[Of course Jeb's excited to have more Pokemon! And hopefully Faith and Sneako will be excited soon, too...so far Sneako seems to be testing the newcomers, while Faith unfortunately hasn't overcome much of her shyness. She's not hiding in his lap but she seems reluctant to play with the others, except for hanging around Kangaskhan. And he knows he'll need to keep an eye on Inkay, who doesn't seem very friendly.

But things should work out for the best, right? With plenty of love, Pokemon can become the best of friends with each other and their trainers!]

I have a good assortment this time, I think!

[Tori gives him a little grin as she watches him.]

You think so? [She eyes her Shinx, who seems to be getting along with Cynny just fine.] I'm glad. I think I'm doing pretty well, too! ...even if it's just two new ones, you know?

[As if on cue, her Flabebe decides to rest on her head.]

Yours are already acting like one big happy family so far! [he laughs, looking down at the pair playing together] At least Kangaskhan will protect Faith if Inkay gets too mean...

[He actually has a name in mind for Kangaskhan, but he's not sure if it will make Tori happy or sad.]

It's always exciting to meet new friends. I was so excited when I first met Sneako!

I remember how excited you were. It was super cute~ [Of course she's going to say something like that in response. She is who she is, and he is who he is. She can't help herself.] So, think of any good names for yours yet?

[She has an idea for Shinx, herself. Flabebe, on the other hand... hm. She isn't sure yet.]

[He blushes a little, he always does when she calls him cute.] Well, not Inkay, but...[his voice softens] I want to call Kangaskhan Maria. She's very sweet, Faith seems to feel very safe with her, and I just know she'll be good for everyone else...

[Her chest tightens for a moment when Jeb says that. Maria... after her mother. She can't bring herself to say anything for a few seconds, but eventually she does.]

...yeah, I think that's a good idea. [She's being honest. Maybe it's a little bittersweet, but a Pokemon as motherly as Kangaskhan seems to be... there really isn't a better fit, in Tori's opinion.]

Oh, good...I know it's sad for us to think about, but it really fits. [He smiles, a sad warmth welling in his heart as he strokes Faith's fur] She was wonderful.

[about a foot away, Sneako and Inkay are staring each other down...quietly, no movement for the moment, but Maria may end up having her mama instincts cut out for her soon]

[She smiles a little.]

...yeah. [She pauses a moment, trying to find more of her voice.] Yeah, she really was.

[Suddenly, Shinx decides that she wants to investigate what Sneako and Inkay are doing. Tori reaches out, as if to try and grab her and bring her back over.]

Oreo, no--!

[Guess that's really the name Shinx is going to be stuck with.]

[And the sweet, sad moment is broken by antics! Probably for the best, though, since Sneako and Inkay were looking like they were about to start a fight.]

Inkay, Sneako! You be nice to each other! A-and Oreo, be careful, don't get in the middle of things...

[Tori can't help but laugh. At least Jeb's going with the flow with the name she's picked out!]

Good thing Maria's here to make sure things don't get out of hand, huh?
