[It had been some time since Ragyo's arrival, and she was finally settled. Everything was accounted for, and it was time to get down to business. Ragyo appears in a lavish sitting room, with a tea set on a table behind her, and framed as if being shot by a professional cameraman.]

Hello everyone, I am making this broadcast to announce that I am starting the process of establishing my company - Revocs - in this place. It will take some time to get everything situated, but in the mean time, I will be offering my services as a tailor and designer to anyone who wishes to do business privately. That is all for now.

[She clicks off the feed before starting another, this one with a filter making it private to the guardians of the various cities...]



[The video opens in a more sterile environment as Ragyo has moved down to her labs for what she has to show.]

I would like to make a small offer to the guardians of this place. From what I gather, there are a lot of people here with powers and abilities that would classify them as 'superhuman.' Now, I mean no disrespect to your own power, but you can only be in one place at a time, as can your deputies. As such, I would like to outfit the rank and file law enforcement to better protect the cities against those who would use their powers for less than noble causes.

[She snaps her fingers as the maid holding her device shifts to show another pair of maids, one wearing a standard uniform, while the other wears a stark white uniform modeled after the police uniform of Genessia city. The maid in the white uniform moves to the far end of the room, while the other produces a large sniper rifle from just off frame.]

The firearm my maid here is holding is a high powered, armor piercing, 50 caliber sniper rifle. The other maid is wearing one of my outfits, and has no powers or abilities that set her above the rank and file.

[Another finger snap later and the maid takes aim with the rifle and shoots the other maid. The camera holder quickly moves to the side of the white uniformed maid to inspect the damage, or lack thereof. Ragyo steps into frame a moment later, picking up the bullet that had been fired, the front of which was now flat where it had impacted the uniform, but left no mark, not even a tear in the fabric.]

More details on he capabilities of these uniforms are available upon request, but I hope this demonstration has at least piqued your curiosity.

[A soft applause at the demonstration as Grell tunes in. The woman has a point about the inability to be everywhere at once, even if she could do so (but it tires her out after a few tries).]

Point well made. [Trying not to make a play on words with "made" and "maid".] It all seems too good to be true, though, or at least have a catch.

[What would her intentions be to outfit their law enforcement with these uniforms?]

The only catch I can think of is that they - as far as I know anyway - only work when worn by humans. The fabric works with the biology of humans and draws out latent potential while making their own augmentations. That said, I don't think that should be a problem given the populations of the various cities.

How about this: if there was a test run for a small group of law enforcement officers or the Everglade Rangers to see the benefit of these suits, would that be possible?

[Not only effectiveness for making them a formidable force, but for morale as well.]

[Xander watches the demonstration out of mild curiosity. When he sees the gun, he frowns. He's since learned of the existence of firearms since coming to Genessia, and he dislikes them tremendously. Never mind his own armor is strong enough to deflect bullets, they're just too much power with too much ease.

Ultimately, the demonstration does pique his curiosity. Fayren's law enforcement is somewhat different from other cities, so he's still skeptical, but it can't hurt to ask, can it?]

I would like to learn more about these uniforms.

[She smiles, motioning to the maid modeling the uniform who begins to strike a series of poses, showing off the clothing as if she were in a fashion show.]

Of course. The material itself works with the biology of humans to draw out latent potential, augmenting the natural abilities of the wearer while providing heightened senses. The abilities conferred by uniforms can also be customized upon request to serve different roles. For instance, my daughter, Satsuki, has a group of close advisers in our world. One uses his uniform to gather, store, sort, and analyze vast amounts of information while another can protect himself and others from airstrikes should the need arise. It never has, but his defensive capabilities are second to none.

[Xander silently listens to Ragyo's explanation, and ponders a little bit longer.]

Curious that a material could interact in such a way with human anatomy.

[That's something he'll definitely give.]

However, I fear it would probably be wasted on Fayren's law enforcement. We have a semi-automated defense system that covers the city -- a series of magical automatons, specifically.

Ah yes, the dolls, correct? I've read quite a bit about those. Cute little things. But from what I understand, the dolls simply detain until someone with authority can deal with an incident, correct? If that's the case, your men would still be in danger, albeit considerably less. And this would aid anyone that is attacked by criminals for perceived slights.

As for the authenticity of how the fabric functions, you're more than welcome to come try it for yourself.

It's a shame Satsuki isn't guardian anymore, or getting Nova City outfitted with life fibers would be SO MUCH SIMPLER! But then, she's still the Deputy Guardian, so perhaps she still has sway~

[As soon as the camera is turned off, Ragyo ditches the lab coat she had been wearing, revealing the tank top that was little longer than a sports bra beneath it, and rolled her neck.]

It would be, but we have plenty of time, Nui. After all, Revocs wasn't built in a single day. We will clothe everyone in due time.

[She shakes her head slightly.] No, I haven't. One of her followers mentioned something about a mission of some sort. Satsuki will come to me in time though. I'm taking steps to assure that. Speaking of, Nui would you be a dear and try to find out the measurements of a girl named Anastasia? Apparently she sees Satsuki as something of an older sister. I'd like to get a dress ready for her.

Heehee, that's just like Satsuki, isn't it, going on missions all secretly! I wonder which follower it was though...

I believe it was the one with the hideous hat. When she greeted me, she was very insistent on showing me around in Satsuki's stead.

I've been a tailor for most of my life, and in my world, I run the single largest clothing company in the world. I didn't get to the top with sub-standard wares. Nobody can surpass what I have to offer.

Nova City's police force is actually robotic in nature and each of my deputies and myself have our own unique abilities so I'm afraid it won't be of much assistance to us, though I wish you the best of luck in other cities.

I would not be so quick to discount what my clothing can do for you and your deputies. Especially considering that my daughter seems to be working for you. Before she donned Junketsu, she was at peak physical performance, perfect in every way. She even went toe-to-toe with some upstart that was causing trouble in her school using a Kamui she had stolen. Afterward, Satsuki surpassed that delinquent with ease.

If there is one thing I've learned in my life, it is that there is always something bigger, something stronger, and something unexpected just waiting beyond one's line of sight. Even if you have your own abilities, I can augment them to help you more effectively prepare for what lies beyond your sight.

[ Yeah, Satsuki also told her to watch out for Ragyo and not to trust her and asked for a couple weeks off to prepare. It doesn't inspire confidence. ]

I've learned that lesson a long time ago too, particularly here, and what I've learned is that no amount of armor or battle-readiness can prepare you more than experience, individuality, and creativity. I won't make anything standard issue for the deputies or police department on principle and Satsuki is impressive in her own right, with or without specialized equipment, or I wouldn't have hired her.

[ She doesn't know what kind of relationship Satsuki has with her mother, but the way she was talking and her expression, it reminded Weiss of how she is with her father. Different, but reminiscent. She's not going to let her into the Nova City's department any more than she would Jacques and she definitely wants to make a show of believing in Satsuki herself, even if they don't always agree. That last part may be more for Weiss's ego when it comes to wanting to make sure parents know that their children are capable of plenty without their assistance, but she's liked Satsuki long before knowing this so it's certainly not a lie ]

[Ragyo just shrugs, knowing not to push too hard. There are other ways of distributing Life Fibers to Nova City.]
