Winter, February 13th - Sleepless Night

[ Genessia had made Ayame happy and more at peace for the most part, but this night was the first in a long time that she vividly remembered dark memories she wants to stay buried. Needless to say, Ayame was woken up from her otherwise strict sleep schedule. Wearing nothing but a silken robe over her nightgown and with a cup of warm chocolate in her hand, Ayame gazes into the nighttime scenery of Genessia that helps ease her troubled mind, Ayame checked the time on her phone. It's late for early risers like her, but for many people, 10 pm isn't even late.

Even when she has Anastasia staying with her and Hibiki who is sound asleep in the living room, it didn't ease the lonesome feeling that's plaguing her at the moment. She wasn't sure if it was a distant sound of a siren, or just her own mind, but it jolted her from a lost state. Refusing to stay depressed, Ayame had an idea. ]

It's Ayame. Anyone of you still awake?

[ Phone in hand, she sent that text message to a bunch of people she had met and like enough to be considered an acquaintance. Hoping any of them would still be awake at this hour. ]

Hello again. It's been quite some time since we've interacted. Have you found a roommate yet?

[ Ayame did come over to check out his house, but ultimately decided to keep her own apartment. In hindsight, it was the right decision. Or else Mayu would have to deal with her having a nightmare tonight and she wouldn't have been able to watch over Anastasia ]

[ He would likely sleep through her nightmare. His house isn't the most defensible, though. The only thing keeping him safe is his tendency to stay off the radar, despite having friends like Weiss and Satsuki.]

Need to talk about something?

[ He doesn't see the point in beating around the bush.]

[ Wow, straight to the point. She can dig this ]

Not exactly. Just too many thoughts running through my mind that, it's a challenge to put it at rest for the moment.

Perhaps it's just time for a vacation. Do you know any place that's good for that here?

I heard Fayren has some hot springs.
Maybe you can visit an archway?

I used Dream Docks whenever I needed a vacation, but that probably isn't relaxing for most people here.

[ At home, his biggest concern was his middle school judo club. Time apparently runs more slowly in his home world.]

I do not want to know what awaits me in my world, so the Dream Docks is something I wish to avoid.

Though an archway, I've had thoughts about visiting them in the past. However I've been too busy to do so. Perhaps now I could. The gates that lead to New York City and Tokyo are the most tempting. Have you been?

I've been to Tokyo. My boyfriend used to frequently go to Akihabara. It's fun.

[ He's more of a staycation type of person.]

Akihabara, huh? Even in my world, it's difficult not to have heard of that place. I suppose it's a good time to see it now, without having to fight anime figures that came to life that is.

[ Ayame is proud of her Kansai roots, and her experience in Tokyo has kind of gave the city a bad name for her. But not bad enough that she'd boycott a trip to the Tokyo subarchway. ]

So far, I've never experienced anything out of the ordinary in the Tokyo archway.

Plenty of Genessia residents remind me of anime characters.

Anyone from Remnant, anyone declaring their intent to conquer Genessia, any youkai or gods that appeared...
My brother had inspiration from everyone he met for his manga.


[ Everyone is anime. Mayu figured anyone he meets is more likely to have fantastical powers than not. ]
