
Oh, I don't mind at all. It's fascinating! I hadn't given much thought to the idea of different year and day cycles... And to think that mana is so free that no magical aptitude is necessary to learn - isn't that dangerous?
[ She keeps her mouth shut on technology, though, because. It's not like Demacia is the most high-tech in the land. And this smart-phone itself is pretty confusing to her, so she isn't sure what he could mean by advanced. She doesn't want to come off as a bumpkin! ]

Sometimes, I forget I'm in a entirely different world, despite having been here for a good awhile already. It gets depressing when it happens."

Is that to say that your home is like this world?

"These are his words...
Far from it. Genessia doesn't have two-layers like my world, or anything similar to Rivell Knights, or threats like Dark Matter."

Personally, I prefer not to talk about the world I was in before I was here, though. It was... Less than pleasant, let's say. Though I am far from alone on that front, from experience.

I'm sorry to hear that. I wouldn't want to trouble you for details if it's a delicate subject, of course!
no subject
Nor that it's a point of pain for some.
Just be cautious. Curiosity can bite, here. Especially in Feyren, but sometimes things go crazy in other places too.
no subject
... How do you mean? [ After a beat, she realizes what she's just asked, and sort of giggles at herself. ] If that isn't too much curiosity.

Haha, uh oh, nostalgia can be a dangerous thing, here. I'm tempted to think it's an ingredient in the loss of those who arrive. Ah well, I'm hanging on. Suppose regaling you about an Earth story wouldn't hurt. Goodness, there's so many! I'll have to think about which to share...
[He does, leaving the line hanging for a good five minutes while he considers which story to tell from a world with thousands of years in it. It's harder than he thought; every story depends on one before and is better seen by hindsight. Maybe something short and sweet.]
"Hello again! That took longer than either of us liked, but I think this will do. In my country of origin, America, politicians became insincere." [He grinned.]
Shocking, I know. Most of them had stooped to slogans, catchphrases, and sentence fragments. You might know the phrase 'winning hearts and minds'; the politicians had largely ceased to believe in minds, assuming the mobs only had hearts with short attention spans. They assumed, with some cynicism, that the lowest common denominator was the largest as well, and so spoke simply and insipidly, figuring that was the only language the mob could understand.
Along comes a man, Perot, who does the complete opposite. Where they were short, he was long. Where they were emotive, he was rational. Where they were gassy, he was substantial. In a way, each cultivated their own audience in self-fulfilling prophecy. No doubt one's intellect was diminished in the wake of platitudinous politicians, whereas Perot's audience must have felt edified by education.
Alas, he was not the victor in that political contest. The other sort were better moneyed and better positioned, if only through sheer inertia. Still, he made a definite impact which still reverberates to this day. I assume; not on Earth anymore, of course. One man decided to pay a compliment to the collective intelligence of his country, and was received better than one might suppose. A loss, but a highly creditable one.
Well! How about Valoran, then?"

[ It's not as if that's terribly unbelievable... Of course, her kingdom is nothing like that, but it isn't off her scale of reality. But, hm. That ending, though. ]
Are you inquiring about Valoran politics?
Sure! Or Valoran religion; either sounds interesting. I hope Valoran didn't grow as tame as parts of Earth, where discussion of either was taboo.
Oh! And your name, please.
Hmm - well! In Valoran we certainly don't mind the discussion of different religions. I know that there are many across the lands, and I've seen little but respect for them all. It's hard to condemn beliefs when we've seen proof that other realms exist beyond our own - of course, there are always going to be things we can't grasp, or possibilities not thought of.
Politics, of course, are another matter. It's dangerous to let some run wild. [ and with that mildly alarming statement, she moves on!! ] My name is Luxanna Crownguard. Just 'Lux' is fine.

[ ..... also it could be useful if she ever gets home or communicates with home, but that's!! not anything anyone needs to know. ]

[That wouldn't lead to existential crises of finding you're from a game.
How ironic all things considered.]
Well it might be easier if I knew what your world was like. Like are you guys technically advanced like mine is or not.
I think that could be arranged. However, in exchange, I would like to hear more of Valoran. Is that fair?
no subject
[ Well. How forthcoming she'll be is debatable. ]

Perhaps we should start with introductions? My name is Xander.

Ever since I arrived here, I keep thinking that it's such a shame I didn't ask the guests to my home world more about their own.

You can learn a lot about a world by simply asking around. That's if one ever wanted to know anyway.
