Genessia City

If you have gone into the Pokemon Center in Genessia, you might have seen a sign that announces a Scavenger Hunt is going on. Below the sign is a stack of papers with a list of items upon it. Find those items and be the first one to turn them all in and you just might win a prize. But be diligent! You aren’t going to be the only person looking for these items.

[ooc: While the event takes place through OOC means, you can still use this post as a means of allowing your characters to mingle. Have them searching Genessia for the items and stumble across one another! First one to collect the entire list will win a prize. You can find the official scavenger hunt post here with a list of clues. Answers are meant to be posted there, so please don't post them anywhere else. And do not share answers.]

Out and around the city!

Well, walking out and about isn't just good for her, it's good for her pokémon and her dog. Now that the weather is warmer it lets her dress more lightly too, and after viewing the pokécenter and finding out about the scavenger hunt?

That was just one more reason to enjoy the city in general!

Adela would continue walking about then, searching for pokémon to battle and catch and searching for scavenger hunt clues while she went. Of course, she was available to talk, and finding more out about the cool little creatures that have come into the lives of Genessia's residents was a priority for her as well!

She is also up for battling (once she learns that the pokémon enjoy it and will be able to heal completely after), though I don't mind rnging for victory or finding a battle simulator somewhere if we don't want to just coinflip for the results. The scavenger hunt initially sounded like a fun idea, but with still needing to get settled in, among other things, Celia has decided that it's in her best interest to try focusing on checking the city out as opposed to simply searching for a bunch of things that were left out to be found.

At least some of that time has instead ended up spent on not losing track of her Zigzagoon, however, as it seems to want to go and check out anything and anyone it sees. Whenever it runs off, she flies after it—literally, with a significant gust of wind carrying her along. It's easier for her to keep up that way, compared to running normally.

The latest thing to catch Zigzagoon's interest? Adela. It bounces over excitedly, repeatedly barking out something that Squirtle or Chimchar, if either are outside of their balls, would know to be an overly enthusiastic greeting.

Celia's following not far behind, with the general area becoming a fair bit windier as she approaches. There's a mild frustration in her eyes if one looks closely enough; this isn't the first time that Zigzagoon's gone up to someone and started pestering them. When she does catch up, she touches down right next to Zizagoon—the wind stopping immediately once she does—and she gives her Pokémon a look.

"You're jus' gonna go say hi to everyone you see, aren't you?"

It barks back at her, probably some kind of affirmation; the tone certainly seems to indicate as much.

She then turns her attention to the other girl. "Sorry if we're botherin' you, he's jus' really curious or somethin'. I mean, he's been goin' after pretty much anything that catches his attention."

Attleton

Battling with your Pokemon is only one of the many things you can do with your partners. In Attleton, there is a Beauty Contest running. Anyone can bring their Pokemon’s natural beauty with proper training and instructing. Here, you can attempt that. Change up or style their hair, give them special tailor made clothing like a surfer outfit or wrestling leotard. Let your imagination run wild.

Enter one of your Pokemon into the contest and maybe you might win! Mingle, chat with each other and exchange tips unless you wish to horde them all for yourself.

[After the hatching of his Eevee and the confusion of the little critter subsiding, Blaze would be found with it at the Pokémon Center. He was taking in as much information as he could, and he certainly wanted to be able to take care of Eevee properly, and the strange building that popped up around the same time the eggs hatched was probably the best place to visit.

Right now, he could be found brushing the happy little Eevee in his lap. He was oddly relaxed, as brushing the little fox thing was kind of therapeutic. The Eevee had a little blue bowtie around its neck, but wasn't dressed up beyond that.

Probably because Blaze wouldn't know the first thing about dressing it up.]

Third place goes to... Eevee! Looks like the consolation prize is a small bag of Pokemon beans and a coupon for $5 off at Geraldi's.

[Well, if Gale had to have some kind of bizarre pet given to him by whatever powers-that-be that runs Genessia, then he may as well incorporate them into his business somehow. Cute mascots are always good for business!

But Gale is also both fabulous and arrogant, so he'll take his little sheep friend to the Beauty Contest. He's escorting his Mareep while wearing his Hangar Queen uniform, which the Mareep also has its own tailored uniform, made with a lighter material to make sure it stayed cool while wearing its new outfit on top of its wool. It hopped adorably by Gale's side, the hat bouncing up and down on its head.

A Ralts was also on Gale's shoulder, but without its own uniform. She didn't seem to like the idea when Gale pitched it, so she was only wearing a purple butterfly pendant. It was Mareep that was going into the contest, so she was fine where she was.]

With people like Nonon (and.. Ragyo) in her life, Satsuki feels she has a chance to make an impact here. That isn't to say that this is by any means simple; it does take a lot of thought to consider how to bring out her Meinfoo's potential with what's available to her. It's a little early, but she finds herself inspired by Meinfoo's evolved form.

With the props available, Satsuki is able to fashion an overly long-sleeved robe, and an oddly-shapped hat into a black jiangshi robe and mandarin cap, along with a grey ribbon about the waist and a paper talisman carefully pinned to the hat.

"Perfect." Satsuki can't help but smile to herself as she looks the pokemon over as it performs a kata, and wonders what Ayame would think of her work.

In second place... Meinfoo! How impressive! Your award is 1000 Red Bills, one all-you-can-eat buffet for both you and your trainer, and a TM31.

Fayren

A cavern has been discovered in Fayren that seems to house many different types of Pokemon, though capturing them seems to be impossible. However, battling them seems to yield good experience for your Pokemon!

Set forth and battle your heart out against wild Pokemon. However, nefarious members of certain organizations might be lurking to attempt to take your Pokemon away from you. So you best be on your guard!

[Satsuki doesn't spend a lot of time in Fayren, but after paying a certain someone a visit she had overheard the rumor for the cavern and decided to check it out- if anything for the chance to give her shining Meinfoo a chance to catch up a little closer with her other pokemon.

It's a little difficult to squeeze in as many battles as she would normally like with how she manages her time, so an opportunity like this seems welcome at first- then turns out to be it seems. Battles with zubat and graveller alike are challenging, but managable with Bonsly as a partner. After a good hour of training, Satsuki glances to her device.]

It is about time to return to Nova. The both of you have done well.

Nova City

Nova City is home to the Pokemon Stadium. Here, trainers can battle against each other to see who the better trainer is. The stadium is a large, elevated structure that is easy to spot. There are multiple platforms that trainers can use to battle.

Upon special request, environmental changing platforms (imagine something like this on a smaller scale) can be used as well. Certain environments can be debilitating to certain Pokemon while giving other ones an advantage.

[ A title she hadn't intended on keeping but apparently the Stadium never forgets when you completely decimate a man's pride. It's probably confusing too since she's here to train her new Pokemon, none of which are ice. In fact so far, she's managed to make a water-only team. Looks like things have gotten a little melty.

Adela hasn't done this before, but after the repeated assurance that yes the pokémon will be just fine and watching a few battles herself, she feels comfortable enough to try it. However, her flabébé isn't high enough level, nor are any others she's managed to catch, Chimchar she's certain won't do well against a water monkey to battle (at least she thinks it's water, it's blue and she's only seen water types being blue so far)... If it's one on one, there is only one choice.

Adela nods to Weiss, unable to help her enthusiastic grin while she straightens and waits for the official to signal the match start. ]

[It's been a while for Professor Sycamore to join a real battle, but since those most residents now own many Pokemon for a limited time, maybe he'll try to get back into a real Pokemon battle for a while. Since he's just finished his work for today, he's now wearing without his lab coat. As for his Garchomp, he decided to let her sit this one out due to the fact he's only here to train his new Pokemon for a while.

But just after he arrives at Nova City's Pokemon Stadium, he notices that the City Guardian herself, Weiss is somehow at the stadium.]

Hi there, Ms. Schnee! Hope you don't mind that I'm your opponent for today.

[If Weiss agrees, he heads to the opposite side of the stadium and sends out one of his new Pokemon he caught a few days ago.

[It's been a few days after the Pokemon appeared in Genessia and ever since, he spent after work not only researching some of the new Pokemon that appeared in other cities but to use his remaining free time capture and train his new Pokemon in a case of emergencies.

Right now, he decides to head back to Nova City's Pokemon Stadium to try battling a few trainers. He did battle once with Weiss, but he feels that he should try just more than one battle during the Pokemon's limited time in Genessia.

Besides, he can't rely on his Garchomp forever.]

[Letting Noir be his first Pokemon might be a little risky for him since this is his first battle he ever participate in, but he hopes that it might be a good experience for him.

[Ted's eyes take some adjusting to the bright, tawdry, and entirely lovable lights. The contrast with the starlit sky fires his blood for bellicose battle. And who should he find for an opponent but the venerable professor?]

Sycamore! Hah, prefer to do your research out in the field, eh?

[Ted might just feel a little puffed up if he managed to get the better of a distinguished expert. He'd even battled his Garchomp with Ted's own Gengar several times.]

[The lights, the drama, the violence, the sheer atmosphere. Ted was ready to throw down with the best of them, utterly eager to witness the power and splendor of this bizarre animal kingdom. He'll take on mostly all comers--unless you're psychotic, evil, or psychotically evil, of course.]

Everglade

Everglade is no stranger to ghostly activity, but this is different. Ghost Pokemon were now overly abundant in the city and are more like an infestation than anything. Which wouldn't be so bad if they weren't being problematic for the populace of the city.

They already plagued the Guardian's office, essentially taking it over and making it nearly impossible for anyone to get inside. Or to get any work done in there for that matter. All over the city they are causing problems, from knocking things off of bookshelves to hurling small objects randomly a across the rooms to possessing some citizens to make them do random things.

A call has been put out to help with this problem. Going to the Pokemon Center in Everglade will get you a special set of Pokeballs. Capturing one of the ghosts with them with send them off to a special PC to be stored, but access to that PC is denied to everyone.


[ooc: A reward will be given to the players that capture the most ghost Pokemon. This contest will run for the duration of the event. Every 8 comments made will net you 1 Ghost Pokemon capture. Whoever has the most at the end will win the prize. ]

Grell waltzed to her office, take away tea in hand, with her Togedemaru not far from her heels, when she noticed, before even stepping through the door, that things were amiss inside. With an eyebrow raised, she opened the door and was immediately confronted by a ghost pokemon. Being so thoroughly startled (and screaming a bit, no less), Grell dropped her tea in the take away cup onto the ground. Having never seen, nor expected, such a ghost to pop up, she couldn't help her reaction!

That was when Togedemaru came to the rescue. With a tingle even Grell could feel, Togedemaru let out a zap of electricity.

All Grell could think was what in the world actually came from that egg?! and then feeling grateful that it did come out of the egg.

[The sudden appearance of these strange ghost creatures caught even Cipher off guard, and honestly, they were being a huge nuisance. They kept meddling in his affairs, whether they were important or not, so that was enough for Cipher to get himself involved with the call for help to get rid of them.

So he entered the Center in the guise of Liam, albeit with the bizarre creature known as Sigilyph floating behind him. For something so bizarre to hatch out of that egg, he couldn't help but feel it suited him in a way. It should be of great help in the city as well, seeing how territorial it acted as soon as it hatched.

Now that he was equipped with those Pokéballs, he'd be set to seek out those damn ghosts.

Abel is only in the city to help the citizens with his two new companions, Yamask (Ghost-type) and a Solosis (psychic-type) as they are hovering behind him in levitation. Being his pokemon has a type advantage over the ghost-type pokemon that overruns the city, even if he fails to capture them with the special set of pokeballs due to his pokemon being under-level and under-experienced and still quite young, at least his pokemon gains experience from fighting and battling them, and hopefully wrestle free some of the citizens that were under possession.
