[They really didn't remove the veil unless they felt it necessary. Most of the time, even without company, it remained in place, but... circumstances demanded.
They needed to brush their hair.
Without an actual house to sit in and do this privately, they'd simply absconded to what they could only figure was an abandoned building, unraveling the yards of fabric.
What a mess though. They thoughtfully scrubbed their fingers through the tangled locks of black and gray, digging around for the brush they'd 'borrowed' from somewhere.
They were going to give it back!
Eventually.
... Maybe.
If they thought of it.
Look, there were more important things to be done.
And what a task it seemed to be for them too, the bristles of the brush constantly getting snagged again and again.
This... this was going to take a while.]
