7th Castle: Homesick! [Video]

Hey, guys.

[Nora is sitting in a restaurant, nursing the largest parfait ever. She looks too down to even enjoy it. All she's doing it moving up the bits that are melting and sliding down before putting some into her mouth. Boredly. With one hand holding up her head with the elbow on the table.]

For the first time ever, I'm homesick. I thought a parfait would help, but... [She just looks at it and sighs.] Nope. So anyone wanna help me eat it?

I see. [She wished she could reassure Nora, but there was nothing useful the dream docks could tell her about Ren. She knew that she had made it home and that she was immensely grateful to see her family again and that Sun and his team were fine. Yang was too frightened to go near the dream docks and in a way, Blake understood. It had taken her a while to build her courage to go. But she felt like if Weiss had been mature enough to face whatever was waiting when they got home, then so should she.]

There's a lot of people I miss too. Look, I don't know if I ever told you this, but I'm sorry. For the way things...left off. I panicked. I didn't want anyone else to get hurt like Yang. But because of that, I also don't know what became of some of the others. I figured you and Ren would return to wherever you were living before Beacon.

[She remembered vaguely them mentioning something about being orphans, so the faunus chose her words carefully.]

[heartboop]

[Nora just shrugs, getting ready to scoop out some of the parfait.]

I get it. I've been scared before when things got rough. But one day, I ended up not being alone anymore to face the scary stuff. [Successfully scooping out a rather tall spoonful, Nora smiles to Blake softly.] Ren and I don't really have anywhere else to go. We probably would've found a place, but it wouldn't be permanent. [Her smile fades as she sighs.] Not in that environment. No where is really safe...

[She stuffs the parfait she scooped up into her mouth.]

I guess after Beacon, it would seem so. [Blake bit her bottom lip.] I couldn't get away from the White Fang, not even in Menagerie. Whatever it is you are avoiding finds you eventually. Even Genessia isn't really safe.

[Blake lifted her chin slightly.]

But I'm done running.

[She still remembered the feeling she had when she held the original Fang's flag in her hands.]

From what we know, things kind of are put on a place holder in our timelines while we're here. So nothing is going to really happen without us. I do wonder if we will remember this place when we go back though.

[heartboop]

It's not like we can run from this place anyway. [Nora just smirks at her own reply before coming to a realization about something she remembered talking to Weiss about.]

Are you really a princess?

[fade_to_black]

[Blake almost face planted off of the palm she had just rested her cheek on.]

Whhhhaaaaaaaat?! Where did you even get that idea?

I am the daughter of the village chief, we are descended from voyagers....it caaaalllls me.

From Weiss, who got it from Sun. [Munches on another spoonful of parfait as she watches Moana Blake.]

[Sun. Of course. He must have gone to the dream docks too. Her ears drooped as her expression turned exasperated.] I'm not a princess. My father just is sort of...in charge of Menagerie.

[She's trying to avoid words like 'chief' lest that be used against her too.]

So...you're some sorta daughter of a chief of an entire continent. That screams princess to me, Blake.

[Starts thinking up names to call her. Princess Blake sounds too long...]

I'm not! Just because my parents happen to be leaders doesn't make me royal.

[She's a - well she was a freedom fighter and then a huntress in training, she didn't stay in a castle like some pampered little ninny. She looks aghast at the very idea.]

[heartboop]

[Shrugs]

Close enough. There's nothing wrong with that, though.

[Takes in a mouthful of kiwi and cream.]
